Data Migration

Hello, I have run into a rather interesting challenge I can’t seem to solve.I create a Migration Job for the Excel addin, its purpose is mass change shop order dates.The Source Mapping was auto generated via the default settings on the migration job.When I Open the Migration Job in Excel and use the search and try to search with a date field, the search does not convert the query into the appropriate date logic. Is this something I need to somehow program into the Source Mapping itself?Migration Job:Excel IFS Search:Checking the Advanced Tab to validate and resulting error:Manually correcting this makes it work. This however is not great for the end user as they need to know to make this change when searching for dates and becomes more difficult to use.Looking forward to some possible solutions. 

Hi Team,    Anyone describe us that difference between FND MIG and Script for data migration in IFS .   why and when we use FND MIG and when we will use Script for Data Migration. 

Due to high workloads on our own IFS contacts they cannot provide resources for us. So I’m asking for some recommendation about PowerBI consutants around Scandinavia(We are currently in Norway). We need live data from our IFS DB to be manipulated on PowerBI. What we need is a basic training and implementation.  Hope you can help us :) 

Hello,When I migrate the suppliers agreements they automatically appear in the "Planned" status and I would like to migrate them all to the "Active" status without having to do any manual actions. The field OBJSTATE on template seems to have no effect on the status… Thank you for your answer.

We have a number of IALs that update on a schedule and they work great, but there are a few that always get stuck on the Update Status of POSTED.   Once stuck they will not update.  There is no background job associated with the IAL.I can do a manual update and it works fine.Any ideas of what could be happening here?

Hi,We are migrating data from Apps8-Support Issue (Module-SCENTR) to IFS Cloud. But in the IFS cloud we couldn't find the module-SCENTR and a page called ‘Support Issue'. Data is not there in the IFS cloud’s "Case Issue" either.So we would like to know how the Module-SCENTR is mapped to the IFS Cloud. Thank you and best regards,Rashmika.

Hi Team,   Anyone assist us that how can we execute batch jobs sequentially or parallelly in iFS 10.   I tried with Batch Queue configuration.   But i could not understand that how can we use FND MIG jobs here.  Help us if anyone know about  this.  Thanks in adavance 

In IFS Apps10 update 9 a migration job is working in update the same job doesn’t work anymore.No error message and result info mentions executed succesfully.The migration job is a job using an api procedure.the used procedure is PICK_CUSTOMER_ORDER_API.Report_Reserved_As_Picked__ Any idea?

Hello,We are working on data migrations of a 21R2 customer using the smart data manager. We have first started working with CUSTOMER_INFO and CUSTOMER_INFO_OUR_ID which has a parent-child relationship, both objects are in scope and target definition tables are also created.Our next step is to add the data in to the input container in "Mapping Legacy Tables To Migration Object” window. When we click on "Mapping Detail [Options]” > “Add into Input Container” we get the below error.   We investigated and found out the issue is triggered by the primary key/s of CUSTOMER_INFO_OUR_ID. Default values are empty. Please let us know what we are doing wrong here?

We are preparing to upgrade from IFS 8 to the Cloud and I have been tasked with deleting all “Planned” purchase reqs that have been created by IFS for the past 10 years.  There are literally thousands, is there a way to delete them all instead of going one by one?  Just for more detail these are EMPTY purchase reqs. HELP.

in our company we are using IFS9, there is a big issues in the integration between inventory part, accounting and manufacturing system.does system have a report to display the missed information in each master data ? examplepart X doesn’t have accounting group which used in M1 and M53.

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the Excel Plugin to access multiple data bases?I have a customer who want to be able to update both test and Prod.Not both at the same time, but be able to switch between the two.

I’m trying to use PowerBI to pull data from IFS. Someone mentioned that it’s possible through REST API but I have no idea and there are not many materials I can look. Does anyone have any experience using REST API?

Hi Everyone, We are looking at populating the Custom Stat No field with the HS codes (unless anyone advises otherwise).We’ve identified around the HS codes for around 100,000 parts so far (with many more to go). Does anyone know if there is a way to change them on bulk to add the code to the part (the field will be empty at present)?

 Hello,How to include multiple views on replication job? We have already replication job that replicates item data from one site to another sites. There’s only INVENTORY.PART view included in this replication job and it’s working, but now there’s also need to include PART_REVISION data to this same replication but I cannot figure out how this can be achieved. Here’s the original replication job with only one view. This works ok.  Here’s how I have tried to create new replication job with two views. INVENTORY_PART and PART_REVISION. Firstrly I’m not sure how should I use the “Source Name” field. I guess I should use join clause here but not sure how should I format it. I have tried with these guides but with no success..Internal Replication (ifs.com)Db-Links, JOINS (ifs.com)Replication tab of the new replication job Source Mapping tab:And Method list 

Are there any steps for migrating excel data into customer order line using latest IFS excel migration.

Good afternoon all,  I am after a little help/advise. My company are looking to add the Harmonized System (HS) codes to the inventory Part Record using the Customs Stat No field (unless anyone can advise me differently). We have identified over 100,000 inventory parts tariff codes and I wondered if anyone knows of a way to bulk upload them from an excel spreadsheet? At present the field is blank.
