Having worked with IFS Enterprise Explorer (EE) over the past 5 years, I am finding the transition to Aurena very challenging. Many of the features/functions I have come to rely upon in EE don’t seem to exist in Aurena. A question that comes up regularly is “what does restricted support mean”?  To start let’s remind ourselves that the maintenance agreement is applicable to the licensed IFS Application and not a specific version.  Customers with an active maintenance agreement have access to the latest version available and maintenance is delivered in full for that version (standard support phase).  Support is always delivered for the version a customer has in productive use however, if this version is under restricted support, there are limitations in the maintenance deliverables.  In order to explain the details a bit more we need to look at two of the many objectives of a software maintenance agreement.   Firstly ‘support’ is the reactive engagement to receive, accept and handle a case where a customer has encountered a problem.  This problem is investigated and analysed, assistance to service restoration is provided and path to resolution is determined.  In cases where the cause of this issue is an

Hello Can any IFS Customers, Partners or IFS Consultants in the Community elaborate on an upgrade you’ve made from IFS App9 to the Cloud?We are in App9 UPD14, we are debating to go through App10 or not. What do you think?We have quite a lot of customizations and configurations and maybe, only maybe, some of them will not be needed after the upgrade.  Thanks!

With Updates becoming main vehicle for delivery of fixes and new functionality for IFS Applications there is a greater need for our Customers and Partners to be able to validate impact of merged Update on configurations they have developed. This has been made possible from Update 6 for Application 9 and RTM release of Applications 10. However up to very recently it involved help from IFS Global Update Team who could include export of configurations developed by Customer and/or Partner during Update Analysis and provide list of impacted areas. From second half of 2019 we have even better solution for dealing with Update impact analysis on developed configuration. IFS Product Development made it possible with IFS Configuration Analyzer. Now Customers and Partners can perform impact analysis at any point in time – before, during or after delivery of Update delivery. Tool will present impacted configuration in a list that shows type of impact and allows to export that information to Excel.

Hi, I have signed the application and c an see that the manifest file updates. If I click the application directly in D:\IFS\IFSExt\IFST\repository\client\runtime File name: IFS.FND.EXPLORER it works fine. If I click the link on the splash page I receive the below error. The Deployment Provider url  looks like the link is incorrect but the Deployment url has the correct link. Hi Community, I have found below installation error below when deploying UPD12.!!!Error occurred while executing Plsql BlockBEGIN Object_Connection_SYS.Refresh_Active_List__(5);END;ORA-20105: Assert.IS_LOGICAL_UNIT: "CounselingPlan" is non existing logical unit. But I can't find a logical unit called "CounselingPlan".So do I need to follow any manual steps to fix this? Thanks,Kalana

Can I find information about upgrading an IFS database from 12c to 19c? From november 20 2020 we should have upgraded to 19c due end of support from Oracle on 12c.

For 22R2, release notes came out late - on the day of the release. I’m unaware of any other major ERP waiting until launch day to inform their base what’s coming. Instead, both summary and comprehensive (yet trackable) detail is shared 30-60 days in advance. For 23R1, what can we expect around release notes - and when? The release is coming out later this year, so we’re now in the sweet spot to help us manage change in my experience.What I hope to avoid beyond (waiting until May 25) is having to go module announcement by announcement to gather the highlights. And then seeing bullet 15.7 on the release summary (under Procurement) referencing supplier hierarchies as something to consider when updating. Then have to go to the 23R1 help docs to learn about 3.4.7.1 Manage Supplier Hierarchy… Happy to share more of my past experiences and expectations via this thread or directly. Thank you,Russell

Hi,  With the help of Sajith D in this topic I was able to config SSO login for our Cloud R2 setups: “https://community.ifs.com/upgrades-updates-81/azure-ad-sso-with-ifs-cloud-r2-17998”Problem is now that as soon as I configure the “Directory ID” on a user so that the user can login through SSO, they get below errors once they are logged in: They are logged in but unable to see any pages. They can log out however. Their profile settings show no data for them.I have done this on three different environments with same result. If I remove the Directory ID they can login as a database user without problems.Am I missing something essential here? IFS Cloud documentation seem to say I only need to define the directory ID after the SSO is setup in IFS IAM.Help would be appreciated!  /Jacob  

Are IFS Cloud and Apps 10 one in the same product?

Has anyone heavily customised IFS apps 9 to suit their business? we are looking to upgrade from Apps 9 to Apps 10 in the next year and am wondering if we will lose any functionality from our customisations. Has anyone had any major problems moving from apps 9 to 10? Am considering a customisation freeze  to make sure the process has as less need for regression testing. Perhaps am being over cautious? we have a number of improvement requests to streamline IFS for the business and don’t want to stifle potential time/effort saving initiatives.   Thanks

I downloaded and tried installing the provided fix however after entering the IFSAPP password and clicking Next I received the following Parameter error:sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path validation failed: java.security.CertPathValidatorException: Path does not chain with any of the trust anchors  

Is there a way to change the date format along with the laguage changes? For example, a French customer has requested that the English date format MM/DD to be changed to DD/MM when selecting the language to “French” as well.  The date format at the bottom of the graph is in English date format even though the client is running Windows client in French and the user have French language selected. For example, the first need to be “13/07-30/07” and not “07/13-07-30”.

HiFrom management server we are giving Kubectl command giving this below error shown in screenshot.We are using IFS Cloud 23R2. Please provide suggestions.  

We are receiving this error message from our environments.  We have done a Dictionary Cache Refresh but a deployment has not been done for 4 days. Error stack:Bad metadata error:The group: CustomerOrderDeliveryGroup does not exist in dictionary! We do our own deployments and develop in the Cust Layer just as FYI.  Did Refreshing the Dictionary Cache do something from our last deployment that caused this issue or how do these groups relate to the Dictionary Thanks

Hi  We currently run IFS V.9. Can anyone tell me the actual date that this goes end of life please / out of support. Also, is there a date for when V.10 also goes EOL please? Trying to decide whether to migrate to V.10 and how long we would be on it before needing to migrate to IFS cloud.Many thanks, David

Hi All, We are currently on IFS V8 and looking at Apps 10. We are evaluating the pros and cons of using Aurena Client vs IFS Enterprise Explorer (IEE). Can you please let me know whether Aurena has all the functionalities (including Solution Manager functionalities) that IEE has or , if we choose to use Aurena in Apps 10 , will we still have to use IEE for certain things ? I have this folder structure:ifsroot1fsroot2ifsroot3for different installations. I do not fancy that part from the help file:Place the config file to its default locationThe default path for the kubeconfig file is c:\user\<YourUser>\.kube\config. Copy the file ifsroot\config\kube\config to c:\user\<YourUser>\.kube folder since I need to do it every single time I decide to use ifsroot1, 2 or 3.This part seems cleaner in my view as you don’t risk to have unintended config file:Powershellps> $env:KUBECONFIG = "ifsroot\config\kube\config" Cmdcmd> set KUBECONFIG=ifsroot\config\kube\config But what about --kubeconfig directive?.
