Hello everyone,Can anyone please explain what the relationship is between Total Scheduled Hours, Total Actual Hours and Total Baseline Scheduled Hours under Work Package Details page? Thanks,Hiwot
Hi! I’ve been trying to find the “History” information, shown in the picture, in the backend tables of Maintenix and I haven’t been able to find it. I appreciate any help with this. Thanks!
Very often when we’re investigating why this record or row was created, in some cases it help if you can go directly to that individual. Maintenix database keeps in most of it’s tables fields like CREATION_DT (Creation Date), REVISION_DT (Revision Date) and REVISION_USER, but it’s missing the CREATION_USER.In some areas if we’re lucky and Creation Date and Revision Date matches, then we know the user who created that row in the database, if not we’re kept in the dark.Is it hard for IFS to add this field to majority of it’s table where end user is able to create an entry, like Locations etc.
Our company direction is to move to Oracle 23C in 2024. What are the plans for IFS Maintenix on-premises to move to Oracle 23C?
Southwest Airlines Problem Statement: During heavy checks and cabin visits, QC often has multiple identical faults to document with only slight changes to station locations or seat rows. We would like a way to create a template or duplicate faults without having to goes through all the steps of fault creation. Southwest is looking for feedback/guidance if this is currently available functionality in Maintenix.
It would appear that all the Hyperlinks from the tab produce 'The request is invalid and could not be processed.'V8.3 SP5.
South west is pursuing better processes of ensuring Panel requiring special instructions have job steps for the Mechanics to sign off. We are seeking information if other users have developed a process for this . As current functionality on OPEN/CLOSE panels does not allow job steps to be authored.
Southwest Airlines will soon be assigning seats, so the need to track inop seats at the actual seat number will be critical. Currently, we track seats for each row, not at the individual seat number. When we have a fault or an MEL, the seat in question is notated in the fault description, but we have no means of being able to select the actual seat. How do other operators, that assign seats, track inop seats in Maintenix? Are your seats currently tracked to the individual seats?

Southwest Airlines would like to know how other operators manage Tasks that require accomplishment after a minimum usage but before a maximum usage. Plan after but Before a specified scheduling parameter. example: Task must be accomplished after 10 flight cycles (FC) and before 25 flight cycles after initialization. Task must be accomplished 4 times and then terminate: Accomplished between 50-100 FC Accomplished between 150-200 FC Accomplished between 250-300 FC Accomplished between 350-400 FC terminates Terminates after 4th accomplishment
With the upgrade to Maintenix 8.3 SP10, we need to upgrade JasperReports Server to version 9.0.0, this is fine, we’ve already installed it on our Dev box. We have a lot of custom reports and we have used Jasper Studio in the past to develop and publish reports. Unfortunately, it looks like Jasper Studio 9.0.0 now needs an internet connection to log into the Jaspersoft community before we can use it. Our Dev box (and all our servers) are not allowed to be on the internet due to ITAR constraints, we also aren’t allowed to install software on our local machines due to our company security policy. We have a lot of security restrictions that make this process difficult. We’re talking to our Infrastructure team to try and find a solution and are wondering if anyone else has run into this issue and how they have solved it.
Do other operators have a way they prevent the purchase and receipt of banned parts? Specific inventory at the P/N and S/N level.
As everyone knows, doing anything ADHOC in Maintenix creates multiple “behind the scenes” issues that cause massive data base clean up to have to take place. However, the question arises: how do you remove batched inventory from the system when it is not used on an actual aircraft? An example of this is when a bowser is serviced, oil and filters are used to maintain the bowser. These items would not be issued to an aircraft, as they are not used on an aircraft. This leaves the airline with two choices: a) do an ADHOC issue or b) adjust out the stock. As mentioned above, if an ADHOC issue is performed, this can often times create an ADHOC request that never closes. It is not obviously seen, so you typically find it when a station keeps receiving stock from the main supplier location for an item they already have plenty of stock on. If the Stock Adjustment is the preferred method, for ATI, we only have just a certain few individuals that have the ability to adjust out stock, as we
Is it possible to integrate MAINTENIX and SAP for Maintenance Crew management? The Crew Roster is managed by SAP and I was wandering if the data can be imported to Maintenix for Maintenance Crew Management.
Hi All,Qantas currently has an open issue with IFS for Job Card Steps with “special” characters causing HTML formatting on the Task Card report to fail. This can also cause job card steps to appear to have been edited when using show differences however it is not apparent to the task writer what has been changed. It looks like it is caused by some character encoding conversion when a task is revised. This is only an issue since we moved to 8.3SP5, possibly related to the data type change of the step_ldesc to CLOB. Generally this is caused when content is copied from an MS office application that has tried to be helpful and replace a " with a “. When the task is revised, this character is replaced with a space and an ascii DC3 character(0x19). Its these control characters that cause the Jasper reports to stop trying to apply the formatting correctly. We’re interested to learn if other operators, especially those with languages that use characters not in the latin-1 character set, hav
How do you transfer multiple inventories between locations in Maintenix? For example, when re-organizing items in the Warehouse.
Trying to figure out how work packages get auto generated in MXI 8.1.

We are trying to identify which assets are in a kit for a Jasper Report. We wish to exclude inventory that is in a kit from the Total Stock Holding. Thanks for any advise.

Southwest Airlines is curious how other operators manage tracking of locked-out/tagged-out (LOTO) within Maintenix. Specifically, do you have a method to track which circuit breakers have been locked out during a check, including who locked it out and for what task, or do you handle that externally?Sincerely,Shon Creese
