Data Migration

Hi All,When we do Data Migration using old Data Migration tool, we create legacy data file structure based on the Migration job we write.For example assume we need to migrate Customers.In the csv file we define headers as CUSTOMER_ID, NAME,CUSTOMER_CATEGORY,DEFAULT_LANGUAGE etc. based on the DM job column order  and then fill data in csv file  accordingly.Based on new tool ‘Data Migration Manager’ documentation, it looks like we do not need to do this anymore. Instead we can export legacy data into csv files as it is in the legacy system  and then import them into IFS Data Migration manager. After the import it looks like we can map legacy data into target tables as we require.We can also use dblink in order to map legacy data tables into target tables as well. Could someone explain and confirm if my understanding is correct?   

What’s the best way to migrate basic data between environments in IFSCloud? 

Are there any UK based IFS partners that deliver Technical training on lobbies, Data Migration, Events etc, but not specifically PL/SQL   

i want to create a migration job  using a method  ,that method name define two times in a package.ex, Create_Purchase_Order  method define in Purchase_Order_Api , one has 6 parameter and other one has more than 6 parameters .I'm using the method with 6 parameters, but when i try to execute the migration job getting following errors, any idea how to use these type of method in migration jobs?attached images.

After the initial installation it appears that there are migration jobs (at least the interface headers) available. I'm not able to delete them as there is no detail available so they only confuse the customer.List is shown as follows:I gave myself update access to the job.When searching via the page Migration Job (so not Jobs), I don't see it. If I try to add it, IFS returns the error message that the interface already exists.Any idea how to get rid of these jobs?

HiMy customer has installed IFS Cloud on-premise and is using Excel version - Windows Excel : 16.0.5317.1000. The customer has successfully installed the Excel Add In and the Excel IFS icon appears on the excel. But when the customer launches it nothing happens.Just to test in the same laptop we tried installing Office 365 excel and the IFS Excel plugin successfully launched. But is not working with the excel version the customer is using. The customer has no plans to update the excel version and is asking how to make the excel plugin work with the current version.Has anyone of you experienced this issue ? Is there any possibility the customer can launch the excel plugin with the version of excel the customer has.Thank you in advance. RegardsSumit ROY

Hi All,I have granted access to the Execute Job for one of permission set in the application. Now the users who has assigned to the particular role can see the window. But uses try to populate the records, it says "No Record Found"I refreshed the security cache and checked. But the issue still remains.Any help for this? Regards,Malin

We have a number of IALs that update on a schedule and they work great, but there are a few that always get stuck on the Update Status of POSTED.   Once stuck they will not update.  There is no background job associated with the IAL.I can do a manual update and it works fine.Any ideas of what could be happening here?

Community, I have a problem when doing migration job of updating part description. when saving the excel file to text (tab delimited), i can see the double quote is added by the system. please see the attached. after I ran the migration job, i can see the part description is also updated with double quote text. see attached.I am wondering how to fix this issue when updating the part description. Thank you.

Hi,for external (QlickView) security reasons we need the following format in the DIM_Employee/DIM_Person in the datawarehouse.FirstCharacterSurName+LastName. Like MKAISER (michael.kaiser@company.de)While I’m in the IFS maskSolution Manager > Security > Users > Create UserI will see IDENTITY and Database ID: with the formatting above.The System Info stays empty and the debug console don’t show anything.So any hints, in which View/Table I can find an PERSON_ID and DATABASE_ID in one row? Thanks a lot!All the best. Michael 

Can anyone tell me if the migration containers are the same for Cloud as they were for APPS10?

HiOne of our customers has a question in regards to the Migration job tool in excel. When we select a folder and highlight a migration job it opens. If we make any changes then reopen the file and connect it highlights the last migration job that was selected.  is there a way to change this so it doesn't highlight the last job? I’m assuming there may be a setting that needs to be selected? thanksGary 

I’ve tried scheduling jobs but they aren’t running. When I force them I've found that they are showing in system monitoring that they are last ran in 1969. Is there a place I can check on this date / time? It’s on a test environment.

Hi Team,   Anyone assist us that how can we execute batch jobs sequentially or parallelly in iFS 10.   I tried with Batch Queue configuration.   But i could not understand that how can we use FND MIG jobs here.  Help us if anyone know about  this.  Thanks in adavance 

Hi Team,    Anyone describe us that difference between FND MIG and Script for data migration in IFS .   why and when we use FND MIG and when we will use Script for Data Migration. 

Used a migration job to load starting inventory but it doesn't appear in the GL or inventory transaction history. (Inventory Parts in Stock is correct though) 

Due to high workloads on our own IFS contacts they cannot provide resources for us. So I’m asking for some recommendation about PowerBI consutants around Scandinavia(We are currently in Norway). We need live data from our IFS DB to be manipulated on PowerBI. What we need is a basic training and implementation.  Hope you can help us :) 

Hello,When I migrate the suppliers agreements they automatically appear in the "Planned" status and I would like to migrate them all to the "Active" status without having to do any manual actions. The field OBJSTATE on template seems to have no effect on the status… Thank you for your answer.

Hi,We are migrating data from Apps8-Support Issue (Module-SCENTR) to IFS Cloud. But in the IFS cloud we couldn't find the module-SCENTR and a page called ‘Support Issue'. Data is not there in the IFS cloud’s "Case Issue" either.So we would like to know how the Module-SCENTR is mapped to the IFS Cloud. Thank you and best regards,Rashmika.

In IFS Apps10 update 9 a migration job is working in update the same job doesn’t work anymore.No error message and result info mentions executed succesfully.The migration job is a job using an api procedure.the used procedure is PICK_CUSTOMER_ORDER_API.Report_Reserved_As_Picked__ Any idea?

in our company we are using IFS9, there is a big issues in the integration between inventory part, accounting and manufacturing system.does system have a report to display the missed information in each master data ? examplepart X doesn’t have accounting group which used in M1 and M53.
