Insights (Business Reporter and Analysis Models, EOI)

HelloI am new to IFS and the Business Reporter Application. I have not been able to import data from our Oracle Database (SQL), using the usual ‘Get Data’ option that is available in Business Reporter.  The connection timed out while attempting to consume the pre-login handshake acknowledgement. The server I am trying to connect to , works fine and is available when other people try to access it, so the issue is only between Business Reporter and the database.I have checked the following and can confirm that everything is correctly set up and works correctly:Username and PasswordServer details and portal numberMy access permissions Has anyone encountered this before and is there an easy way to resolve this issue?  

Can you program Lobby Parameters have dropdown selections?  Our Managers would like the ability to select the Sales team instead of typing the name. 

Hi all,I tried to export an application configuration package from IFS Apps 9 and got the following error message:Error: Unexpected error while calling server method AccessPlsql/InvokeThis package contains custom events only.I tried it with the IFSAPP user also, unfortunately the same issue.Does anyone has an idea? Thank you and best regards

I have created an IAL with the below query with a where conditionWhen I am using this IAL for Quick Information source and running the Business Reporter Report.The Data rendered includes with the ZERO quantities.I am having this issue with all IAL’s having Where Clause. system is not filtering the data on where clause for the IAL Reports.

Hi,I’d like to create a lobby element with a field which has no SQL column. The column represents the projected quantity of an item, and can be found in Inventory Part Availability Planning > Availability Check per Day. Ideally, I would use this column to show a list of all items which are projected to have a negative quantity in the next two weeks. However, the column is a calculated aggregate value, where on each date the demand quantity is subtracted and the supply quantity is added.Is there a way of storing the projected value as a custom field? or perhaps calculating it within a SQL query for a data source? Availability Check per DayThank you in advance.

HiI am writing a BR Report in Apps10 but am getting no data from the Information Source “GL Balance Set Analysis”.  I’ve made the following checks:I can see the data in ‘GL Balance Analysis’ with the same user. The GL Authority Class is MAX for my user The user has all 4 end user BI Permission Sets and BI_VIEW_Access The GL Balance Set is based on Business planning data of which my user is an Adminstrator. Just in case I’ve also added my user to a User Group and Budget Process UserReports I’ve written in the past have stopped returning data.What have I missed?

It seems like IFS Business Reporter 5.0.16.0 was pushed to users PCs after a recent IFS delivery was applied. We are having many issues with our BR reports currently published with an earlier version of BR.   Hi, the drill down option from Business Reporter using Aurena Client doesn’t work.Had anyone the requirement to open Aurena Client within using a drill down from BR?  I set up the URL for Aurena Client but BR is still open the IEE. BGEric

Hi, I need some help with a SQL statement for a Quick Report I try to create. I want to show the total amount of a Purchase Order including charges (when a charge or multiple charges are applied on an order) and excluding tax. I created the statement below, but did not get the desired result. The statement is working fine, except the bold part. The statement returns only a value in ‘Total Amount’ when there are charges applied on the Purchase Order. And also, when there are multiple charges applied on the PO, the statement returns multiple lines. Our customer uses Business Reporter in Apps9. They have planned to upgrade to 21R1. How can they use BR in new IFSversion.

Hi,When adding a new lobby element it always end up in a new green box, which I can not move, neither can I move the lobby element to another green box with empty space. Earlier this has worked just fine. My colleagues with the same permission sets can do it. I do not get the green arrow which indicates that the element is movable to appear.Does anyone know how to fix this?Thank you in advance!/Kerstin 

Hi All,To increase the performance of the published BR report, we can enable optimizer features for the SQL statement by using the BR report level execution parameter window’s hint field. I have tested the performance of a BR report that is available in a production environment. It seems the report will execute quickly after enabling optimizer features. Without that, it took more time. By using the database, I have compiled the SQL statements with and without query optimizer statements. In there also the statement which hasn't optimizer hint was consumed more time to run. A screen shot from non-production environment When I trying to order the same report from a non-production environment, it takes more time. But the same optimizer feature statement is there. I suspect that the existing oracle release number of the optimizer feature statement(10.2.0.5) is not compatible with the non-production environment. Hi, I ran into an issue with Business Reporter. I use the data source Business Opportunities. But Business Reporter gets stuck when I try to run my report. There is no error message or some sort, just the screen below which gets stuck. By trial and error, removing items and then test run the report, I discovered what caused the issue: it is item ‘Probability’ and ‘Description’, both under item Probability. When I remove that Item, my report runs without problems. But I do not know how I can resolve this issue? Help is highly appreciated because I want to display the item Probability in my report. Kind regards,Simon  

I want to use multiple layout to print supplier check. Like one check with “AC PAY ONLY”  in the left top corner of the supplier check, another one will be without “AC PAY ONLY”.How I can do it? 

Hi,I have an unclear area on the General Ledger cube in APPS9. When we have an opening balance for any year it will insert under the 0th accounting period key. And If we want to take the value for the opening balance from the “Dm_FACT_GL_BALANCE” table we will have to use the 'BALANCE_OB' field instead of the 'BALANCE' field.Assume we have an opening balance for a company in 2019, My question is when I need to get the GL balance for the 2019 year what is the measure I need to be used?
