What could be the underlying reasons for the significant increase in memory usage across all Jasper/Maintenix instances following the recent upgrade to Jasper 9 and Maintenix, and what steps can be taken to diagnose and resolve this issue effectively?

Hello All MTX users and designer.  How do you proceed when a Technician need to order a Part in MTX which is unknown from the data base?Do you use a Create Part and add Part Requirement (create a MPN in Build in a PART GROUP Batch or Ser only) ? Other solution ?What is the IFS advisory in that process? Thanks 

AF/KL is trying to better use ietm protocol,the IETM allow several definition and adapted to the context.Default ContextTask DefinitionContextTask Context However when using the protocol in the jobcard step the Task context is not applied, Is there a technical limitation in the Job Step?Is there a way to write the IETM to make it working?

Southwest Airlines would like to know how other carriers have met item 6 of MNT 1.8.1 y, specifically the deletion of records in Maintenix.  IOSA MNT 1.8.1The Operator shall have a system for the management and control of maintenance records to ensurethe content and retention of such records is in accordance with requirements of the Authority, asapplicable, and to ensure operational records are subjected to standardized processes for:(i) Identification;(ii) Legibility;(iii) Maintenance;(iv) Retrieval;(v) Protection, integrity and security;(vi) Disposal, deletion (electronic records) and archiving. Hi All, Looking for data model ideas that other operators are using for the Advanced Part Search Feature.When an AMT is assigning Part Requirements to a task, they are likely working from approved data (Non-routine Activity)The OEM data materials generally only specify specifications. How does an operator model their consumable Materials so that the AMT can add them to task by simple adding the specification number only. Qantas has been only a recent adopter of the advanced part search but found this to be a limitation as the search only looks at part name and part number. Our Data model in current sees the OEM Spec as the Part Group code.  

Does anyone assign licenses to Task definitions? I can see some functionality around filtering work and resource/capacity planning, is there any other useful functionality that comes with the application of licenses?

For monitoring and cleanup, We would like to create a list of users that haven’t logged into Maintenix for the last X period. Possibly a query all users of department Y last login before date X.We cannot find historic login for users. 

HelloWhen I buy used parts, some have the Time Since New written as ”UNK”.TSN : UNK　,　CSN : UNKHow do you register parts whose time information is unknown?

For audit purposes, is there a way to determine any Labour Row changes on ACTIVE JICs.  i.e. adding an additional Labour Row,  removal of a complete Labour Row, or removing of Certification/Inspection. Currently this detail is not shown on the Task History Tab. (8.3 SP5 u25.)Or is it possible using a Custom Jasper Report? If so which tables should be included.

In AF/KL organisation the MOC approval for deferral is not used.The JOB STOP is allowed for ALL The Select reference is is allowed for ALL.Then a Mechanic without CRS can defer any fault in the system, the MINOR / MAJOR DEFER permission are not working with the New DEFERRAL PROCESS. See the conflict in the table below,  What is your recomment ded permission setting to prevent a Mechanic to defer an fault? Thanks   Mechanic Technician OCC Comments

We, the ET MRO Planning section, are in need of a long-range Gantt chart generator to support our slot availability analysis. The tool should ideally include: Indicators or warnings when plans exceed available capacity Labels or alerts when overlapping work package plans exist We have reviewed the following options: Long Range Planner (from the Heavy Planner to-do list) Fleet Planner Planning Viewer (From Line Planner to-do list) We would like to request the IFS team’s recommendation or insights:Which of these tools-or any others-would best meet our needs for long-range planning, slot management, and overlap detection?

Southwest Airlines is currently does not track wheel and brake inventory within Maintenix.  We are exploring the possibility of adding the inventory.I am reaching out to other Maintenix users on if they manage their wheel and brake tracking within Maintenix?  And any pros and cons you may have on it.

Hi! I’ve been trying to find the “History” information, shown in the picture, in the backend tables of Maintenix and I haven’t been able to find it. I appreciate any help with this. Thanks!  

Very often when we’re investigating why this record or row was created, in some cases it help if you can go directly to that individual. Maintenix database keeps in most of it’s tables fields like CREATION_DT (Creation Date), REVISION_DT (Revision Date) and REVISION_USER, but it’s missing the CREATION_USER.In some areas if we’re lucky and Creation Date and Revision Date matches, then we know the user who created that row in the database, if not we’re kept in the dark.Is it hard for IFS to add this field to majority of it’s table where end user is able to create an entry, like Locations etc.

Our company direction is to move to Oracle 23C in 2024.  What are the plans for IFS Maintenix on-premises to move to Oracle 23C?

Southwest Airlines Problem Statement: During heavy checks and cabin visits, QC often has multiple identical faults to document with only slight changes to station locations or seat rows. We would like a way to create a template or duplicate faults without having to goes through all the steps of fault creation. Southwest is looking for feedback/guidance if this is currently available functionality in Maintenix.

It would appear that all the Hyperlinks from the tab produce 'The request is invalid and could not be processed.'V8.3 SP5.

South west is pursuing better processes of ensuring Panel requiring special instructions have job steps for the Mechanics to sign off.   We are seeking information if other users have developed a process for this .  As current functionality on OPEN/CLOSE panels does not allow job steps to be authored. 

Southwest Airlines will soon be assigning seats, so the need to track inop seats at the actual seat number will be critical.   Currently, we track seats for each row, not at the individual seat number.  When we have a fault or an MEL, the seat in question is notated in the fault description, but we have no means of being able to select the actual seat.  How do other operators, that assign seats, track inop seats in Maintenix?  Are your seats currently tracked to the individual seats?  

IFS Maintenix already have developed API for AeroBuy from AeroExchange few years ago (pre-Covid). Do you know if there is on IFS agenda to add API for AeroRepair ? I know there are Maintenix customer is already using AeroRepair module from AeroExchange and each one is using their internal method of trying to automate processes between Maintenix and AeroRepair.
