Good morning.  If an Employee number changes due to change in Employment Type (e.g converted from Contractor to Perm), how do you handle this in IFS since you can’t modify the Employee Number?

Thank you.

Anya

@AnGo : Terminate Employment is optional but all dates like employment period, Position dates, job dates must be ended for old employee. For identification purpose, create new employee status (e.g. ‘Contract Changed’) and set this status for old employee.

Thanks

@AnGo : Yes, you are right that employee number cannot be modified. You can create employee with new employee ID and new employment type by keeping the same person ID. Old Employee ID must be Inactive.

For new employee Number, keep the ‘Master Employment’ as ‘Yes’

Hope this should works.

Best Regards

Hello Vikas, thank you very much, appreciate your feedback.  Just to confirm ito making “old” Empl ID inactive - do you Terminate the Employment of the “old” Employee?

Thank you.
