Is it possible to remove or modify the pre-filled TODAY values in Date/Time for future actions?

This question stems from repeated user complaints that they find the use of future actions unintuitive, and save the action as Today most of the time.

Our users often operate on “auto‑pilot” when filling out actions, and for future actions this is an issue as these are rare events, reducing the chance to learn the workflow by hand. This auto‑pilot behavior is often a cause of issues for email or SLA automation that relies on future actions having a date in the future, and for event monitors which then do not display an upcoming meeting etc.

While not a foolproof solution we hope that by removing the default TODAY value in Date/Time, the user will be prompted to make a conscious decision about when the action is meant to take place. Leaving the date field blank should trigger the Time alone is not a valid date/time. error, preventing the action from being saved until a full date/time is entered.

Are there any available methods to achieve this, or a comparable outcome, in Assyst 24R2 or in a later release?
Optionally, is there a more refined or elegant approach to accomplish the same objective?

Thank you for your time and consideration.
