Insights (Business Reporter and Analysis Models, EOI)

Starting on July 13, 2024, our data loads started having issues.  We did not have any patching or updates or changes that I can find. Prior to this they were running successfully since deployment for over 6 months. The data load itself has a status of executing with errors.  Each data source shows as Executing, Failed, Success or Submitted.  Most were showing as Submitted.  The BI server errors looked like they were deadlocking them selves.  I put sequential IDs and sequences on all of the data sources and now most show as Success. Hi all, I try to log-on to Business Reporter, but I face strange error, which I have never met before: When I click “Refresh the page.” I get this error: I have installed this website’s certificate and this environmental works in browser correctly. I have also prepared IAM Client as it should: I have done this several times before for different environmental, and I have faced an errors when IAM Client or certificate is not defined correctly, but now I have done and defined them for this environmental at least twice.​​​​​​​Certificate are stored on “Trusted Root Certification Authorities” -folder. I also stored them to different locations too, but did not make any difference. This environmental is working on 24R1 SU1.

IFS Cloud 23R1 SU4I’ve tried scheduling a Business Reporter report with the scheduling functionality introduced in 22R2.I’ve noticed the following:3 application messages are created for below settings the first 2 app messages I understand what they are and I get the email for these notifications The 3rd application message fails with NO ROUTING RULE FOUND. Also the input message only refers to data from report Archive.Does anyone have any idea how is this supposed to work? I don’t wanna have failed application messages. I could create a Routing Rule to catch this message and don’t do anything with it, but I’d like to understand what’s the purpose of the 3rd application message.

Hi I am getting this error message in Aurena “Invalid datasource definition”  and not in IEE. I checked permissions for both the design and source element and all the permissions were granted.   

Hi all, With Crystal Reports being deprecated, was weighing the alternatives available for regular users to create business reporting. Anyone who has used both Power BI and Business Reporter, what are your thoughts? How do they compare against the visuals, limitations, configurability, integaration with IFS, access etc.I know Power BI will need premium licensing and will have to host the reports on a workspace for them to work.

Hello,I’m having a problem where Custom Field data is not getting transferred over to SQL database. Here’s what i have done,1. Relations for Facts      2. Custom Attributes for Facts  3. Access View  4. Data Source  5. Deploy to SQL Server Db6. Data Load Run 7.  FACT_BUSINESS_OPP_BI_TAB table shows as NULL for CF$_EC_NEXT_STEP  8. Querying for ‘SELECT * FROM FACT_BUSINESS_OPP_BI’ shows below, Any idea why it’s not transferring any custom field data to SQL Server?

BR Reports refuse to be rendered as a PDF although these settings were done:  There was an issue with PDFs which should have been resolved by BR version 23.2.0 (EIZBR-2617), but I am using version 24.1.1 in this case and still I am getting would-be PDFs as ordinary Excel workbooks.

when i add a new table to existing layout , the table doesnt appear in preview online. could anyone explain why?

Hi Team, Would really appreciate your advice here. I create  Functional Parameters  but they are is not showing in my BR whatever I try :(Yes I am connecting to same Environment, I refresh ALL Information Sources in BR Functional Param don’t get publish from memory I even duplicate an existing Func Param  but still the new one doesn’t appear. only the old one is visible in BR I even restarted my Laptop … Crazy isn’t it what am I missing here ?  Thanks 

Hi everyone,I have a request from a customer who needs to adjust the date entry format in Quick Report parameters. This is a Crystal-based Quick Report, and they want to enter the date in dd-mm-yyyy format. However, when attached to Quick Report, it prompts for yyyy-mm-dd instead. The report itself is designed to read the date in the required dd-mm-yyyy format, but the Quick Report interface enforces a different format.Has anyone encountered this issue before? Is there a way to modify the date format for Quick Report parameters inside IFS Application?Any insights would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance.   

Hi Community, I am trying to Schedule Quick Report. It failed with below error‘The directory id MY_USERID is not allowed to run the application.ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.ERROR_SYS", line 140ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.ERROR_SYS", line 341ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.LOGIN_SYS", line 329ORA-06512: at "IFSAPP.LOGIN_SYS", line 136ORA-06512: at line 1” Just to mention that I got IFS_ALL permission and I can also run the QR in the frontend. I tried other QR also without success.When I change “Execute As” to ‘System’ it also fail with a different error ‘Entity instance not found. (QUICK_REPORT - QUICK_REPORT_ID=813974.0)’.Also to mention that we are on APP10 update 15.Much appreciate your help

Hello,We have an issue surrounding business reporter that is causing frustration in its users. After initial login in Excel, we are able to use BR as needed. However, if we get timed out and attempt to login again, we get the error below. The only workaround we’ve found involves closing all instances of Excel and reopening the business reporter. This is a pain when working on many reports, or when we just have many different documents open. Occasionally this doesn’t even fix the issue and we need to restart the entire computer. Is anyone else experiencing these issues with BR? Information I need is:Number of tickets in a given month Distribution of tickets among individuals Average time to resolve a ticket How many are currently open and since when.I started with the simple Event Monitor using a query providing all Incidents from the beginning of this year, however the chart for some reason provides data only until February.I am using Date/time logged, where below you can see I have a data from e.g. july this year:  And the chart provides this: Any idea why?And also how else I could get the report providing me all details I had mentioned at the beginning? Thank you very much in advance for your help.

Hello,I am curious if IFS comes standard with any Quick Reports that a client would get when they purchase the ERP, or if all Quick Reports need to be created by the client. We have a list of dozens of Quick Reports in our system, and I’m wondering if any of them came standard out-of-the-box or if we made them all/had them all made for us.Thank you!

I encountered an issue when opening a report generated from the ORDER REPORT screen in IFS Business Reporter. When I open the saved Excel file, I get the following error message: (We found a problem with some content in [report id]. Do you want us to try to recover as much as we can? If you trust the source of this workbook, click Yes.")After clicking Yes, the report opens, but I'm unsure what caused the error or if the content is affected.Has anyone experienced this before or know what might be causing it? 

Anybody ever created a dynamic rolling 12-month report in Business Reporter for balance sheet items (including the Period 0 activity)? I’m running into issues, and wanted to know if someone had a better idea or an idea to tweak what I have. I have 23 column designs. The first is for the wanted YearPeriod. The next 11 are “previous YearPeriods within the same year (currently filtered to 2025)”. The next 11 columns I’m attempting to have the same conditions, but in the previous year (again, filtered to 2024). When I run the report for January, it’s perfect, it gives me 12 different months. For every month past January, it gives me an extra “December”, as my current filtering is telling the report to give me all of 2024. Example, if ran for March 2025, I will have 3 December 2024’s, 1 wanted and 2 extra columns, due to the filters of =2024 and 2 YearPeriods behind 202505 is January 2025. Any thoughts/suggestions/ideas/constructive criticisms are greatly appreciated!

After the Windows 11 update I can't export in Excel an IFS Business Reporter file.I usually go to the 'Manage Reports' function in the tool bar and then "Export" the report. Which then saves the file as an excel file.I have been using this method successfully for years until my laptop has gone through the Windows 11 update. I am now receiving the below error message: Any idea how to resolve this issue? Thanks The error details as follow:System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x800A03EC): Excel cannot open the file ’tmp30AB’ because the file format or file extension is not valid.
