Hi AllWe are on IFS Apps 10 and have recently tried to add a new logical printer to IFS. This is our first time adding a new printer. Our Application and Print Servers are separate to spread the load with the print server hosting all print and reporting services.On our Print Server we have completed:Installed the Printer Drivers and created a Print QueueUpdated the config file (ifs-printagent-config.xml)Restarted the Print Service (IFSPAService_IFSL)Within the Application we have:Created the new logical printer with the same name/ case as the print queue on the print server and what is in the config file (e.g. TESTPRINTER1)Attempted to print a report.On the Print Jobs screen in IFS we get the following error:“The Print Job can not be printed. The selected printer is not mapped to any Print Agent.”When I check the Print Service logs on the Print Server it is full of errors similar to:“[059] 15/10/2020 12:26:59: Registering...[059] 15/10/2020 12:26:59: Failed to register![059] 15/10/2020

Hello, I’ve noticed an issue that I believe is the result of a misconfiguration on our tenant. Currently, our maintenance group is able to log into Work Orders for repairs. They can clock out and close the WO as well, all while being off the “payroll” timeclock. I assumed the behavior for S&M was the same as the shop floor clocking. In the event an associate tries to clockin to a Shop Order, the system would prompt them and state that they are not clocked into timeclock. They are then automatically clocked in. Likewise, they cannot clock out of timeclock if they are still clocked into a Shop Order. This behavior doesn’t appear to be available for the service and maintenance group. Is this correct, or can the same functionality be extended to that group? My concern is that there will be a lot of errant clocking if S&M users are able to independently log time to WOs and clock on and off timeclock without any cross checking. Thank you!

How would you suggest going about setting up a service contract line to have a minimum service charge?  For example, for a particular work type, the customer will be billed a minimum 4 hr labor charge and anything over that would be at a set hourly rate.

Hello,Working with events, I’m trying to get the value of a date type attribute and the result is a number, instead of a date.I’ve tried for different date type attributes and with different logical units and tables, and the result is always the same.For example:Logical Unit: ExpenseHeaderTable: Expense_Header_tabAttribute: CONFIRM_DATEWhen the event is executed, I get “1994” as a result, but it should be “16/10/2020”. Does anyone know how to resolve?.Thanks in advance,Amaia

We are looking for a basic menu and I need to know if we can use the work order management for internal requests. Let me explain.We have in-house a mechanical department which supports the creation/manufacturing of tools flow but also the modification and the repair of them. Those tools are then used for the manufacturing of our inventory parts.Any employee can do such a request of work and we need to manage all these requests on which we need to have dates (created, requested, finished), assigned to, time and operations. So, there is no customer, as customer but this is an internal customer.Is the Service and Maintenance menu appropriate for this kind of request ? or is there anything else which meet the need in IFS ? 

We are exploring the use of the service quotation functionality. One of the fields we wish to populate is the ‘Co-ordinator’. I understand we could use templates to set this to a specific value for each base profile. Is there a way we c an use templates, so that when the user creating a service quote creates a new record, the co-ordinator field is populate d with themselves as the co-ordinator.

Hi all community,I’ve a client that wants to have the completed and canceled jobs in the mobile for the current day. For my understanding the normal behaviour is to remove these ones immediately from the mobile and we have a configuration to set what is the status that we don’t want to see in the mobile device.Is there a standard way to do this? My idea was to filter this in the sync rule, but I know that there is a limitation on the xml query to use date/time fields.Thanks, Regards/Fernando 

We use a Document Management Marco in IFS, to enable DocumentProperties/QuickParts in Microsoft Word and Excel documents. This macro allows data held in IFS (e.g Document Number, Revision Number, Title, etc) to be automatically inserted into the Word or Excel document. We have added a custom field in IFS, and I need to automatically insert the data from that custom field into the Word Document.On the “Macro Basic” screen, “Object Attributes for Macro” tab we have to list all the IFS fields applicable to a given Object, which shall be made available to the macro code, but it seems to be limited to out-of-the-box fields only. Is there any way to add a custom field?Note: I am aware that in IFS Apps 10, this functionality has been expanded to allow custom fields to be used, but we really need to be able to do this in Apps 9.

I’m trying to change some fields in the mWO Service touch app (IFS10 upd9). However when using: {TaskRef.CustomerName}The outcome is CustomerNumber-CustomerName. I’m not entitled to do a substr or something like that.I’m trying to do this on MyAssignmentCard.I’ve notice that everywhere customer name now shows up as number and name. I don’t know who thought of this, but I don’t like it.Anyway, is there someone who knows which field to take or how to derive only the name?Kind regards,Steve

Hi, I am trying to perform the printing of a report automatically after some event. Can anyone explain how this works?I found the mpm ‘perform_get_report_pdf’ and passed that name to a newly created Value Custom Process by defining this MPM as the ‘Perform Name To Call’ in the process parameters. When I define my business rule I will find myself the parameters of this MPM.However from here I am not sure how to proceed and how I could pass the right value to the parameter ‘report_parameters’? Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone How can I add new person to” Executed By” section in Separate PM Action tabs

I try to use the IFS Aurena Native App “IFS MWO Service 10” on my iPhone (iOS 13.7). It works. But when I touch to “My Work” I get the following Error: “Cannot continue as create/update actions are not supportetd by the entity ServiceOrderVirtual”. When I check it in Aurena, I see “My Work”. How I can add this Entity to the Synchronization Rules in Aurena?Solution Manager > Touch Apps > Configuration > Synchronization RulesOr I need some special permission set to do this? 

Afternoon,We are looking at options around flexible working for our engineers, and need to understand the art of the possible.  Currently PSO/360 takes into account holidays and doesn’t allocate work orders in this scenario but we are wondering whether TOIL could work in the same way? Idea being that employees could accrue TOIL and then with management approval use that to work a shorter day or have a day off.We are currently on IFS Apps 8 and version 5.8.2.22 of 360/PSO.Any experience others have or suggestions would be appreciated RegardsShaun

Are there any users/customers who has recently upgraded to PSO 6 update 5 from PSO 6.1?Basically who has upgraded from the Silverlight version and started using the HTML version ( on Chrome and other browsers ).If someone can share their experience, lessons learnt/ challenges faced, it would be great for us to travel that path and get rid of some of the obstacles someone else has already faced.

How can I link a single document to many parts? 

I am using standard IFS front end setup to email out payment advice to suppliers, and i have noticed when that happens it registers in the report archive under ‘hidden reports’I would like to see the same thing for invoices we are sending outI know e-mails are being sent, i can see them in the application messages but information there is limited.Is there anythign i can switch on to record the e-mailing of invoices in the report archive?ThanksBruce

Hi,I want create task automatically based on product selection Bill of material.Suppose if i selected product in request and if that product model or task has BOM,task needs to be created for each model/ part in BOM.I am able create task for product when it is selected in request through XML business rule, is their any way i can create tasks for BOM also,Please suggest.  ThanksRamya

Hi, we have a Work Task Template with Revision Control enabled on it.On the Active revision, IFS correctly restricts the ability to add new lines into Work Task Steps etc., however it allows Work Task Steps to be deleted on the current Active revision.Shouldn’t revision control prevent Work Task Steps from being deleted from an active revision Work Task Template, or is this normal and why?Running Apps 10 Update 6.

Hi, We are about to implement Call Center for our internal and external support teams. What I’d like to know is how other users are handling periodical invoicing of base services (fixed monthly fee). Basically we would like to make it simple and possibly automate the invoicing as much as possible.One possibility is to use Service Contract, and its periodical invoicing feature. However is do not have connection to actual Support Agreement, and is quite complicated for simple contracts, where there is only one or two service lines.At the moment we are using Customer Order where coordinator is creating one order for contract period (or year) with lines for each month and invoice lines one by one..I’m quite sure that other companies has had similar questions and would like to know how others have solved this?
