HelloI am new to IFS. In July 2019 an asset was added for $2,236,067 with a useful life of 39 years which calculated to $4,778 per month. In Dec 2020, the team changed the useful life to 3 years which calculated the go forward depreciation in December 2020 until now as 62,113 per month. The asset should actually be set to 15 years. We would like to change this for September 2021 which the depreciation will now be 12,423 per month. Is there a way to do this in IFS so the residual and correcting depreciation will take place versus us having to do a manual journal entry? Here is what I need to see happen: Adj needed - support attached$6,812 - $2,620= $4,192 under depreciation$12,423 - $4,778 * 16 months = $ 122,315 under dep$12,423 - $62,113 * 9 months = $ (447,210) excess depNet ($320,703) excess depreciationWhat is the best way to proceed as I need to guide the team. Hi,When a CO line is created by transferring WO to a CO in App 8, a customer is stating that the CO doesn’t have real transaction cost which is shown on work order (or on inventory transaction), but application is calculating cost using average value of inventory stock.In Transfer of WO lines to Customer Order window :Cost Amount : 12.26, 1885.38In Customer Order window: Cost: 0, 3428.77The Customer wants to have the cost of goods issued on the CO line.Does anybody know functional reason, why the cost of goods issued is not shown in the CO and instead the current inventory cost is shown in the CO?I went to the relevant Work Order> Materials tab and noticed that, 1 qty each have been issued and Issued Cost Amount is the same as the Cost Amount in the Transfer WO lines to Customer Order window.Issued Cost 12.26, 1885.38~~~~~When I went through the Cost column in the CO, the help says, " This is the unit cost for the part."So when I went to the inventory part> Cost tab > Invento
Hi, My customer manufactured a Serial Tracked Inventory Parts in their factory (with shop order.)And if checked with “Part Serial” screen , you can see the underling structure. Then, before shipping , they want to maintainace it with work order,so we created a “Serial Object” with “Make Maintenance Aware” screen.But when we check the “Equipment Object Navigator” just find that underling structure is NOT created automatially. is there anyway to make IFS create underling structure?(we are using APP10 UPD10)
the procurement officer created PO and entered no-part order lines and it was delivered to the company.in the manual supplier invoice, system refused to save the invoice because the code part was missed (FA info ).I updated the account properties to avoid this option but system unable to post the invoice.
In IFS V10, it is possible to connect Equipment Objects, Historical Work Orders, Projects and Active Work Orders to an NCR. Currently, it is possible to attach any Equipment Objects, Historical Work Orders, Projects and Active Work Orders to an NCR. However, in IFS V8, it is only possible to link Active Work Orders belonging to the same site as the NCR. Hi, We have a number of assets that fall below the threshold of recognizing as capital assets in our consolidated reporting entity, but are required to be tracked by the local entity’s reporting requirements. We have two depreciation books “General” creating AGL vouchers, and “Internal” Creating “AIL” vouchers. Ideally would like import / add value to a number of assets (without impacting the GL) to the subledger, so we can then depreciate without impacting the GL to satisfy both local and consolidated reporting requirements. Hi,I have setup the system definitions to set automatic authorization of Work Task Transactions. However, still I have to authorize it manually using RMB. Is there something that I’m missing here? How can I change the Owner of a Serial Object from one Customer to another Customer?It’s a Customer Owned Part, and will remain so.
Within the PM Action, the Last Work Task Completion Date is incorrect causing the rest of the Maintenance Plan to be scheduled incorrectly. The Work Task was initially closed down with the incorrect Actual Finish Date which is what has pulled into the Last Work Task Completion Date.Reopening the Work Order and Amending the Actual Finish Date is not working. How do i resolve this?

Hello,The company I work for has many mobile pieces of equipment (functional objects), each of which is a different site. We use PM Actions with condition based triggering (travel miles as example) to create work orders and part requisitions that the machine crew would release. Each piece of equipment is large, containing many other sub-functional and serial objects. In total, there are roughly 300 separate PM Actions for each machine.The issue I’m having is when a machine is shut down for many months (non-service related), the maintenance plan continues to look at “calculated” due dates and creates inventory part demand. I have the Condition Forecast Configuration set to Last Measurement at Maintenance, but for PM’s that would generally create monthly or weekly work orders, when the machine is shut down for many months, the Inventory Part Demand goes back in time and thinks all past due dates will need to be completed and is creating demand. Hi,For our solution, Prepare Work Order contains many Custom Fields. I want these Custom Fields to be visible via ‘Active Work Orders’. If I run a sql query on ‘Active_Seperate_CFV’ all the custom fields are returned but when I access via ‘Active Work Orders’ from the Navigator I do not have any of the Custom Fields available / visible. Is it possible to bring in the Custom Fields from ActiveSeperate into Active Work Order Overview? Custom Fields: Active Work Orders - None show under Custom Objects

Is there a way of identifying the ‘Due Date’ of a completed PM Action? Once a PM Action has the Work Order Generated and Closed, the Due Date is removed and the Planned Date updates to the Date the Work Order was prepared.I need a way of knowing what Planned Date was so I can report ‘Required Maintenance in a Period’ vs ‘Completed Maintenance in a Period’. Hi Community,we are starting soon with IFS app 10.We are supplying equipments to industry and those equipments are sometimes returned by customers to our premises, for repair. If my understanding is correct, I need to fill the check box “allow part ownership transfer” in the Client, so that I can link the Serial Object to another customer, if necessary. This would be the scenario were we have supplied equipment to customer A some years ago, but meanwhile customer A sold the equipment to customer B.Is this the right way to proceed ?Also, does this checked box have influence on other processes in IFS ?Thanks for your inputs.
At the time of go-live, we uploaded only opening balances of fixed assets. Now we have to upload fixed assets register to the system. Need support on this to clear opening balances and upload fixed asset register.

Hi All, Customer has Upgraded to UPD12 recently and they have faced to permission issue when assigning resources to the work task demands(screenshot is attached below). After our investigations found that user didn’t have permissions to MAINT_RESOURCES_LOV6. That is separately added from UPD12.
