Insights (Business Reporter and Analysis Models, EOI)

Anybody ever created a dynamic rolling 12-month report in Business Reporter for balance sheet items (including the Period 0 activity)? I’m running into issues, and wanted to know if someone had a better idea or an idea to tweak what I have. I have 23 column designs. The first is for the wanted YearPeriod. The next 11 are “previous YearPeriods within the same year (currently filtered to 2025)”. The next 11 columns I’m attempting to have the same conditions, but in the previous year (again, filtered to 2024). When I run the report for January, it’s perfect, it gives me 12 different months. After the Windows 11 update I can't export in Excel an IFS Business Reporter file.I usually go to the 'Manage Reports' function in the tool bar and then "Export" the report. Which then saves the file as an excel file.I have been using this method successfully for years until my laptop has gone through the Windows 11 update. Hi,Is it possible to use a dynamic expression such as TRUNC(SYSDATE, 'IW') - (7*52) - 1 as a condition value for an information source entity criteria? Trying to add this for ITH_DATE_CREATED in FACT_INVENT_TRANS_HIST information source but i get below error when trying to click on save,Invalid date (TRUNC(SYSDATE, 'IW') - (7*52) - 1) defined for item FACT_INVENT_TRANS_HIST.ITH_DATE_CREATED. The date format should be YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS 

Greetings!When I perform an Inventory Count Report, I get a part number that is located in different spots that is printed on one sheet each location it is in. Is there a way to consolidate the report that way I don’t get 80+ pages of the same part number on 80 different locations on 80 separate pages on Apps 10?   

Hi,I’m trying to call a custom API from an IAL in IFS Cloud.  The procedure is in a custom ‘develop on the inside’ utility package written and deployed from IFS Developer and works fine when called from projections.  The IAL also works fine if a standard IFS API procedure is called.I have added IFSAPP. prefix to the procedure call in the IAL query and as a result of this Community question I’ve also tried the @AO.. prefix (although that seems to apply to APPS10).Either of these result in the background job getting stuck in ‘Executing’ with progress shown as ‘Copying data’.I have also granted execute privilege on the package to IFSINFO.Is there something else I need to do to get the IAL to populate?  

Hi when publishing Business Reports in to IFS Cloud there is no possibility to categorize the reports.I would like to have the possibility to at least set the Domain or Category.Is it possible somehow to amend the list of Domains and Categories in the Order Report program?

Hi,is there any way to achieve this in Business Reporter?SELECT MAX(result_seq_no) We run a job several times each month, generating values for our projects. Each time, the results are logged it creates a new result_seq_no., I only want to fetch the highest (newest) sequence for my projects into my Business Reporter report. Eks data in IFS Cloud:Project result_seq_no Values A 1 1 A 2 2 B 3 1 A 4 5 B 5 3  When fetching to Business Reporter, I want this:Project result_seq_no Values A 4 5 B 5 3

Since upgrading to Windows 11, we have been experiencing problems re-opening reports/files that have been generated using IFS Business reporter excel add-in with APPS10. Has anyone else had this error and been able to resolve?This error is received when no other files are open etc   

Has anyone come across a way of using a wildcard (‘%’ OR ‘*’) in the report Parameters so the user can select all without having to type the individual values?  They may need to run the report with one value in the parameter or  with no filter so it gets everything pulling through. Any advice is appreciated. Cheers

Hi,We are upgrading to IFS Cloud 23R2 and have an issue with Business Reporter reports that were written in IFS Apps 10.We have tested in the BR client versions 23.2.0, 23.2.1 and 23.2.2 – the issue is present in all of them.Our report developers have used multiple sheets and use many formulas referring to data on other sheets like this example:In the Design view you can see the reference to a sheet within the workbook. When the report is run you can see the sheet names have been stripped out so excel is now referring to cells on the current sheet:  We need this resolving ASAP as our go live approaches.We have raised a ticket but nothing has been done yet. ThanksPaul

Somethimes you have an Business Reporter which shows you the Field value as  #NAME? Just Run the Report and cancel and the field will show you normal again. 

After upgrading Business reporter to 24R2 version. I am frequently facing an error “Error while calling the projection BrClientAuthorizationHandler”.when I log in for the first time, I am able to load and run the report. However, if I try to load or open another report, I get an error.To resolve this, I have to close all the instances and reopen it.I did not encounter this issue before the upgrade. I am using a user who as all the necessary grants.- BA_SUPER_USER- BA_ENDUSER- BA_DESIGNER-  BA_REPORT_ADMINIs there anything that needs to be refreshed or any additional steps after installation to fix this issue? Tool version: 24.2.1.0Error -  Thank you!Sneha 

Hi,There is a difference in how the BR report is executed when the parameter value in entered manually and selected from LOV. Selecting from LOVTyping manually This happens for both ‘Year’ and ‘Month’. They are of number type. But this is how the queries are formed.using to_char() or to_number() in advanced filter criteria didn’t work. Converting the field in the IAL using to_char() also didn’t work.Is there any other way to resolve this? Best Regards,Nisansala

Hi ,We are trying to use Spend Analysis sample BI report and it’s not loading data into the report. The tabular model is deployed, and the Supplier Performance sample BI report is working as expected, even though both reports fall under Procurement. Our customer is using version 23R1. Our customer is in 23R1. Fix this command in the report does not fix the issues as well. Hi, We have come across an issue where if we ‘order’ the business reporter report in Excel it errors as it cant find/run the macro.  But if we ‘load’ report, it loads up with the box at the top to enable macros. We click enable, then ‘run’ and the report works fine.  We have always had issues with these reports running out of the IFS application, which is why we use IFS Business Reporter instead. Are you able to assist with this query please? Our company does have a policy where they don’t want users to use macros, but I’m not sure of another way around it so I’m looking for any options. thank you for your time!
