Hello,After upgrading from assyst 11.2.6 and then to 11.4.3 and 11.4.4, some assyst Users started complaining about frequent disconnections from assyst Portal, well bellow the session timeout period defined in your system: 25200 seconds, which corresponds to our default shift time of 7 hours Yesterday I experienced this while updating an item form, suddenly I was logged off with a message that my session had expired. I’m finding it very difficult to track this issue. Any ideas on how to track this issue ? After analyzing my server.log file, I noticed the following issues several messages like the following: Unhandled exception: org.jboss.resteasy.spi.UnhandledException: RESTEASY003770: Response is committed, can't handle exception.Bellow that message, in general, just bellow it there’s a mesasge like this: “ java.lang.IllegalStateException: UT010006: Cannot call getWriter(), getOutputStream() already called” In both message there’s a full stack trace, making the log extremely large.
We currently have a situation where our test service catalog is missing on our test end user/self-service portal, while in production it is fine. When we log into the test self-service portal, the entire “Services” Menu option is missing/hidden, while in Production it’s shown.I even tried with my Assyst Admin account and still don’t see services in test. However, if I use my ZZGLOBAL account I see services and the catalog. The service catalog is available fine in Assyst.Web test and production. We're not aware of any changes we made that would cause this. Also, can’t explain why ZZGLOBAL can see Services but no other user, even an administrator can. We only use ZZGLOBAL occasionally and then only for setting up event monitors or query profiles we want to share globally.Has anyone encountered something like this before?Does anyone have an idea what about ZZGLOBAL would be different?
Hi All,I have created an assyst user but I couldn’t find where I can setup the username and the password for the user. What am I missing? Note: I’m creating this user to log in to AssytWeb. Regards,Nuwanthika
I would like a way to set fields to be hidden (in a similar way that Visibility Expressions can be used to show fields).

Hi All,We’re considering moving forward with implementing a CMDB and prior to presenting to our leadership for approval of a SOW etc was wondering if anyone would be willing to host a brief demo of their CMDB instance? We are a healthcare organization with both owned and managed facilities and are working out the discovery side of things given all of the tools and applications we are utilizing in our environment currently.Even if it was a brief video vs a full on demo I think anything would be helpful to show or have on hand for reference if at all possible.Let me know if this works and
Hello! Currently we handle requests to change our service catalog via a standardized form which is attached to service requests we use to proceed with changes on the service designer, event builder and configuration items. We’d like to know if it’s possible to automate this process. We’d like to create a form in assyst that would gather the followin information:Business Owner Business Unit Business Manager IT leader Responsible service departmentWe also ask both parties (on the IT and business side), which will be the service offerings and their agreed SLA resolution times. From that form, we’d like to automatically update the service offerings and update (create or deactivate event builder entries). Anyone achieved this ? Mostly, I’m unsure on how to create a form suited for this kind of task, given the unlimited number of possibilites for creating service offerings and indicating their respective resolution time, responsible SVD and so on. Ideas?
Is there a way to hard delete discontinued Event Builders? We are trying to do that from ETM but getting Privileges Error:You are not permitted to perform this action. Type: PrivilegeException.
On the IFS assyst Mobile app, once logged in to our site, the Home page shows the IFS assyst logo. Is there a way of changing that logo to be something different?
Hey All,We do a good job having our software as items in our CMDB. We also have our printers and computers in as assyst CMDB also. On the hardware printer items in CMDB were store the print queues for printers in config characteristics. The problem is you cannot search for the serial no in the characteristic. We are going to be moving our printer queues as separate items with relations to the hardware. That’s easy. We want to also relate the print queue to the software it is used by.Question. What do people do when relating it to the software? The two scenarios we came up with were:relating all print queues directly to the Software item. creating another item called “<Software Name> Print Service”, adding relation for this item to the software, and relating all print queues to the “<Software Name> Print Services” item.Technically the majority of these software are running a service for printing but its creating new items to track “services” or “sub programs” to the main soft
We have a Contact User Lookup field that uses Lookup Expression as below:select usr.id from usr as usr where usr.csg.shortCode ='xxxxxxxxxx' The expression returns only Active Users. We need all Active and Inactive Users.
Is there a way to pull Event Info into an auto generated email when you submit a ticket in assystNET and assystWEB?Currently, our “Thank you” email provides the ticket number etc. and then the Event Description (EVENT_DESC). The issue with that is that it shows ALL questions in the form even if they were hidden and/or not filled out. The data we want to show in the email are ONLY the questions that were answered (what shows in assystNET once submitted)We just want to hide any unanswered questions in the notification email. Currently, it shows like this:[[INCIDENT DESCRIPTION\DESCRIPTION DE L'INCIDENT]]No description entered. Hi all! I have a demand to manage Agile Projects (scrum) on Assyst. The project funcitonalities on Assyst are very basic, so I would like to know if someone has done anything related to it.The main points are to track the sprints, user sotries, team capacity and backlog. Idealy, using Kankan cards. Thanks,Odair
We are trying various methods to enable agents to handle tickets from their mobile devices and have not had a lot of success. I was wondering if anyone could share what they are using for this purpose. We are having the best luck using the desktop version of assystweb but it requires a lot of pinching and zooming
We have a non-service catalogue form that we are using to direct staff to the Service Catalogue when needed. However, staff are not able to resist temptation to click the Submit button and so raise an unnecessary call :-))I’m sure I remember being told how to disable the button and have a form purely as an informational one but, for the life of me, I can’t remember what is needed. Is there a way to do this, please? Thanks
I’ve created a user alias and need to restrict some of the service catalogues. I created a customized homepage in assystNET to show only the service offering they will need. (this is all because of privacy issues) I’d like to remove the view of the services within the menu but if I can’t remove just one option, the whole menu is fine. It should be based on the user alias I created. Is there a way to do that? If so, how?
Hi, is there an expression/logic within assyst customizer to have a field that lets you select specific dates within a set period and also be able to select dates/times after a specific time and date. For example, we want our users to only be able to select any date/time 12 days after the current day of filling out a form. Is this possible ? Please adviseassyst Version: assyst10 SP7.5Build: 12183 Date built: 04 August 2020 09:40:59Many thanks.
Using version 11.5. I need help ughI created a process with an automated decision that brings the user to a manual decision with a Y/N answer. For some reason, they can say no but cannot choose yes. When they choose yes, the error below is what they get. I went to the sub-process and the next stage is an automated email action which then goes to an auto-decision. I’ve provided the two processes to show you. First process with auto decisionSub-process they can’t make the Yes Decision - Government EmployeeSub-sub process that the yes is attached to Error received Troubleshooting done:I have checked the SVD to ensure they have the ability to use Decision Required, I have checked the user to ensure she is in the right SVD to make the decision, I checked the Action Type to ensure SVD can use it. Everything seems ok. Got another user from that SVD to try and same error. We assigned it to another user from a different SVD and he was able to choose yes. Also checked to see if they ca
I have logged an idea for this, but am wondering whether anyone may have a better idea of achieving this?We have a custom logging form that has a custom item lookup, and what I would like to be able to do is provide the user with a short summary of what that item is/does. It doesn’t look like the we are able to amend the column profile that appears in the item lookup so it includes a remarks field from the CMDB, so the only way currently to achieve this is to create a caption field and manually enter the text - but for 100’s of items, this is not feasible. Ideally, what I would like to happen is when an item is selected, the next custom is a caption that is configured dynamically pull through the information stored in the remarks field of that item in the CMDB - only needing 1 caption field instead of 100’s. This currently isn’t possible, and logged an idea for this 5 months ago, still with no solution. Is anyone able to advise if there is a better way to achieve this? Any help is appre
My company has agents with Assyst User credentials that also need to be able to log into the Contact User service portal to submit tickets to other departments if needed.Example: Building maintenance agents handle maintenance tickets but also need to be able to submit IT support tickets to the IT helpdesk in their own name.Is there a way to have a single login that works as both a Contact User and an Assyst User? I have tried Aliasing and setting equivalent users, as well as poring over privilege settings and can find nothing.
Is there any way to un-tag an item as a known problem? It looks like it is a system field.
To help with accessibility for a few users, we would like to be able to configure assyst so that it can be used in Dark Mode.I have been advised by IFS via Call Ref: 386357 that this is not possible and to submit a new Idea.
Kindly suggest a substitute keyword we can use to identify the appropriate response on the decision ticket.
Hi,We are currently experiencing issues with browser caching, where assystNet users don’t see the correct homepage, offerings, layouts, formats that they should be seeing - the only way to resolve is to clear the users browser cache. This has probably started following an upgrade to 11.5.2 a few weeks ago, but wanted to post this to see if anyone else has the same issue as we are experiencing and if so how you manage/resolve that so that ALL users have their browser cache cleared?
