Change Order Action Responsible ID

Hello, I am attempting to create a Streams notification that is sent to users when they are assigned as the Responsible user on a given CO Action. I have the notification created, however, I’m not sure how to get the Streams notice to push to the responsible user. Currently, the only option is the Responsible ID, which appears to be their employee number and Responsible, which is their name. Neither of these allow the Streams notice to be sent to them. Is there anyway to configure this notification? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IFS Print Agents Issue

IFS Apps 10 UPD 8. I am sure previously that I have had multiple print agents on the same server but appear to be having an issue. When we start the 1st print agents it starts without any issues, however, when we start the 2nd print agent it starts but the 1st one stops. Could you please clarify/advise?

Cannot establish FTP Connection

Caused by: ifs.fnd.integration.senders.ConnectSender$TemporaryFailureException: Cannot estabilish FTP connection to <host>:<port> I am getting above error when trying to test a routing address which has a destination type FTP.

When I am login to the account, the below error is giving. If that user has the app-owner permission, then the user can avoid that problem. But the error is giving for the other permission sets.

Aurena Freight Tracking from Customer Order

HelloHopefully this will be quick question.Is there a way to see ‘Freight Tracking’ info in Aurena from Customer Order Page.‘Freight Tracking’ is a tab in IEE on Customer Order Page. I seems to cannot find a way to see it from Customer Order screen in Aurena, it is not in ‘related Pages’ too.. it says ‘no recommendations available’I know we might be able to do it as custom menu and make it available on the Customer Order Page down the road. But we are wondering how IFS recommend or may be we are missing something… Thanks

Lesson Learned: How to avoid ORA-04068: "existing state of packages has been discarded"

Constantly changing business requirements put pressure on IT teams to change code frequently. In today’s globally integrated environments, however, the idea of a quiet maintenance downtime period is becoming obsolete. Thus, it’s necessary to be able to make changes on a hot running system. Everything I've read about avoiding ORA-04068 says to not use package globals. However, IFS requires module_ and lu_name_, so how can we get around this? The source code for DICTIONARY_SYS reads the values of these globals right from the source code. The globals have to be on lines 2 through 6, but nothing says they can't be commented out! Here is a demonstration of this trick at work. Package "one" uses globals, and package "two" uses fake globals inside a comment. Both get picked up in the sweep for the dictionary cache, but only package "one" gets invalidated on a second run. LU's losing connection to Base Tables

HiHas anyone come across an issue with LU’s losing their connection to Base Tables in Apps 8? I have just amended an existing published custom field, but when I went to re-publish I got an error saying the LU isn’t connected to a Base Table. When I check the Logical Unit it is no longer connected but it is was before and still is in our other test database.Any information would be greatly appreciated.Hayley

IFS Apps 8 Cloud Hosting

Morning,We currently have our IFS Apps 8 environment and database hosted on premise, however our servers are out of support in mid-2021. The business has therefore asked the question whether we could migrate our Apps 8 environment to the cloud most probably our own Microsoft Azure cloud.We use IFS MWO and PSO (360) as an additional layer to the core Middle ware server.Are there any customers who have their Apps 8 environment successfully running in a cloud environment or went through a similar migration? E-Mails are not received

We faced an issue when receiving e-mails recently. Our dealers send emails to our general email address which is configured in mail reader. Mail reader was setup to POP3 mail protocol and TLS as the security protocol. The issue is some emails are received and some emails are not received. Since some emails are received, it’s hard to say configuration issue. Has anyone faced similar issue recently? Any suggestions?

Custom Event Advice

I would like to create a custom event on the Order Quotation that triggers when the user attempts to release the quotation.Condition for the Event Action: NEW:ROWSTATE = Released I have created a custom field on the Order Quotation that is a calculation to display the margin percentage. On clicking Release the event needs to check to see if this field is below a certain number. If it is below the defined number then a message needs to pop up informing the user that they cannot release the order due to the margin percentage being too low. Aurena Custom Field in List Table view

I am trying to add a custom filed in Aurena - IFS10 UPD9 on Customer Order Lines, it is published in IEE, when i pick entity ‘CustomerOrderLine’ in Aurena, i can’t seems to find my added custom filed in the Lines Table, as shown in screenshot.. it is saved but not published. It should appear where i highlight in the Lines List table, as per my knowledge.I made sure the Visible property of the new filed is checked.

IFS Excel Add on tool

Hello Everyone, I have been working with the IFS software for the past 7 years and our team does a lot of data entry manually. E.g. 5 users 100 lines per Customer order and with a minimum of 5 orders a day. Consultants have asked us why we are not using the IFS Excel Add-in (Also called the Excel migration Tool). Which is a excellent question which imitatively raised major concerns from IT due to the tool being called a migration and accessing IFS directly from Excel (read/write/delete?) . I was wondering if any users in this forum have some stories on how it helped their company and what some of the downsides of the tool are. Successfully implementations To which extend is the Excel Migration tool being used (simple/complex jobs/ Data repair?) Restrictions of the tool Security concerns (e.g.can users destroy the tables of the database using this tool) IFS User feedback (greatly increased process and or productivity or used as a last resort due to time crunch) Looking forward to the

Lobby Navigation to an IAL or Information Source Query

System IFS Apps10 UPD8 Is it possible to create a drill down to an IAL or information source? I have create a lobby chart element and the data source is an IAL. The user has requested the ability to drill down to actual detail and cannot see a way to do this. For now I have created a quick report to the IAL and passed the year and week no that the user has clicked on in the chart but the quick report parameter dialogue box is displayed (with the year/week no) and the user has to click OK. I was hoping the parameter window would be somehow hidden and just opened the report.Thank you.

Excel Add In Migration Custom Field Not Working

Hello,Yesterday I posted a question about an Excel Add In Migration error. I was able to resolve that error. But the migration job isn’t inserting/modifying the data. Does anyone know what I’m missing? So far I haven’t been able to use the online documentation to resolve this problem. This is my migration job (I’ve tried several variations - this is the latest) - the Search function fetches the records from IFS Validating the data returns Validate OK Execute shows Updated in the Result Column But when I query the results in IFS there has been no change in the Custom Field I have tried entering the Column Name and the Column Value. I have also tried leaving them blank. I have separately tried both the OBJKEY and Contract/Part_no in the FETCHCONDITION Rule ValueINVENTORY_PART.CONTRACT=INVENTORY_PART_CFV.CONTRACT and INVENTORY_PART.PART_NO=INVENTORY_PART_CFV.PART_NOINVENTORY_PART.OBJKEY=INVENTORY_PART_CFV.OBJKEY The results are fetched and shown in Excel using SearchValidate OK a

Amounts of rows in table where 90% of all data is 0

We are working with the Project Resource Forecast functionality in IFS and we have bumped into a potential issue with the the amount of rows in the table PROJECT_RESOURCE_SPREAD_TAB. We have ~250 million rows in this table and 90% of all data is 0.We have thousands projects on the go and I am concern about reporting performance when pulling data from the associated table/view if we start using this functionality.Any comments and/or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.Many thanksMiguel
