Does someone have the SQL code required to create a Quick Report for Supplier Age Analysis ? 

We have a problem with Shop Order requisition due dates relative to shop order start dates that result from a MRP run. If our order quantity is 1, the manufacturing lead-time is 5, and the due date is 09/25/2020 then the start date will be 09/24/2020; why is it not offset 5 days?  Should be offset by the fixed manufacturing lead-time. If we change the order quantity to 10, then the start date is offset by 10 days and is 9/15/2020; this is not good.  We want to use “standard practice” where the lead-time offset is not affected by the order quantity size. Can anyone please help with this? EDM

Does anyone offer tools or shortcuts that would aide in setting up permissions in Aurena? We have permission sets for functional areas in IEE that we would like to convert over.  The process now seems quite manual. Thanks.

Hello,  I’m attempting to use the Copy Part feature to copy an Inventory Part, Routing, and Product structure to another site in my system. Currently, we are creating parts in an estimating site that houses all of our work centers, labor classes, etc. Once the parts are finalized, I would like to use the Copy Part function to move those parts to the correct manufacturing site. I have noticed that the Copy Part function works, however it does not bring over my routing steps. I’ve tried changing the status to Build, but the routing steps still do not appear after the copy. I’m not sure if there is something I’m missing, or if this is how the Copy Part function works when you try to copy to another site.  The final item I’ve noticed is that you are not able to copy a new Product Structure component part to a new site unless you manually copy the part prior to running the Copy Part from the top level Inventory Part. Hi All, This question is related to BR version 5.0.9.0. Please see attached word document for related screen shots.   Attempt 1: I added a  customer attribute ‘SELECTION_GRP’  to FACT_TIME_TRANSACTION (source type - Function Call) and used it as a BR report parameter . The report will show LoV for ‘Selection Group’ when it runs from BR .But when I run it from IFS/Order Report LoV is not displayed. I think the reason for missing LoV in IFS may be ‘SELECTION_GRP’ is not a primary key item   Attempt 2: I did not see a standard dimension for ‘Selection Group’ , So I created a Quick Dimension  for Selection Group. And tried to create a Relation for Fact using Quick Dimension. but was unable to do so because I could not find a fact item id from FACT_TIME_TRANSACTION to the ‘selection_group’ source

Hi, One of our manufacturing work centers (currently setup with a single resource and labor class, on a 24/6 calendar, equating to 24 hours of available capacity per day) needs to be amended. We’re looking for this loading cell to enable 48 hours of work to be done per day. A new calendar can’t be created (48/6). Our only option, it appears, is to include an additional resource.But in doing so, APB (our main scheduling platform) makes the orders released to this work center start in parallel to each other. Where, in reality they should be one after. Is there another way around this, without recourse to halving the MFG factor of the parts routed to this work center?Any suggestions? many thanks,Jay

We are using IFS 9 update 14 with multi-company connections.A user from our US company is trying to register project time for a connected project/activity from our Finnish company. When saving the entry they get the error message: You cannot modify project transactions of company CCUS without a valid position assignment.The users have been setup as multi-company correctly and have successfully registered time for other multi-company projects. We have seen this error occur for another muti-company project. The solution for that issue was a missing default site value on the project. (Not the solution this time.)We assume there is an issue with the project/activity or multi-company connection but, the time reg. message is not providing much help. Comparing the problem project with another working project has not shown any differences in the configuration.

Hello,Would it be possible to have a mirror of the “warranty repair” checkbox of customer orders in the window of shop order. If the user checks in shop order, the checkbox is checked in the sales order (as example) Thank you.

This is hopefully a quick solve! We’re getting an error using Demand Plan client where it’s saying weight is missing when we try to forecast based on Net Weight.   The obvious answer is to add a Net Weight to the Master Part, however we’ve done this and ran all the jobs to update the client. It’s still not working. Any ideas on other fields or areas of the system to check? Looking at everything obvious this part is set up the same as any other where we can do this.

Hi All,I’m trying to create a custom field that looks up the planner of a part (using INVENTORY_PART_API.Get_Planner_Buyer) where the company is always 1 and the part number is an other custom field in a custom logical unit I’ve created. Please see the image below: Here is the error I’m getting during validation: 

Often times in our industry, we will need to requote an existing product to our customer. The Bid Estimate module does allow us to pull in the existing Inventory Part, which is great. However, I have noticed that if you do that, you cannot modify the Std Lot Size on the part. I’ve attempted to create a new Version and Revision, but I am still unable to change this. Often times we will change the Std Lot Size to give several cost options. Is there a way to accomplish this in IFS?    

How to change “Not Life Limited” serial part to “Life Limited” serial part after user in a serial structure template. Initially i have installed a Serial Part in serial structure template as a “Not Life Limited” serial part but after a certain period period of time, the same Serial Part become “Life Limited”, so just wanted to know how to modify my serial part and consequently my serial structure template.

Hi, has anyone been able to find a way to more easily move around a large project in the gantt view to create and link dependencies? At the moment our users are having to hover close to the edge of the screen to move further down / up a project sequence to manage the dependencies. Ideally we could use a mouse scroll wheel but it seems as soon as you enter dependency mode on the gantt the scroll wheel is no longer available. Has anyone got a good work around for this please?

I have a situation where some shop orders are getting the Release_No set to 1.  Initially I thought it was a user issue, but found that we have this field hidden and the user can’t get to it.  The other thing I found was that the Shop Orders appear to come from Shop Order Requisitions, but I can’t seem to get it to duplicate in my recent refreshed test environment.  The other thing I thought it may be was if you copy a Shop Order that has the Release_No set to 1 that it just brought it along, I’m not able to make that happen as well.  What sets the Release_No?  We utilize the default lot numbering in IFS and we are seeing some of the Lot #s have a number in the Release_No field instead of *.

When in Master Part, the user clicks Attachments and a document is displayed in the list.  When the user clicks View and clicks OK the user receives the following message:  You must have View access in order to read this file.  How do I resolve this issue. Thank you. John

Is there possible to view the parameters values when a procedure call is done in background?   In debug window you can see the server trace, but theres no parameter values given, just the procedures names. Example:  

We are moving from Apps 8 to Apps 10 (combination of IEE and Aurena that hasn’t been hashed out yet). For our National Field Service team, we are currently using Apps 8 IEE Work Order utilizing Resource Allocation Gantt, transferring to Mobile Work Order, and finishing in Apps 8 IEE. I was wondering if anyone out there has a similar experience and what your solution is? If you are using Maintenance Planning Board for Field Service, what your general opinion is? Figuring out our best practices with the big leap from 8 to 10/Aurena, especially with the new workflow. Thanks in advance for any insight!

Hello, I have noticed an issue when using the Multi-Site Part Structure Analysis module in IFS Apps 10. The analysis does not show the full BOM in some cases. Specifically, it stop when when we hit an Inventory Part with a Part Type of Purchased (Purchased Part with a Product Structure). Unfortunately, this paints an incomplete picture when we view a Part using this analysis. Is there another location in IFS where you can view the full structure of a Multi-Site part, or is there a configuration setting that must be enabled to view the structure of a Purchase Part in this screen? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Can you tell me how we can grant a custom made IAL to user IFSSYS?We find in the documentation the following text.  Own views need to be granted to user IFSPRINT and IFSSYS We are able to grant the custom made IAL’s to IFSPRINT (via IFS application – Security – Permission Sets) but we don’t see the IFSSYS user here.Maybe we have to this in PL/SQL ?
