We are running on Oracle 12.1 standard /App9 UPD 12. Can we apply UPD18 to APPS9 without upgrading oracle to 19c?
+18IFS Apps 9 is supported to run on 12.1.0.2, 12.2.0.1 & 19c. Please see attached certified platform document. An IFS UPD won’t affect existing version Oracle DB support.
Only issue I see is Oracle 12.1.0.2’s Oracle Support ended by July 2022. So Oracle won’t release any patches, bug/security fixes for this version.
Enterprise Edition 12.1 and Standard Edition 2 (SE2) 12.1 move to sustaining support after July 2022, meaning users can access any updates available before that date, but Oracle will not build new program updates, fixes, security alerts, critical patch updates, and so on but these users still pay Oracle support fees.
