Field Service Management (FSM) & Planning and Scheduling Optimization (PSO)

Hello IFS Community,I am new to configuration in IFS Cloud and am wondering if there is any easy way to find out which arguments are expected by methods that can be found under Entity > Packages.I only seem to progress here using trial and error with some key fields. A current example would be the method MAINT_MATERIAL_REQ_LINE_API.Get_Task_Seq() on the entity MaintMaterialReqLine. Is there any documentation on this that i did not find yet? Not just for the specific case but in general? 

Can I install more than a single FSM Customer Portal. I have different requirements from different customers. Some need to add notes and others are restricted, also I’d like to offere different home branding to different customers as they are greeted by the home page.  In short, different branding and different requirements by different customers. This is to be managed by a different instance of FSM Customer Portal being installed, and so each customer will have their own URL?

Hello Expert,Could you please advise on how to handle the following use case in IFS Cloud and PSO?In our field service operations, we typically assign two or more technicians to a service job at the customer's location. It is only required that one of the technicians possesses all the necessary skills, while the others do not need to meet the same skill criteria.Is it possible to configure IFS PSO to allocate the activity to a primary technician based on a skill match, while assigning the remaining technicians based on availability and other constraints (excluding skills)?Thank you in advance.Regards,Bharathraj 

in PSO road map 25R1, AUT-E-199 : Improvements in the Optimization Engine“The ability to define a location and regions for an activity, even though there will be no travel to the location as the work will be carried out remotely.” is this feature already released?   Do we have any document related this?.we are looking for ignore address of the activity  . Assign resources to activity based on skill and region without travel.

Hi Team, We are exploring options to enhance user notifications in the FSM client screen and would like to know if it is possible to trigger a popup using business rules based on specific column values. Currently, we are aware of the "Type Alert" option, which allows us to display messages. However, we are looking for a solution that can throw a popup directly from a business rule trigger, rather than just displaying a message value. Additionally, we would like to understand if it is feasible to throw an alert or popup from business policies customization to inform the user. For instance, we have an OOTB method for attachments that triggers our customization policy. We want to return a message or alert in case of success or failure. Specific Requirements: 1. Popup Trigger: Ability to trigger a popup based on certain column values using business rules. 2. Customization Policy: Capability to throw an alert or popup

We have been presented with a challenge to integrate IFS FSM6 with ServiceNow.I believe that due to company security policies we cannot integrate directly and need to use middleware or Saas like Boomi. We need to integrate both Incident work orders and asset information.Is this a difficult thing to do? Is a lot of development work needed and is there a need for a lot of FSM support?Any advice, guidance or support would be geatly appreciated. :-)Many thanks,

Hello, Our customer has the following scenario:Technicians have a shift template of 50 hours per week. However, they are only allowed to work a maximum of 38.5 hours per week. For example, a technician might work 10 hours on Monday, but in that case, they would need to work fewer hours on the remaining days so that the total weekly hours do not exceed 38.5.We’ve tried to replicate this for PSO using utilization or shift utilization, but these features are based on daily utilization and don’t help manage the weekly total effectively.Do you have any suggestions on how we could model this in the system?We are using PSO integrated with IFS Cloud.Best regards,Iulia

We have noticed that Line Code items are consistently assigned a ‘Bill Cost’ of $1.00 and we are not clear on what is causing this behaviour.  The assumption is that a rule or parameter is making this calculation when the line code is added as a non part usage.  Can anyone shed some light on how or where we can default this to $0.00? Line code set-up with Unit Cost as <blank>  Thanks,Richard

I have users that sometimes gets the attached error message (“lookupCache Resource not Found”) when signing in to Smart Client using SSO. It usually occurs on first login for the day and it works after several retries. Does anyone have some suggestions on how we might solve this or what to look for in the logs?   

Dear Community MembersRef 24R1 IFS Cloud + PSOCurrently we are using Custom Events for various types of PUSH notifications for our integration layer, In reference to different entities tables example JT_TASK_TAB, JT_EXECUTION_INSTANCE_TAB, SVCSCH_TASK_ALLOCATION_TAB from IFS Cloud.We came to know that SVCSCH_TASK_ALLOCATION_TAB custom events push notifications can have issue in IFS Cloud and recommended not to be used. Instead of push we should do the pull for allocation information from IFS Cloud.Would like to know if any customers have successfully implemented the push notification of SVCSCH_TASK_ALLOCATION_TAB without any issues or who faced issue when implementing same? As we understand the pull will be more heavy on server when compared to push.We would like to have Realtime allocation information as visible in PSO in our integration layer, via push mechanism to avoid load on server or make redundant calls .Thank you in advance

Dear Community MembersRef: IFS Cloud Work Task / PSOWe came to know ,it is advised not to use Allocation on Demand  / Direct Allocation when using WorkTask with Resource Demand and using PSO.Can you please share if we have other members here who are successfully using allocation on demand (jtExecutionInstance) options in IFS cloud to assign tasks towards PSO without any side effect?Is there any product limitation or known issues, why Allocation on Demand should not used when supported by IFSCloud and PSO? Thank you in advance

Hi team, As per current design in PSO Appointment template we can keep the similar pattern of Timing for example : 8:00AM to 10:00AM, 10AM to 12AM etc. But there is a requiremnt this pattern should be changed for Weekend i.e 9:00AM to 11:00AM, 11:00ETC

Hi All,I have been exploring the new Contractor Management solution in 25R1 for Request Tasks. I like the idea of creating the PO Lines based on actual reported items like time reported of the contractor. There are multiple customers who have modifications for that in the Work Order solution.But I am supprised to see that in the Release Notes there is a restriction. Which makes it not possible to send the Request Task to the mobile of the Subcontractor Resource...Mobile Work Order for Service Contractor Resources. It is not possible to utilize Mobile Work Order for Service Contractor Resources. Any Request Work Task that is assigned to a Service Contractor cannot be transferred to mobile. I am looking for the reason why this restriction is build in?

As Part of a Service Management implementation we’re considering setting up the Service Technicians vans as a form of Mobile Warehouse but the Support documentation we’ve been able to find indicates that this is primarily intended for use in Part Searches, it makes no reference to what impact this would have on MRPIf our client manages some of the items contained within warehouse type VAN, will these parts be considered when MRP runs if they are also managed on a Safety Stock or Reorder point planning basis?

I use the Child Relation Editor to link to related tables without issue. In the example below I can successfully link to PRODUCT and use field form PRODUCT on this screen.  I now want to link to product_ext so the link would be stock_serial_id → product → product_extHow do I do that? I have tried the below.  However I get the error below when adding a field from PRODUCT_EXT so my linking method must be incorrect.  Any help on the correct procedure would be appreciated.Thanks,Barry

Hello, If we have a task that is allocated to a resource, they have not clicked on any statuses, if the resource wishes to move that task to the following day, i just want to confirm that the drag drop function applies to this scenario. Can we simply drag the task to the following day in console if it is the same resource without restrictions?  

Hello everyone,our customer performs many manual changes in PSO. When we execute a mass change, we encounter the following issue: only some of the unplanned activities are assigned to the selected resource, while the rest are returned to the unplanned activities pool.According to the documentation, there should be an option to fix activities to a specific date and time. However, this option is not visible in our system. How can we enable this option?I have admin rights, and we are using version 6.13.0.51.  Thank you in advance!
