We are a company that is producing different plastic profiles. For planning we use APB. As we may produce several items that have the same shape (tool) but different lengths we want to put them together and reduce set up time between shop orders. We were told that we can use set up matrix and sequencing. During test it worked fine, unfortunately, after setting this up for all our tools, it created millions of combinations and APB crashed. Is anyone else also having the same requirement? If so – how do You handle that? Do You use APB or perhaps other planning tool? I would be grateful for any suggestions and ideas
