Hiusing IFS apps 10 and have been playing around with the Resource structures and resource analysis to replicate actual resource constraints.however there is an icon on the resource structure that I do not know the meaning to (below highlighted in red) can anyone help? Also can anyone explain the difference 1) Schedule capacity, 2) Adjusted capacity and 3) utilization capacity on the resource analysis graph? kind regardsJamie

Hi, in our customer’s APPS10 environment; 1. Go to an Assembly Shop Order with custom fields defined in ShopMaterialAllocUtil (Under manuak resevatuons detail > RMB> Custom fields)2. Now RMb on on line? Manual Reservations3. Check 'Show all reservable parts' checkbox4. You get an oracle error saying"invalid table nameFailed executing query (ORA-00903: invalid table name)"At the same time, while the aboce check box is checkedRMB on the detail tab> Custom Objects> Fields> OverviewYou get another error saying;"---------------------------IFS Applications---------------------------The view for this page and logical unit do not match. It is not possible to add a Custom Field to this page---------------------------[OK]---------------------------" Is there a fix for this issue?

Hi, MRO customers have highlighted a situation in MRO interim order structure; when you try to perform automatic disassembly level by level via the tree navigator the ‘include sublevel’ checkbox is automatically checked. You can obviously uncheck this prior to performing the disassembly, however the customers’ argument is that when you want to perform disassembly level by level this checkbox shouldn’t be automatically checked, unlike when you’re trying to perform the disassembly via the RMB option in the header. Will this functionality be changed?

Hi, For MRO customers who have migrated from APPS8 to APP10 there’s an issue where disconnected repair orders are not shown under manual pegging. I.e. these orders have been disconnected within the APPS8 environment prior to data migration. Is there a fix available for the issue?

There is a significant lack of functionality in the use of the Engineering Part Navigator in Aurena, I’m looking for help from anyone who can give me some ideas on how to manage this.I have a parts list that is single level of 150 parts or 500 parts or, even, a 1000 parts.  My objective is to establish Parent/Child relationships within this single level list of parts to, well, establish multi-level BoMs that are needed to build the ship.  Imagine trying to do this! We could use the navigator where we put it into Edit mode and cut and paste.  Remember, there is NO ability to filter in the Engineering Part Navigator.  Go find, say, PN=123 Find Number ABC.  (we’re using find no, too, because there are many parts where PN=123.  It is the 125th part on the list and I want to cut it and paste it under the 50th item on the list.  Now, to get to this child part to cut it, you have to scroll (Show More), 5 times to get to see the part to “cut” in and then you have to scroll again to get to the

Community, in floor stock, we have an expensive part in our Bipolar Plate Production , financial would like to track this part not only the material cost, but also the time spent in the shop floor.  my first thought is to create an operation without material, milestone, user report the hours on this operation, then financial cost this hours accordingly (labor class or W/C). would that be possible? any other good solution to handle this? Thank you. 

I want to print shop order with their documents attached but when i print it doesn’t print. somebody know what happen or another way to print it.

When an employee works overnight labor clocking's within clocking on day 1 and out clocking on day 2 is 'calculated' on day 2.  This causes a mfg. diff. on day 1. Furthermore, duration of the labor clocking is calculated to 0.Could you advice any known workaround available?

We are using IFS 9, with plans to go to IFS 10.Is there a place in IFS we can view the phantom assembly which allocated instead of the blown-through components of that phantom?We’ve noticed in IFS 10 that there is a field on the Shop Order for Phantom Part No, but this only shows 1 level up. We have instances where there are multiple levels to an assembly, with multiple levels of phantoms. We’d like to see the uppermost assembly that allocated, not just 1 level up.

Can a shop order be unpegged from a customer order line if that line has a status of “Invoiced/Closed”? We need to cancel a shop order but we cannot because the customer order line that it is pegged to has a status of “Invoiced/Closed”. But we can’t unpeg it because of the status. Any suggestions?

Has anyone implemented work instructions within IFS and or attached fillable PDF forms attached to shop orders that when submitted attach to the shop order they originated from.  Trying to create work flow that assemblers, techs and engineers can verify the work being done is being documented within the shop order thereby eliminating the paperwork associated with creating build binders /  work travelers to a paperless e-traveler / build binder.

Hi,  We are using BizAPI SetSOOperationTimeStamp to receive status update from our MES system. The issue we experience is the files were received with a status as ‘Finished’ but sometimes the timestamp is not recorded to the operation.  Do you have any idea on this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hi!We use a lot of time adding new parts and registering these on many sites. Does anyone have a good solution for copying these parts out to different sites? The data for each part are more or less exactly the same. Could for example IFS Replication be used even though it’s not separate databases or should could we use IFS data migration? 

Why the shop orders are not automatically scheduled considering the product structure? Even when pegged according to the product structure and run the APB, schedule is still not arranged as per the product structure.

Hello all, I have recently noticed an access issue that I cannot seem to resolve. Currently, our Logistics group is setup with Query access to the Inventory Locations screen in IFS. They are able to access and view locations, however, they cannot print a barcode label. When a user RMBs on a given location, the option does not appear in the menu. I have run debug and checked the Permission Set, but I do not see where this access is granted. I still want to prevent them from adding/editing locations, but I would like for them to be able to print barcode labels as need. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Community, I might send this question before, but I still have no answer. how I could print HU label (as well as content label) automatically before put-away. I really don’t see any function support this. I am in APP10 UPD 9. Thank you.

Recently Upgraded to APPS10 and we have a few part configuration statuses in Parked State. How can we change the cofiguration status once the Shop Order is Started? We can view the configuration but we can’t receive it into inventory, we get an error. How can we process the shop and receive the part?Thank you.   

i have a requirement to setup one part as Manufacturing part X in Site A with sub components 1,2 and 3 and this will be sold to SITE B , in site B it will be received as Inventory or purchase part. How can we do this . How can site B request for Site A for item X.What are the steps for setting up a Manufactuing part or Engineering part in Site A.1.Create product structure.2.Routing3.How the cost will get rolled up to Item X which is the parent part or Manufactuing part in Site A. Kindly advice. Regards Arif

Hello All, I have encountered a significant problem that I have been unable to resolve. I need to delete multiple inventory locations, however, I am unable to as they are referenced as the Proposed Location on numerous Shop Orders. I have been looking through the help and online community, but I have not found a way to correct these en masse. The only workaround I have found is to go to each individual Shop Order and delete the value in the field. If the SO is closed, it must be re-opened and then deleted. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello all, I have a need to delete several hundred Shop Order Requisitions in IFS Apps 10. All of them have Shop Orders that have already been created and closed. It appears that I do have the capability to delete the requisitions, however, I am concerned that there may be some issue with simply deleting them. I need to keep the Shop Orders themselves for history reference. Are there any potential issues with simply deleting a shop order requisition that has been converted to a Shop Order, which has been completed and closed?Thank you!
