We are using IFS APPS 9. Scheduled database tasks run daily for Manufacturing Lead Time (10 PM) and cumulative lead time (8 PM) calculations, as well as daily MRP calculations (1 AM). A quick report for the MRP is generated and sent out at 5:00 AM. Generally, this process is consistent day-to-day, but we have noticed disruptions during weekends.

During weekends, lead times for certain parts increase, affecting our MRP reports over the weekend and on the following Monday (or the 1st working day of the week).

To address this issue on Monday, we have tried manually re-running the scheduled database tasks for Manufacturing Lead Time, Cumulative Lead Time, and MRP calculations site-wide. This correction ensures accurate lead times and MRP reports.

We would appreciate insights into why these disruptions occur and any suggestions for prevention. Thank you for your assistance.

It is the capacity of the work center that is fetched from the capacity on the day of the calculation.

Do you really need to calculate the lead time on a daily basis? Can’t you simply skip to have the lead time calculated on weekends?
