Hi all,There is an inventory part which part type is manufactured and it has serial tracking. There is not any qty in stock for the inventory part however there are parts and serials no that received from shop orders before in part serials page. For the part is not wantted to use serial tracking any more. So, is it possible to change the serial tracking to lot/batch tracking? Is there any way to change it?Thanks

Good Afternoon,  We are currently on Apps 10 Update 20 and working on some custom fields.  Is it possible to have a custom field highlight when data is entered? These fields would be on headers in orders, quotes, customers and not necessarily in a line item level.  We can do conditional formatting in line level detail but would like it to be applied there as well. Thanks  

Hello everyone.  I am hoping someone can give me some suggestions for how to resolve this conflict.  Our manufacturing process is a conveyor belt line.  The first machine does task 1 and the product goes down a conveyor to a second machine that performs task 2, then on to the conveyor belt again until it reaches another machine for a 3rd task.  Then further down the conveyor belt the product is packaged at the final work station. We have these set up as operations within our route, and each operation has a unique work center.The production team reports scrap at the operation level to allocate the correct cost at time of scrap.  They also report labor at the operation level and use for productivity measures.  This has worked great for the production team, but our planning team is downloading files and planning outside of IFS.Our planning team would like to be able to schedule within IFS, but they would like to do so using a single bar in either APB or VP, without the spaghetti effect or

When creating a new engineering revision,  any text in the field Note is copied. We would like to find an empty Note field when a new revision is created, and keep text on previous revisions. Can this functionality be implemented in coming IFS Cloud updates?

Is there a way to change the status of a Business Opportunity Line to “Won” without having to create a customer order from the Line?   We have lines that are part of a bigger project that are technically “Won” but we can only cancel the line or create a customer order and then cancel the customer order.Seems that you should be able to Wim the Line like you can do at the Business Opportunity header.We are using Enterprise Explorer, version 10, update 13

Hello We have many instances where we ship material to our internal companies - the business are trying to avoid having to correct or adjust the IFS transactions with a manual entry to reverse the Material Overhead added to the cost of the purchased part. I have looked using the part specific functionality, but the business does not wish to use alternative parts for this process - All help is very very much appreciated.  Kind RegardsPaula 

Hi all, I work in a Danish machine company called GM and we have been using IFS for a little over a year now. We are currently working and testing the IFS Configurator, to be able to configurate our machines to make it easier for us and our customers. There have been done several tests and our issue right now, is when we make a DOP-order for a machine, the phantom BOM of the machines sub assemblies with the MRP-code “K” isn't visible in the production order. Meaning our production won´t be able to see where all the different parts belong to. We have tried some different things incl. adding a BOM that have a MRP-Code “K”  to the order, which came out as It should. - Also if the BOM is with a MRP-code “P” it will also come out correct, BUT we have run in to problem with the “P” MRP-code, so we don´t want to use that on. My questions is therefore, what can we do to fix the above issue? - we want to use the MRP-Code “K” and we want them to shown in the order when adding a DOP-order in our

We have changed the cost template on a phantom part and rolled up the top level part but the cost bucket does not change. When we changed our template we expected only two variable cost buckets, 200 and RAW. However, LABOH which is a fixed-cost has remained. Any ideas on how to remove this?

Is it possible in finitely limited resources to firm/fix up shop orders and or operations so that APB plans around the firmed operations without moving the firmed/fixed ones? And if not, is there a workaround here

We are using IFS 10 UPD9.When the operators create a new MRB the status goes to Created.However, on a least 3 cases the MRB went into status Planned.  We can’t figure out what is making the status be Planned vs Created.Planned doesn’t even seem to be a valid status (doesn’t show in the search options).Can anyone shed some light on why MRBs sometimes create in status Created and sometimes Planned?

Can we make an enumeration field read only in ifs cloud  ?

Hello! We are using: IFS Cloud Web version: 22.2.10.20230705163153.0IFS OData provider version: 22.2.10.20230705114338.0 In a customized Pl/SQL Package we are using approval_routing_api.Notify_Group_Members and approval_routing_api.Notify_Users to generate notifications for specific steps in specific times. It is working fine having the module Inventory Part for example. and the Part_No is included in the email contents. The needed modification is to have the Part Description included as well. Is there any way to have such a customization without touching the IFS Standard Packages?Thank you in advance.  

HI, Does anyone have knowledge regarding Complete Where Used I am looking for a simple return of all top-level parts in our inventory and a clear list of where the single part (e.g., part number 123123) is used within multiple sub-assemblies of several separate top level structures. Bypassing sub assemblies and only returning lists of top level parts.However, I am specifically interested in receiving this information in a tabular format, not as a hierarchical tree structure.

I want to send the components to the supplier using supplier material.I am trying to get the system to only reserve the supplier material from a supplier’s location, not from a main warehouse stock location, as the part will be ordered and drop-shipped to the supplier. I want the application to raise a purch req if there’s no stock in the supplier’s location.But even though the inventory part is set to reserve & issue only from specified locations and the location is entered on the buildable purchase product structure for that component line, it still allows me to reserve the supplier material from the main warehouse stock location.The purchase product structure is buildable because I want MRP to plan the material, which will be issued to the supplier using supplier material on the purchase order line. Hello, When we unissue component material from a shop order we do not want to unissue back to the original location. Instead we ask the production associates to unissue to a location under a specific location group and the Location to Unissue page. I would like to create a custom event to validate that the user is selecting the appropriate location group when unissuing from shop order but I cannot seem to find the correct logical unit to use. Any ideas?

Does IFS allow for phantom functionality for production recording? What a phantom should allow is to record the FG in in one UOM (drum) but backflush through the immediate component to the next level lower in the BOM in another UOM. I’ve seen this in other ERP system, but sure in IFS. 

 We are using APPS10 UPD14When in the screen Move Inventory Part, we query for a site and the details lines don’t match what is in the header.  See below:Query for Part and Site (37):     Header is correct (Site 37) however, the table rows below display Site 37 AND Site 15, it should only show Site 37.

We are exploring the feasibility of enabling direct time registration on the shop order screen, even when the shop floor workbench is not in use.This capability is currently present for work orders, allowing time registration on work assignments, which subsequently appears on the time registration screen.

Hello,I am attempting to use a Manufacturing Control Plan to allow an associate to record a Part Number etching on a part we produce. However, the part make contain alphabet and numerical i.e. - 12345ACRev2. Essentially, I would like to have the employee record the part number that was etched in a control plan analysis and have that checked against the value on the CP. I was using variable and setting the outer min, nominal, and outer max to the part number. This was working. However, it does not appear to accept letters. I am hoping there is another way to achieve this in IFS (IFS Apps 10 UDP 15). Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hello, IFS10 community.I am trying to connect to IFS10 server oracle database to retrieve information from Power BI.I didn’t have any problem with other SQL queries but for another I can’t retrieve any information. It says table is empty, but when I run the query in SQL Query tool information is in the that table.Do any person have any suggestion where problem can be?Thank you.
