Why does the Shop Order Tracked Structure not display correctly in all situations in the Shop Floor Workbench (Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab) when using the Show commands, sometimes showing “No data” even though all component parts are assigned?  Create a shop order with Order Type = Manufactured for a serial-tracked part.  a. Ensure the serial-tracked part includes component parts that are serial- and/or lot/batch-tracked.  Release the shop order.  Reserve all components.  Navigate to the Shop Order Tracked Structure page and verify that all component parts are assigned.  Navigate to the Shop Floor Workbench.  Open Shop Floor Workbench → Dispatch List → Tracked Structure tab.  Execute Show → Assigned Components. 

 I’m attempting to rename a serial part (update the serial number) and am unable to.See screenshot for Fault Message:  “the serial exists in Service Management and cannot be renamed.”Am I missing something.  Are there steps that can be taken to rename this serial?  There is going to be a salesman that returns from site with incorrect object information.  An incorrect serial object will be created for new PM actions.  We will need to be able to Rename the Serial Parts while retaining the history.  I’d be grateful for any help or advice on this.  Thanks in advance,Ed

Hi, According to the IFS documentation, it's possible to rename a part serial linked to a serial object when it's listed as "In Inventory." To enable this, we used the "Move to Inventory" option. A work order was generated, and we completed the return process. The serial object's status was successfully updated.However, despite the part and serial now being in inventory, the rename operation is still failing. The error is “the serial exists in inventory and cannot be renamed” .. Are we missing any step once the serial is returned ??   

Any tips to change the order of the Object Connections?  This is how it’s displayed todayWe would like to get the order that is defined in Default definitions -Documents, Events, Map Positions and Media to improve the usability as intended in standard.Have tried to apply defaults and edit the order of the service list without any luck   (We have the same issue in  24R1 SU12)

We are in the beginning stages of a migration from an AS400 ERP to IFS Cloud. I’m an enterprise software engineer who is new to the IFS world.Our current warehouse shipping process involves a piece of custom software that screen-scrapes from an AS400 terminal session into a Windows application called ClipperShip. This software handles all the carrier specific logic, including printing labels, etc., then another piece of custom software gets the data out of ClipperShip and back into the AS400 ERP.We would like our new solution to be as simple as possible for warehouse employees. Ideally it would be completely web-client based. We have started evaluating some API-based shipping solutions like ProShip and ShipEngine. Our customer has a very real scenario the relates to Activity Planned Start/Finish dates.  These dates are used to schedule the project but often, time needs to be reported to the activity earlier or later than the dates when the activity will occur.  For example, we need to plan a design review on May 12th and 13th, that’s what we want to plan for and what we want the customer (internal and external) to see when the project plan is reviewed.  But these is preliminary and follow-on work that must be done for this activity and costs that need to occur before May 12th or after May 13th.  Is there a way to set the project activity to allow time reporting (and cost, but time is most important) that’s outside of the Early Start/Finish of the project activity?thank you.Patrick

Hi, everyone! I’m working on a custom C# service allowing my company to use the “Manual Reservations for Customer Order Line” functionality with custom reservation location logic programmatically. Reason being our business analysts have determined the native “Reserve Customer Order Lines” IFS functionality doesn’t work for our business needs as we need to be able to choose the inventory location to reserve from. I’ve been told there are ways in native IFS functionality to somewhat determine how the reservation locations get chosen. But that option doesn’t work for us, either.Currently, my process for reserving customer order lines looks like this:Grab reservation locations from custom PL/SQL logic. This is a sub second operation the majority of the time.  HiWe've managed to retrieve data directly from the document view. If the document is connected to a client, I need data from that client, such as their name. We are running 25R1.3 on prem. We have a handful of Custom Events/Event Actions that send REST Post requests to another server. I’d like to route these application messages to a specific message queue, and I am not having any success.  The Event Action is fairly simple, send a POST request to an address like: http://[myserver]/wh/[specific_endpoint] with a json body and a few http headers, no authentication. I am facing an issue in IFS Cloud 25R1 when trying to use Media Items. 1) After creating a new Media Item and saving it, I receive the below error. We see this error in both scenarios either we have the object property Repository Value set as "Database" or “File_storage”, “Restricted File type” 2) Additionally, when attempting to upload an image to the Media Item, with the object properties Repository Value set as “File_storage”, I get the following error “Failed to upload file to storage location.” We did not face this issue in 23R2 but after the upgrade we see the above issues. I would like to understand:Why I am receiving these errors during Media Item creation and image upload?What could be causing the “Restricted File type” message?How can this issue b

Outside of using history logging or working through the documentation page, is there a way to reset the Document Default Values in Basic Data to the original settings of when the system was installed? This is the master list, not the settings in Document Class Management.

Hi All, Current version on the cloud application 25.1.5. I am trying to return a serial part that I received through PO back to the supplier. Please find the steps that I follow.Receive the PO to Inventory location. Re open the PO for the return > Enter the inspection QTY on the receipt > Register inspection result. Add the return option as “Return for Credit” > Shipment created > Serial automatically reserved Create pick list > Pick > and trying to deliver the shipment Following error pops up Does this seems to be a bug. I write to ask you if you, can explain, for what reasons - when a document is uploaded to IFS that the Original File Type may appear as N/A?I have tried viewing documents with Original File Type N/A and am unable to view them, I receive a "Restricted File Type" error when clicking View Document.My initial thinking on this would be that a user attempts to upload the document, something goes wrong in the file transfer process and as a result IFS ends up with an uploaded file that it cannot understand.Can you indicate:1) Are there any other reasons, besides an upload going wrong, that cause a document to be assigned file type N/A? If so, what are these reasons?2) Has IFS ever given consideration, if N/A file type documents are a result of uploads going wrong to presenting user with a prominent messag

At the moment 25R2 is the latest, but we would like to do a fresh install of 25.1.7 for a new customer, as we have a lot of country specific modifications which could not be uplifted to 25R2 yet.But the customer needs a system including those ones ASAP.Is is possible to do a fresh install of a slight older version (25.1.7)?I understand that the Build Place offers only the latest one (25R2), but is that overridable based on a special support request/case by which IFS Support enables this option temporarily?It is on premise.Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Hello  everyone,I want to athorize the negativ limit for one kind of absence.But when my employee want to confirm an absence whereas he can’t even though i authorize a negativ absence ( he has 2 days  in limit absence and he wants to take 3 days). Can you help me please ?

I am using deliver/receive shipment within same site for parts connected to project. The scenario is that shipments are prepared onshore and shipped offshore. There is a certain delay in the process. While delivering these shipments the M3 posting is without project connection. This means that value of the part is temporary taken out of the project until it is received offshore where it is brought back to the project with M1. The setup of the posting control is like all inventory parts are expensed on arrival, meaning that M1 is connected to P&L accounts. It does not seem right that the projects for a while looses connection with inventory/cost values during shipments within warehouses on same site. Anyone with reflections on this? Inputs are highly appreciated. 

We have encountered an issue with the Document Revision window. When a new revision is created and the title is changed in that revision, the change is automatically applied to all previous revisions as well. This occurs regardless of the document status and whether the Update Allowed During Approval toggle is enabled or disabled.Could you please confirm if this is a known bug, and advise how we can fix it? The application version is Cloud 25R1.
