Hello, I am doing a few quick reports and what would help me is a full list of the available out the box functions within IFS.  At present i am using joins, but have noted that there are far easier ways of achieving the same results via functions. I have seen and made use of the following in some of my Quick reports. ifsapp.Comm_Method_API.Get_Default_Value('PERSON',t.person_id,'PHONE') Personal_Contact_Phone,ifsapp.Comm_Method_API.Get_Default_Value('PERSON',t.person_id,'MOBILE') Mobile_Number,ifsapp.Comm_Method_API.Get_Default_Value('PERSON',t.person_id,'E_MAIL') Personal_Email, Is there somewhere that I can find a comprehensive list of the available functions? Thanks,Noel

Hi AllI have a situation where a POCO revision 0 was created automatically when trying to cancel [through a DR script] the original PO. So far I couldn't recreate it.  What I wanted to check through the forum is that, have you encountered this before? With regards to the automatic POCO setup, 1. Site - Enforce POCO is not on2. Supplier - Use the site settingHence in my opinion, a POCO revision shouldn't be automatically created. What do you think? We are running IFS 24.1.9 Thanks,Asela

Hello, In connection with IFS Cloud, except Oracle SQL, what other programming languages are you using with this ERP system?I read on documentation that some parts of BPA consists of source code written in Javascript and Java. IN BPA, it is classic javascript or the syntax is more like, for example angular, react or vue?How good should I know those languages if I want to be better in writting, for example these BPA?Thanks

I am working with BPA for validation purposes. To show a message I am using the IFS Failure Event (Validation Failure End Event) which is documented here: IFS Failure Event (Validation Failure End Event)My goal is to display a message from a variable. In my BPA I have a script task that sets a message variable like so:   I connected it directly to the IFS Failure and set the message to be ${errorMessage}:  When this BPA runs the message never substitutes the variable:   Any ideas?

I want to create a report rule expression to use the customer ref field for an invoice, and to use the name regardless of if the user has entered this in upper or lower case.I have created the expression = UPPER([@CUSTOMER_ORDER_IVC_REP/CUST_REF]) Testing if this works how I expect it to it does not work how I would expect.  It works in PL SQL, so I now suspect it is not available in the report rule expressions.  I have seen the report rule is not being used in the report rule log. Does the upper function work on report rule expressions?  ThanksDarren

There is a need from the customer for IFS' B2B portal. However, there are the requirements for the following:- How can suppliers confirm an order with differences? Currently i set up the B2B portal but there is only an option to confirm without any differences (happy flow):- Are these differences automatically reflected in the purchase order or can an approval process be set up for the buyer?

Hi There All IFS Cloud will it be possible to automate the subcontract approvals? Similar to orders and PRsDoes anyone know of such ThanksMona

It is mentioned in the IFS product documentation that it’s possible to confirm a purchase order with changes by the supplier via the B2B portal.  However, I do not see the option to do so in the B2B portal. It only has the “Confirm” option and this will confirm without any changes. Version: IFS Cloud 24.2.0 Am I missing something here or is this actually a bug?

Hello,Is it possible to set up automatic reservations for only select customers in IFS Cloud? When going to the page Create Customer Order Reservations - I don’t see that there is an option to do that there but didn’t know if anyone knew of an alternative way to do that without it getting too complicated. Thanks,Eli

Hi,Can anyone give an opinion on this?  Everything seems to be going on well without errors and an object id is even returned (console), but no eventual record created in the database (even after logging off) ...  Thank you.PS: API Integration Issue - Absence Record Creation Not Reflected in Databaseseems to be a related topic but discussions appear to be internal.

We’ve created a list of exceptions for our company calendar:National exception scheduleWhich we’ve linked to our Company Calendar:But when we view our actual working times in the Company Calendar (for example May 26th 2025) the day shows as a regular work day with the standard working hours still showing:Exception has not been recognized within the CalendarIt would appear that we’ve missed something somewhere, does anyone have any suggestions regarding what may have been overlooked

Let’s say we are on 25 may 2025, and the month of apris is already closed, users are still able to enter time on account dates during april and they are not blocked until it goes to accounting. Is there a way we can block at the time registration ?

Good morning.  If an Employee number changes due to change in Employment Type (e.g converted from Contractor to Perm), how do you handle this in IFS since you can’t modify the Employee Number?Thank you.Anya

We are trying to restrict a certain document class that only users in a specific person group can upload using it. Others are set up to have view access to the document class but we only want 1 person group to be able to upload a document to this specific document class.

I haven’t seen this discussed anywhere yet and there isn’t much help out there in using IFS as a CMMS in a manufacturing environment. I started out creating an equipment hierarchy that looks as such:Plant → Department → EquipmentFairly simple design. The problem comes when I get to the Equipment level. I want to use a Serial Object for my equipment (I believe) so I can write work orders to them, but it is my understanding that I would need to create a part number for the equipment before I can create a serial object for it. We have presses, washers, lathes, conveyors, etc. that we are creating in IFS to tie work orders to. Has anybody else done what I am trying to do? How should I set this up?
