Hi All, I am getting an error when trying to transfer a work task to MWO. the user and person are all connected and I can log on to the mobile app. however I keep getting this error. any help would be appreciated   

Hello Everyone! First off thanks in advance for your input!  I have a scenario where it is convenient for a technician to use multiple devices.  For example taking pictures with a phone and then completing a work task on a laptop with larger screen real estate.  Has anyone come across this use case?  I recommend one device per field tech but sometimes it is more convenient to use more than one. Thanks! Matt

Hi,I'm trying to find out what causes long mWO initilazation time.I've found a thread on community regarding slow initializationhttps://community.ifs.com/service-touch-apps-mwo-mro-43/long-delay-in-mwo-app-10-initialization-process-13158Now, our customer reports slow initialization and also synchronization. Initialization takes up to 1.5 hour (measured in local network), synchronization also takes a lot of time and usually is unsuccesfull (done on mobile data far from work).I did a test yesterday evening using vpn connection and in my case initialization took 20 minutes. Looking in synchronized objects tab on mobile user, the most time consuming entity was InventoryPartInStock and InventoryPartBut summing time for entites it should take approx 3-4 minutes to finish.On my iPad after downloading entities there was a longer approx 10 minutes or more period with a Waiting for Server message  After that there was another information about Processing messages for a minute or two. And finally

When Allocating a resource on a work task or looking in Resource monitoring Gantt we wish to see where the resource is on other planned/active jobs that same day in terms of the geographical locations i.e. the Location address of the object or Customer address.Preferably the object location address would be visable on the “pop-up” when you hover over already planned or active work in the Allocate Resource schedule but no such luck. Or can we modify the information in below pop-up?Resource Allocation on Work task Or if we can see it in the resource monitoring gantt, for example if a customer calls, it would be good to see where the resource already is located.Any tips on how to easily see addresses in the schedule? I know that you can RMB twice from Recource monitoring gantt and see the customer address, but that beats the purpose of an easy overview of where the resources are at the moment. FSM is not an option for us at the moment and we use IFSAPP10.17. 

Trying to connect to our IFS Cloud Test site with MWO Service on an Android Tablet and receiving the error “An Error has occurred”. “Something went wrong while tryingt o communicate with the server. Please check the connection and Server URL.”  The version downloaded of IFS MWO Service is 23.7.917.0. The error comes up almost immediately. The connection works on the iOS Apps and Windows app but none of the Android tablets or phones.  This is both inside and outside of our network/firewall.  The other non-Android devices works inside and outside of the network/firewall. We are unsure what to check/troubleshoot to find the issue. Thanks

I would like to have the customer data to be updated as often as possible in the MWO app so it is available to me when creating new work on the app. The reason is that in my scenario field technicians will also have the ability to create new customer records (either in Aurena or in the CRM Companion app) and then create new work for them.How can I make it so the customer information is pushed to MWO as often as possible?@kathlk do you maybe have an idea on this?

For one my customers we have been asked to do a modification for activating work task time reporting on future dates, what can be the consequence of this?Meanwhile what is the reason that we allow project time reporting for future dates but it is not possible on the work task?

Dear all, We are currently using the IFS MWO SERVICE 10 App version 10.13.1360.0 and need to update to the latest version (10.20.1419.0), through App Store. (iOS Devices). Would you kindly advise if this is performed, the devices need to be initialized and as a precautionary measure do we need to advice all the devices to keep on idle mode or disconnected? Many thanks for your kind thoughts and advice.  

when our devices are doing an Initialization, it gets to Processing Message 3/XXX and it always gets stuck for over 5mins. how do I work out what this message is so I can see if I can reduce the data being sent?

In Cloud 22R1/ MWO/Work Details, when we select Object then Object ID is not visible, in other Instance its showing all the Object ID’s, same configurations did in other Instance but not showing the Object ID, any configuration i missed ?  

Hi All,Can you please help me to resolve these questions regarding creating new service requests from mobile (IFS Cloud mwo - ServiceEngApp).What’s the difference between creating new through work assignment and through new service request?  In mobile, when creating the new service request, there is a mandatory lov fields named ‘Service’ and ‘Service Organization’. In Aurena from where I can setup this data. After creating the Service request from mobile, will it be transferred to back-office? Hi,Creating this idea on behalf of a customerIFS Cloud 22R2 - Service / EAM solutionWhen Object Measurements are registered from a Work Task or a Work Task Step, either on MWO App or directly on IFS Cloud, the Work Task reference is not recorded against these Object Measurements.This prevents from being able to easily integrate Object Measurements into the work reporting for the Task.Unless creating a CRIM for it.This would be a great enhancement to have this link as part of the standard core solution 

Is there a limit to the number of pictures / videos you can upload on any one task on MWO or is the limit based on the device capacity?

How to use the lobby view in IFS Application to retrieve information about mobile work order usage in Apps9?

We have just updated from Apps 10 Update 9 to Update 15, and now get the following error when searching in the Resource Monitoring Gantt.You can search okay the first time, however if you then perform a subsequent search and change the search criteria, this error appears. Hi, In IFS ServiceEng  App, it is possible to see historical work related to an object through Service Book functionality. Even though  this is an online capability it is possible to still see this information via cached data.  Can you please explain, for how long this data will stay in the mobile app. As I experienced, session expiration will not remove this data from the app. Is there a general guideline on upto how long time this information will be available in the app.  Customer expecting to work offline upto 7 days in some scenarios. Will the cache memory support this duration to see historical work? Thank you very much!

Can we get MWO service app usage reports? Are there any that are available out of the box. For one of our customers the issue is that the technicians are not even logging in. So is there a report I can pull out to view basic usage like who all are logging in, when etc.?

Hi, I am unable to see the absence, project & training information in the my work calender. Below application parameter are set and resource has the work & project allocation for a week and I can only see work allocation & breaks in the mobile client.‘’My Work Calendar is by default turned on, the Application Parameter CALENDAR_VIEW set to FALSE will disable it in the menu.The following two Application Parameters for fetching Absence, Training and Projects has been added.CALENDAR_FUTURE_LIMIT, Defines the number of days to sync events in the future CALENDAR_HISTORY_LIMIT, Defines the number of days to sync historical events ‘’ Regards,Mithun K V

I have set up my user as scheduling resources with access to mobile.  When I login to mobile with my user id/password, I get the following screen without the tiles. I tried to follow the troubleshooting guides in the tailoring guide and video training on Mobile access, and this issue is not mentioned anywhere.   Does anyone have a clue to help me out.

I am trying to return a part using the mobile as part of a part swap scenario.  When I select the part from the Returns screen on the mobile I don’t see any parts.  I have the part in an assortment and I can see the inventory part when I look at the database viewer.  If I perform a quick return I can see the part and complete the process, however, I would like to use the return process.Any suggestions? Environment is IFS Cloud 23R1, ServiceEngApp
