Hi all,

I’m currently researching the processes of guarantees and warranties at an airline, in the position as a trainee. The department I work for doesn’t have direct touch with the Maintenix application itself so I’ve come to here to ask my question.

Is there any API or other solution available to track guarantees/warranties on part numbers of consumables/rotables/expendables? I’m including all of them, since all of them are affected by contractual agreements and thus need to be monitored for adequate compliance with OAM/OEM.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Ino,

Yes, there are warranty features in Maintenix, and some of the functionality is available via API. You can track your warranties for purchases and repairs from vendors. The warranty will follow the inventory. The system will evaluate the warranty for components that were repaired, and using this information you can determine whether to make claims with your vendors.

You can explore all the web service APIs documentation here. There are no web service APIs for warranties.

Your employer’s solution is using a series of custom REST APIs. Some are modified from the core APIs, some are new altogether. You can access the openapi documentation by accessing a generic URL from the application.

I think the URL will appear like this: https://yourMaintenixServer/cssapi/openapi.json. In order to access the REST specifications, your Maintenix user will need to be authorized via the permission  API_VIEW_REQUEST. Please coordinate with your colleagues to gain access to this information.
