Hi,

We’re on Cloud 25R1 SU5. Have a general question about using Dispatch Console.

As dispatch console shows only a limited date range into the past (max 14 days), what is the expected tool to view or plan active assignments and work tasks that are, say, older than 14 days? The dispatchers then have to use two or more pages - one for the tasks that appear on DC and the others for the tasks that don’t appear? How do you make this process easier for the dispatchers?

Cheers.

I believe that tasks that have not been assigned yet will still show up in the work tasks list, also if they are older than 14 days.

In which scenario do you need these older tasks to be available on the dispatch console? If they have not been assigned to a resource yet, or also after they have been assigned and possibly completed?

Hi @Roel van Zwieten

One scenario is that a work task (status = Released) is assigned (but the technician hasn't started work yet), and the allocated start date is about a month ago. As this is outside the 14 day period, this task is not visible in the Dispatch Console's work task list.

Is this the current design?

This work task then gets misses out, unless the dispatcher finds the particular task in either a lobby or by manually searching in work task page.

Right, understood. I checked and it does seem to be the current design, I am assuming this is (partly) due to performance reasons. As you already mentioned, I'd suggest using a lobby to identify tasks that have been assigned to a resource but have not been started yet.
