We are currently using the demand planner in IFS but are starting to reach its limitations. As a result, we're considering implementing a dedicated third-party forecasting and planning tool. Ideally, we need a solution that seamlessly (or near enough) integrates with IFS and supports planning across 18 months in weekly, monthly, and quarterly buckets. It should also include all the functions found in the current demand planner, such as promotions etc.Additionally, we are looking for optional advanced features, including:Seasonality adjustments and trend analysis. Capacity planning based on demand forecasts. Integration of supply chain constraints, such as lead times and inventory management. Scenario planning for changes in material costs or market demand fluctuations. Hi Team,We have set up a supplier with 2 EFT payment methodEFT 1(address id 1) using one bank accountEFT 2 (address id 2) using 2nd bank account.When we save the Eft method system is forcing to set up one as default payment method, and it is using the default payment bank details in the payment proposal.We want to know if there is a way, we don’t tick the EFT default option and have the option to choose the bank account we like to use.Thanks in advanceSneha

Hi Folks We are using APPS 10 and looking at the various Lot Size options within IFS, when planning MRP requirements does the system start with the Min Lot size them move to Max then multiple or does one of these options take priority over the rest? (does one supersede the other)Should the Max and Multiple be the same value?Trying to figure out of there is some logic flow to these values if all three are filled in. Min Lot Size: The value in this field indicates that the lot size for this part will be at least equal to the quantity specified. We are down a person in my group at the moment and the person who normally does this step to setup a new user in IFS is not available.This said, how do I set a user default buyer like I used to do in 10 IEE in cloud? This is all I need to set and I can’t find it anywhere in cloud.  

Planning Method?For MRP to Create Shop Order Requisitions that dont take into hand whats avb(onhand) in stock We Run a Finished Goods Item that have the product structure of  required X amount of another Semi Finished GoodsSome times Production get more from the shop order and we are not “allowed” to use that next daySo i want when Creating Finished Goods then running MRP i only want Shop Order Requisitions for the semi finished goods that is exact like QTY required from the Finished Goods  and not Required - Onhand = Shop Order Requisition

Hi All, We have two customer groups (e.g., Group A and Group B), each with one or more customers assigned to them.When creating an order for Group A using a sales part, is it possible to apply a price break to the group of customers?For example, the price group could be as follows:Min Qty: 1000, Price: $20Min Qty: 2000, Price: $15Min Qty: 3000, Price: $14In this case, I may have 2 orders for Group A (the orders would be for 2 customers), and the total ordered quantity is 2500 units. Does IFS have an option to apply the price break based on the cumulative quantity ordered across these orders?  ThanksDivya 

Hello,I am looking to understand the logic of automatic reservations for customer orders. I would assume that the lines that are due the earliest would be reserved first, and that would flow until there is no more available inventory. However, that is not what I am observing.I came across the following posts on this topic:Customer Order Lines auto-reservations, what is the field used to determine what is reserved first | IFS CommunityThis mentions there is not a way to do auto-reservations by Planned Ship Date which is ultimately what I am wanting.

We have a problem in IFS APPS 10. When a customer order is created on IFS and the order type is “XPR”, IFS will issue the part from the last location used and not its default locationI think this is because the option below is set to “All locations” and not “Only specified location”.If I change it to “Only specified location” does that mean it will only use the default location?Or do I have to set something else?Thanks   

How does Handle Customer Order Shortages work in IFS cloud. i assumed that if i placed an order on the system and there were no corresponding shop order raised prior to the required date this would show up as a customer shortage prompting me to communicate with the other business units to find out why there is no build demand  

We are recently moved to Cloud from Apps9 and have an issue where if we make a change to a Supplier Part or Description on a Supplier for Purchase Part record, these changes are not reflected in the PO lines of any open POs we have for said part. New PO lines added after the change, pick up the correct/updated part/description Does anyone know if this is ‘to be expected’, a bug, a workflow/process we’re missing, a new action required in Cloud vs Apps9? Any information gratefully received. Thanks!Linda

Hi!The online documentation states that depending on the mode of transportation, a different form of the dangerous goods declaration will be printed. E.g. if you send by boat/sea, a dangerous goods declaration for Sea Transport will be printed.I’m not able to get this to trigger at all. No matter if I use a Ship Via for Road Transport or Sea Transport and fill in only Dangerous Goods Data for Road, only for Sea, or both, I still only ever get the Road/ADR version and data on the printout from the Shipment. And that is only when I have ADR Class filled in. I’ve also tried for domestic and export customers.Does anyone know how this is supposed to work? Is it a very specific combination of basic data that is needed to trigger this form of the report? Hi, Here a case regarding "weighted average" for parts in inter-site flow.We have weighted average + cost per part Inventory Part in inter-site flow.Source Site unit cost = 12.Destination Site unit cost = 10.When we ship units from source site to destination site, SHIPTRAN + INTORDTR transactions are created and immediately weighted average in destination site goes 11. Even though, the goods will be in transport for about 7 days. During those 7 days this part stored in destination site is sold/issued with the cost 11, what affects margin rates etc. So the moment of recalculation of weighted average (moment of shipment instead moment of arrival) is quite questionable.Is this intentional behavior? Or maybe some parameter exists? Regards, Lukasz

We have instances where we need to change the inventory part number on a sales part after it has been saved and transactions are done. We cannot issue new sales part numbers every time we have new inventory parts because we have “printed” literature that shows our sales parts. So, we need the same sales part ID to remain, but connected to a different inventory part.In IFS applications 7, it was possible to change the Inventory part that was connected to a sales part in the “Sales Part” windowIn later versions, this possibility has been restricted, and the system was designed to maintain a one-to-many relationship between inventory parts and sales parts.Can you please specify the reason why this functionality was disabled after apps7? Can you suggest a workaround we can use in the above situation, instead of creating a new sales part?

Hi,We have a scenerio where Site A registers the customer order for an External Customer (Customer XYZ) and the order is supposed to delivered by Site B. The customer order lines are added with the supply code Int Purchase Dir where supplier and Supply Site is Site B and released. It created a PO for the supply Site. Now, in the Register Direct Delivery window RMB has 3 options 1) Direct Deliver to Customer 2)Direct Delivery with Serial 3) Direct Delivery from Internal Order Transit.Options 1 and 2 are disable in RMB menu, I can only choose option 3 which is “Direct Delivery from Internal Order Transit”. When I click on this option, Its giving a warning message “You cannot register direct delivery until internal supplier delivers materials.When we check register arrivals using the PO number, it does not have such record. How to complete the customer order delivery process? 

Is it possible to receive multiple serial numbers of a part within wadaco. Our supplier can provide an QR code containing multiple serialnumbers. Is it possible to handle such a QR code within the wadaco receive proces?

Apps10 UPD 16Customer is currently using Int Purch Trans and the Available Qty is showing the total inventory in the order taking site and the internal supply site.Is the Available Qty field on a Customer Order Line supposed to show: 1) only the inventory on the order taking Site, 2) only the inventory on the supplying Site, or 3) the inventory on all Sites? Does this value vary based on the Supply Code used?
