Has anyone been able to view time reported to a work order that is connected to a project in Project Transactions? We’ve connected the work order to the project and authorized the time on the project and the time shows in project connections and “committed hours”

Hi all experts,We have Project with Project type No Capitalization. All activities are Closed. In the Financials we completed the sub projects.We also completed manually the project so the Project status changed to Completed. This should have been changed automatically, when the sub projects were completed. Why didn’t the status change automatically? Is it because of the Project Type No Capitalization?And there is still no tick in the box of Financially completed in the Project Management / Sub Projects window. Which procedure changes the Sub Projects to Financially Completed?

I have a Customer that receives the following message on certain Project Connections that have Actual Cost details. “The method “ in Project Connection Util returns more than one row”. I have compared setup with another project that does work and could not find a difference.  

Dear Community Support,We have Project Managers in APAC where consists of 3 different countries/ Companies, (HAPL, HAP & HSEA) are unable to approve the hours logged against work orders in other entities.For example, one PM in HAPL, is unable to approve WO hours in HAP and HSEA. Since we are having an APAC level project management in place, the project managers in the entities HAPL, HAP and HSEA should be able to approve the work order hours for all three entities (HAPL, HAP and HSEA) in APAC.In fact, they should have whatever authority they require to execute projects in the three entities. I use MSP to export my Project  to IFS.I fill the %Complete and others data in MSP and then export my project to IFS.Where can I see the effect of %Complete data in Project Navigator?Is there any possibility to submit %completion in IFS?

We have one project where some project transactions will be invoiced against one customer and some against a different customer. This will happen monthly. Is there a way to set the customer to be invoiced on a subproject or activity level different than the customer of the project?

I believe this is a rather simple question.We create a project with a project type Capitalze Rev/Exp. Revenue recognition method = POC Income first. We enter a cost for 45k so we have an actual cost in the project.We ran the capitalization and revenue recognition for the project. THe problem is that ther revenu is the same as the cost. I was expecting to enter a margin somewhere. The help say “POC income first”. I don’t see where do i enter my POC and even if I say that POC is 50%, what will the system will calculate in term of profit?Thanks

  Hi everyone,I have encountered an error while working with the measurement for the object page, and I'm unsure about the meaning and generation of the "Activity Sequence number." Additionally, I have identified 19 records that are missing in the RESOURCE_ACTIVITY_tab. I'm curious to know the relationship between the Measurement for Object page and the Resource Activity table. Can someone share a document on how the project module and sales contract work. Basically we are trying to use it for deferred revenue. We have a requirement to comply with IFRS 15. Is there any document on how Project module is linked with Sales contract.

Hi,We have a requirement in project time registration where hours should not exceed the scheduled hours of the employee.For instance, if hours in employee files>» employment>Assignments > scheduled hours is 8 then system should not allow that employee to book more than 8 hours Is there any options in IFS to control or we can archive it via configuration/modification.

This is in relation to Apps 10.From within the same Project, I copied an activity to create a new activity.  In the Estimate tab, the estimated hours copied over to this new activity.  I deleted this line in the Estimate tab because it wasn’t needed.  However, the estimated hours are still remaining in the Hours tab (below).  I cannot modify this line.  Is there a way, other than going in the backend to remove this?  It seems to be stuck in a loop.  Is this a bug?  Any advice or suggestions would be helpful.  Thanks! 

IDEA: In both Apps10 EE and Apps10 Aurena you can only connect a resource individual to one parent resource at a time. Is it possible to develop a way to connect to multiple parent resources to remove the need to repeat the connection process?In Apps10 EE you can only enter one resource into the Resource ID box.This works the same in AurenaAdding them in the resource navigator screen also only allows for the employee to be connected to each parent individually.Thanks

I am trying to bring back the maximum valuation number from subval_valuation_cfv for that subcontract and if a valuation doesn't exist for that subcontract, then bring back row but show valuation no as null. I only want to see one row for ever subcontract number even if a valuation doesn’t exist. We are using Project Deliverables for a customer and in the created structure in Project Deliverables in a first stage, we want to add a purchase plan for components with a long lead time to have them ordered in an earlu stage of the project. In a second phase the complete BOM is been created and pieces are copied from PDM to have it built. In that complete structure with a “top part” that has a shop order plan and an underlying structure with supply option “PMRP” we have those long lead time components again because they are also part of the structure. Although we would like to choose the supply option in such a way that IFS would recognize that they were already ordered with the purchase plan and no new demand from project deliverables is been created.Does anyone has an idea whether this is possible and how to manage this?Your help will be highly appreciated.Thanks,Kurt

Hi,We have a requirement to create one Project Deliverable for 2 quantities, But in Project deliverable screen I cannot edit the required quantity, it is default shows 1 quantity.  So i want to know how to create a project deliverable for 2 quantities.

Have you seen a scenario where when you copy a activity with project estimate the newly created activity ended up with estimate value from the original activity  which cannot be deleted from the application. Test PlanCopy a project activity where you have some transactions. make sure to define a estimate for a cost element. The newly created activity will have a value in the cost with the estimate value.   But the estimate tab is empty ​​​​​Have to delete from backend to solve the issue. in App10 UPD9

We have each engineer set up as a resource in IFS and then connect them to multiple parent resources. These parent resources relate to individual jobs meaning that the PSO will send them these type of jobs only. E.g. a Gas engineer will only be allocated Gas related jobs and no others.When connecting an engineer to a parent resource in both Apps10 and Aurena, we can only connect them one at a time. You have to repeat the following process for each connection in Apps10 And this process for each connection in AurenaIs there a way to connect a resource individual to more than one parent resource group avoiding repeating the above process? Or is there an option to setup a template whereby we can link an employee to multiple parent resources in one go? Thanks

Hello,Please help a beginner with question about cost elements used in Accounting and Project module in IFS.For example, we are issuing Purchase requisition and later Purchase order for Inventory Part and we are connecting that Inventory Part in PR/PO to Activity in Project module.Is it possible to have the cost of this inventory part assigned to Cost Element in two different ways:One Cost Element for our Financial department for General Ledger Other (different) Cost Element in Project Navigator / Budget AnalysisOur goal is to have the cost reported in two different ways, one simpler way needed for our Financial department, and one more detailed way for Project team.Thank you and best regards.

I think the answer is probably going to be no but you never know so I’ll ask anyway.In the same company we have two distinct business units that both use projects but in the same way. Lets call them business unit A and business unit B. Both business units have different sets of engineers assigned to them. Business unit A wants to prohibit engineers from business unit B from booking time to projects belonging to business unit A.. We thought about using project access on but that casts too wide a net and would impact common support groups like purchasing and finance that support both business units which would make the access groups painful to continually maintain. We were hoping at the time entry level there was an easy way to make projects (or sub projects, or activities for that matter) invisible to those engineers that shouldn’t be able to book time to them..   

We have created a Project invoice from an Application for Payment from a sales contract. This is to release remaining retention on the Sales contract .  So it is Retention only application for payment. .  The Invoice will not go to Posted authorise , but there are no errors showing on the Invoice.  has anyone experienced this issue before ? We are on app 10 Update 11. Jeremy
