Business Reporter - New "Information Sources"

Hello - BR comes with a standard list of “information sources”, how do I add additional sources from within IFS?My current specific example: I am looking to add the source “Inventory Parts Unit Cost” from the Warehouse Management-Financial Control path…Have few other needs so this would be very helpful!Thanks

Business Reporter

Hi There,   I am trying to create report through business reporter for GL balance analysis using the filter criteria as Cost center , ICP and Year but on row level my repeater and filter is working but at column level where I have given company and other parameter its not working . I need help in understanding how business reporter work and if I can get any user manual for business reporter for  IFS 10 ?   Regards, Manisha J

Crystal Report IFS V9 return white page

Hello, I created several quick report from crystal report from personal views. All is ok in Crystal. In IFS I have no data on the reports. I done grant acces to IFSPRINT and IFSSYS on all views, but I have the same issue. I found the problem, should come from the user control : For exemple : person_id NOT IN (SELECT person_id FROM customer_info_contact_public ) AND person_id NOT IN (SELECT person_id FROM supplier_info_contact_public ) If I use the _TABs, I have data, but it's not a good solution, because sometime I have to use IFS view and it's not very clean. I granted all acceses to sociéties and sites to IFSPRINT. Always the same issue. How could I resolved this problem, I can’t add WEB_UTIL_API, I have an error when I try. I don't know what I can more test. If anyone could help me, that’ll be very fine. Thanks in advance Regards

IFS academy: e-learning activities NOT available

Hi there:   In the Academy e-learning parts(i.e. customer order process flow), why can I ONLY see the first part_3.1 and where are the other parts? Fixed Asset Objects export to excel

Lobby Data Source using Case statement

I have following SQL statement which gives me the right result:   SELECT CASE WHEN PART_NO LIKE '1%' THEN 'A' WHEN PART_NO LIKE '2%' THEN 'B' WHEN PART_NO LIKE '3%' THEN 'C' END PART_TYPE,  MAX(PART_NO) PART_NO FROM PART_CATALOG WHERE (PART_NO LIKE '1%' OR PART_NO LIKE '2%' OR PART_NO LIKE '3%') GROUP BY CASE WHEN PART_NO LIKE '1%' THEN 'A' WHEN PART_NO LIKE '2%' THEN 'B' WHEN PART_NO LIKE '3%' THEN 'C' END   How would this convert to definition of a Lobby Data Source (with view Part_Catalog) regarding Condition and Group By?

Rolling info in IFS

We heard that it’s possible to notify our users with rolling text inside of IFS. Does anyone knows how this is enabled and can be used? I think the rolling text will be visible in the address field in Enterprise Explorer. (is this possible in Aurena as well?) Wants to notify users with info about upcoming updates, important actions, etc.

Aurena - Implementing a custom report

We have created a custom Sales Quotation Report and added it to the menu in IFS Enterprise. We have added the option to run the report by adding an option to the rmb list.   We now need the same custom quotation to be access from our Eurena application.  Please help

Tracking lobby usage

Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can track who and when lobbies are being used in apps 10? Or course we can create an API with a get-function that updates a history table when called, but I wonder if anyone came up with something more elegant or had a discussion with IFS on this? One of the recent updates enables this for quick reports and this is a great tool which can help us identify which reports are important and which could be phased out (we have 2000 reports build over many years).

Restricting access to IFS standard lobbies

We are currently on version 9 and are starting to create lobbies for user review.  I was able to grant access to the lobby that I created to a permission set, however, the it appears that the user(s) now have access to all of the IFS standard lobbies as well.  I don’t see a way to deactivate these or restrict access to them.  I tried to explicitly revoke access in the permission set to specific lobbies but they are still showing up in the lobby overview, although the data isn’t pulling through.  The issue is that the lobby overview is messy with all of the IFS standard lobbies and I’d like to make that a little cleaner.

Logging on IFS application usage on user level

I would like to know which application (form) is actual started by a user. Security is all arranged by permission set, but it doesn't necessarily means that the program's in the permission sets are actually used Is there a way to activate/facilitate logging somewhere in IFS or via PLSQL? This will help me analysing which application is used by which user and in which frequency.

IFS Login Page

Why not IFS gives popup message that account has been locked. In IFS8, 9 we get the pop up that account has been locked after a set up incorrect credtional was input by user but in IFS V10 we never receive such messages that account has been locked instead it will give incorrect credentials but the user accounts is locked when we check in oracle profile. Why not IFS provide to view the password input by user.... Alot of time we end up entering wrong password due keyboard issue but don't know what we have inputed.

BA Execution Server - Schedule and Run on demand

In BA System Parameters there are only three options for the BA_EXECUTION_SERVER_AVAILABLE: NO/FOR_ALL_INFO_SERVICES_REPORTS/ONLY_FOR_SCHEDULED_REPORTS However this doesn’t really suit our needs as we want to run some through BAES and others direct. For example Report A: Lets say Finance have a report they wish to run on demand (no schedule) and this should open up in their Excel using the BA Addin. Report B: Now we have a wide range of “Cost Centre” reports which breaks down all of the invoices to various managers and they should be able to run these reports on demand also (no schedule) - we don’t want to have to install the BA addin to everyone's machines so want the BAES to handle this functionality and store the report back in the report archive as a standard Excel file.     Can anyone think of a way around this? I first thought about creating schedules for the “Cost Centre” reports and giving the users the ability “Run” the report from the schedule reports screen - which I have te
