Hi everyone,I’m having an issue updating a column label in assyst Net.I’m trying to change the label for “Event Type” using the IFS key:monitor.event.eventTypeThe problem is that assyst is not picking up the new value for this specific label.What’s strange is that other nearby/adjacent columns change normally using their IFS keys and the new labels appear in the UI, but only “Event Type” refuses to update no matter what I set.Has anyone seen this before?Is “Event Type” controlled from another key/location (hard-coded, system label, different resource)?Any advice on where to check or how to force it to take the new label would be appreciated.  

Does anyone have any guidance on we can utilise the ETM to add security groups to an Active Directory account? We currently have a hybrid environment and some security groups cannot be managed from azure so rules out the azure powershell runbook option I have found on the wiki. We are self hosted and running 1.10 version of the ETM.Thanks

I don’t really see dedicated spaces or structures for this, so I’m curius how others are handling it.For now we are using a separate service department for projects, workmanager, and the project name is selected as Item B on event forms. How do you organize your projects in assyst? 

Hi everyone,I have a question about assyst Self-Service / Logging Forms:I have a custom field of type Contact User (lookup). What I need is: when the end user selects a contact user in this field while logging a request, the form should immediately display that selected user’s mobile/telephone number (instant display), regardless of who the Affected User is.I tried to do this via assyst ETM Inbound, but it didn’t work because the inbound only returns details for the Affected User and does not bring back any details for the user selected in the custom Contact User field. Also, the phone field I want to populate is a single-line string, and it doesn’t support derivation/expressions on the form.My question:Is there any out-of-the-box way or configuration that allows showing the selected Contact User’s details (especially phone number) instantly on selection?If anyone has an example or best practice for this, I’d really appreciate your help.

Currently running v11.8.4.We’re developing a Self-Service form for managers to complete when new staff are due to start.  To all intents and purposes it’s complete, but there’s one thing that is niggling me.  The form pre-populates a field with the section value from the affected user (using the Section lookup), but as there is no system lookup for Department or Section-Department we’ve had to leave that as a free-text field.I’ve been working on an idea of having a custom lookup generated from the Section/Department combinations that is then linked to the field that will hold the department value on the form.  What I want it to be able to have this field be single-select with the available list populated with only the values relating to the selected section value.The lookup table records, the combined section-department names is the shortcode and the department name is the name.  Here’s an example: On the form, the section field is configured like this: I thought I could use a lookup f

Hello IFS Community,I am struggling with a CSS customization issue and have exhausted my usual solutions. I would appreciate any guidance.My Goal:Apply custom CSS styles to the login and logout pages for both assystMob and assystNETMob.The Problem: My custom CSS is working perfectly on the assystMob login page only but not logout . However, the exact same customization has no effect on the assystNETMob login or logout pages. I have verified in the browser's developer tools that the HTML classes and IDs I am targeting do exist on the assystNETMob pages. I have tried various selectors and !important rules, but after saving and refreshing, nothing changes on the assystNETMob side. My Question:Is there a different process or a specific location for customizing the CSS for assystNETMob compared to the standard assystMob? Hello everyone.We have a potential use case for the assyst CMDB where the form could contain up to 150-200 custom fields. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this amount of custom fields in a custom form, and if so, whether there any impacts (such as performance)? Of course we have the possibility of splitting those fields in multiple item forms to reduce potential negative impacts, but any other comments or even suggestions are welcome.Thanks!

I will illustrate our problem with an example:We have the application Assyst, which uses several technologies: Java 11 and MSSQL 2022. Therefore I created a relationship between the Assyst application and the technologies Java 11 and MSSQL 2022. Java 11 belongs to the product Java from Oracle. MSSQL 2022 belongs to MSSQL from Microsoft. Additionally, the application XY also uses Java 11.I can represent the technologies and products in two ways: Create the products as products in Assyst and maintain the technologies as objects. This results in the lowest maintenance effort and the Explorer view is relatively clean.In this case I would only have to maintain one relationship from the Assyst application to Java 11. This change was implemented due to recent licensing updates from Anaconda Inc. If you use the AI Server, IFS recommends upgrading to a version of assyst that no longer relies on Miniconda (assyst 24R2 SU6 or assyst 25R1 SU2 and later). This release also contains a fix for P16802. The release notes can be viewed here

Hi all,How can I find the name of the fields I need to reference in ETM via dot notation? For example, if I am in a datamapper where the assyst Resource is Event I would reference the outbound value of the Event id as outbound,self.id. If I want to reference the status I would use outbound.self.eventStatusEnum. This is not obvious to me. I would think it would be outbound.self.status or something similar. What I am looking for is a reference guide or any way to find every attribute of every object.Thanks.Trevor

Hello! How to mask data field in IFS assyst? i.e.EmpNo- 12345678 should be masked as XXXXX6789. Only the last 4 digits of EmpNo should be visible. Appreciate if any expert who can help on this.

I have a question regarding the use of the Event Monitor in assyst 11.8.3 or later.Is there a way to capture the Selected Answer on a ticket that has one or more approvals?In other words, if a ticket goes through multiple approval steps, how can I identify which answer was chosen via the Event Monitor?

Hello. We have a custom field added to our Contact User form for job title. There is a requirement to add the value of the job title to the info zone for the affected user and reporting user, but I am unable to determine if custom fields can be used in the Contact User Field Definitions System Parameter. Contact User form: We’d like the value to appear here:  Can anyone let me know if they have been able to configure custom field values to be visible on the info zone, or if this is even possible.  Thank you.  Duncan  

I have a problem with the Assyst Web homepage -  when I configure the layout and add monitors or reports, everything looks fine. However, after I reload the page or leave the homepage and return - I can’t see any of the reports or monitors. Assyst remembers the layout and what I placed in each panel, but instead of the content I only see a grey background with “EVENT MONITOR” or “REPORT” in the panel header. We’re running Assyst on-premise -  version 24R2 SU3 and I have full administrator permissions. Has anyone experienced a similar issue?

Hi!I have a question about using action templates and referring to custom fields on an event logging form. TLDR: Is there an easy way to get the value and/or shortCode from a specific customField, either by making VTLs in substitution keywords, or directly in an action template? I’m lookint for something similar to how visibility expressions can refer to a custom fields, and if possible how to get a list from multi-select fields.  Some context:Today a lot of time is spent on copy-paste from Assyst to Outlook when our IT users have to send email from certain postboxes, such as when comunicating with certain suppliers.We want to recude time spent on copy-paste from Assyst by pre populating most or all of the email from data already entered into an event. In this effort, we want to make action templates that create the emails for easy copy-paste into Outlook, and this template then needs to extract some values from a select set of custom fields. Is there a way to pull Event Info into an auto generated email when you submit a ticket in assystNET and assystWEB?Currently, our “Thank you” email provides the ticket number etc. and then the Event Description (EVENT_DESC).  The issue with that is that it shows ALL questions in the form even if they were hidden and/or not filled out. The data we want to show in the email are ONLY the questions that were answered (what shows in assystNET once submitted)We just want to hide any unanswered questions in the notification email. Currently, it shows like this:[[INCIDENT DESCRIPTION\DESCRIPTION DE L'INCIDENT]]No description entered. I have logged an idea for this, but am wondering whether anyone may have a better idea of achieving this?We have a custom logging form that has a custom item lookup, and what I would like to be able to do is provide the user with a short summary of what that item is/does. It doesn’t look like the we are able to amend the column profile that appears in the item lookup so it includes a remarks field from the CMDB, so the only way currently to achieve this is to create a caption field and manually enter the text - but for 100’s of items, this is not feasible. Ideally, what I would like to happen is when an item is selected, the next custom is a caption that is configured dynamically pull through the information stored in the remarks field of that item in the CMDB - only needing 1 caption field instead of 100’s. This currently isn’t possible, and logged an idea for this 5 months ago, still with no solution.Is anyone able to advise if there is a better way to achieve this? Any help is appre

When creating a new Service Offering in Service Manager, I sometimes have to create a new image to be used for that service offering. To be able to use this new image in Service Manager, I have to go into AssystWeb > Administration > Images and then upload the image.Would it be possible to have that same option in Service Manager as well, so that when I go to add the image, I can just upload it from there? Something as simple as adding the same upload functionality found in AssystWeb.
