Dear community.
Does anyone know if (In Apps9 UPD15) you can make a Custom field behave like standard IFS field, say for example Part No. Whereby you can free type a Part No in, or select it from the List of Values?
When i create a reference part no field, it only allows LoV, not free text input.

+19If you want free text and don’t mind losing the list of values, you can set it up as free text and validate the user’s entry with a custom event.
+19The LOV dialog for a reference custom field supports saved searches, and you can configure the dialog to default to a particular saved search. You might consider a saved search that prompts for a part number, then does a wildcard search against that. It would save a few keystrokes.
