Hi people, can anybody tell me what are the general differences between MRP vs P-MRP qith respect to material demand by an Project activity. Thx in advance...

Without remembering much details, I think P-MRP (Project MRP) considers only demands and supply that are connected to project activities (that has project id and activity sequence). Otherwise most of the functionality is the same, I think.

MRP and PMRP are both very similar. They user data from Masters, Supply, Demand and Product Structures (BOMS) to calculate a purchasing and Production Plan for Project and Standard Inventory.

Some key differences are:

>PMRP does not create Supplier Schedules or Production Schedules and does not see any demand that is not Project Connected.

>A Planned Netting Group (PNG) is used by PMRP to move supply to where it is most needed by creating Material Transfer Requisitions

>PMRP does not plan to use Alternate Components where MRP may.

Hi folks,

thx for your replies!
