Hi All, I have following situation with a customer. They sell modular equipment, so the complete equipment is produced as a part serial, and it contains multiple modules that are also Part Serials. All Part serials are defined as Serial Objects (the complete machine and the individual modules). So after Delivery of the machine, IFS creates the Serial Object structure based on ‘Create SM Object’ functionality on the CO line. So all Serial Objects of the modules receive ‘Current Position’ = ‘Contained’. Now: after X months, a module breaks down. They work with local service partners that remove the module from the equipment and replace it with a new one (the replacement itself is not tracked in IFS, no WO exists, you only see a sale and shipment of a new module). The old module needs to return to their HQ for breakdown analysis and possible repair. Currently I’m working on a project where I need to capture survey responses for multiple survey in a single task. Each survey have multiple attachment type questions. During my testing I found that when I’m taking the first survey (with attachment type questions) there is no issue, but in the subsequent surveys when they’re reached at the end and I’m saving the surveys. It is syncing the responses of the previous surveys as well, and it is happening for rest of the survey. For example, if there are 25 surveys and the first survey is synced to the survey 25 time the 2nd survey 24 time and so on.Here in this example: I’ve queried all responses for first survey (survey_id: 261), first question (question_id: 3295) and task id (61232), which should’ve only one response but in reality, there are 38 responses registered by server. August 2023 - Some customers have reported that their users are being forced through the Reinstall process that is normal when the back-end application is updated (ClickOnce functionality).There is an issue with the smart client reinstalling every time it is launched. This is a known issue for click-once apps caused by an MS update earlier this month. MS has since released a fixed version of that update that should prevent this issue. If the getting the fix described above deployed doesn’t resolve the issue, have the user click the “details” button on the dialog that pops up and that should contain the error to be reported to IFS on a Support case.

Using the Import/Export feature or the Person Copy feature to create Person records, the mobile_user setting of ‘N’ is being changed to ‘Y’. Why is this happening?There is an App Param named MOBILE_USER_LICENSE_TYPES which identifies the license types that enable use of FSM Mobile. Intending to be helpful, it sets the person.mobile_user = ‘Y’ automatically.The App Param named MOBILE_USER_LICENSE_TYPES overrides the person.mobile_user value set in Person Import or Copy Person function on Person record creation.The default value of this parameter is “STUDIO,NAMED,MOBILE”. This parameter can be changed if desired to restrict the setting of mobile_user to fewer license types.However, if the App Param is changed to remove any of those license types, e.g., ‘NAMED’, it will not be possible to set person.mobile_user = ‘Y’ on a Person record with a NAMED license type.Keep in mind that a STUDIO license type is required for access to the Mobile Designer feature. I am using the PI part line code and have set the ‘Update Product Structure’ flag to = ‘Y’ but when i complete a part usage it does not add to a structure. It creates or updates the product record correctly.How do I get it to update the structure when completing part usage?

Hello all, I have an issue with the Tool Panel and Scheduling Information Tab. The first requirement is that the fields in the red boxes should not appear at all in this specific tab when the user clicks on "make changes" button. However, I haven't found how to implement it. I have only managed to disable "Base Duration" and "Override Duration" through permissions so that the user can see them but cannot edit them.So the fields that should be hidden are:Update expected arrival time Base Duration Override Duration Attention textAnd when we choose status committed the 3 fieldsCommit the activity Commit the activity and preceding route Commit the activity and route The second requirement is about status transitions. I cannot find the control mechanism responsible for managing statuses and their alignment with permissible states, as well as how these states are utilized. Please provide your inputs...Kind Regards
Hi Experts! Have a question regarding the use of person_skills in FSM and PSO. In PSO integration, we know that whatever is in the person_skills will be pushed to PSO and PSo wil schedule accordingly.Eg. If Place A has Skill A and Person has Skill A, PSO can schedule Person A to any task in Place A. In the Person_skills table, there is a column called skill level. I do not see this column (Person_skill.skill_level) in PSO. Does PSO cater for this column? How does PSO use Skill_level?

Hello All,I am experiencing the following issue:Database Task Schedule has been created using method MOBILE_WORK_ORDER_UTIL_API.TRANSFER_WORK_ASSIGN_TO_MOBILE. Only change made to the standard parameters is TRANSFER_WINDOW_ = 1 Work Task is received in MWO and statuses are then updated in MWO. The statuses reflect correctly in PSO until “Travelling”. Thereafter PSO statuses do not change. Dispatch Console reflects all status correctly from MWO.If I manually click on “Transfer to Mobile” in the Work Task, PSO is updated correctly with all statuses past “Travelling”. Is there something missing in my config or is there an issue with this Method? Is there another way of automating Transfer to Mobile?Environment Details:IFS Cloud 21R2 PSO 6 Update 9Thank you for the help….

Hi, I couldn’t find anything related in any of the questions that have already been added in the community forum so I thought I’d ask the question.Not sure exactly what the purpose of this is as it was asked by one of our users. Is it possible to search for multiple task IDs in one search, i.e., typing in Task ID 1, Task ID 2 and Task ID 3 so they all get displayed at the same time in the list of search results? I’m thinking this was asked because one of our users would like to do 1 search for these tasks Ids and just be able to go back to the search results to view the next task rather than performing multiple searches for each task ID.Would be happy to explain further if this question doesn’t make sense. We have some Customizations on our Prepare Work Order Screen, such as amended tabs, amended field layouts.When opening Prepare Work Order via the navigator we get the expected layout / view. When opening Prepare Work Order via a Custom RMB from Cases we get the standard layout / view.What do I need to do so the Custom RMB opens the same View / Layout seen via the Navigator?Thanks,
My customer gets all it new requests from SAP integration in 23R1. The requests is created the same as would be done manually with these steps:New Request - identify customer, location, problem, Service Catalog, and severity. Request Details - select View and Release which creates the tasks that will be assigned manually or by PSO. MWO - technician accepts, travels to, starts work, and completes the task. Integration sends the completed tasks, documents, and survey responses to SAP.The tasks in IFS Cloud are only useful for a short period of time, lets say 30 days, and they accumulate quickly, affecting query performance. They want to know how to purge those tasks and if we have a way to do this. I could not find a ready made projection or product that addresses this issue. Can you provide me with some help on this topic?
