We have an assortment with parts that are set to be refilled with Shipment Order:

If we select “Receive into Inventory” for the Remote Warehouse in the Receive Case, it works fine, but obviously, the parts arrived in the picking inventory location as soon as the shipment is delivered.

The business would prefer it if the parts were first in a sort of transit state as they want the remote warehouse operator (the remote warehouses are typically work vans and the operators are the van drivers and they use IFS MWO Service) to confirm receipt of the delivery (this must happen in the mobile device) before the parts are made available in the remote warehouse.

We cannot use Transport Tasks with move to transit option as the main warehouse absolutely requires the use of “Pick by Choice” which is only available from a shipment (hence Shipment Orders).

We tried to use “Receive into Arrival” in the Receive Case. When the shipment is completed, the parts arrive into the arrival location and they can be moved into the picking location with the “Move into Stock” functionality. Doing so Closes the Shipment Order, however, I haven’t found a way to perform this action in the Mobile Device.

It is also not possible to see the stock currently present in the arrival locations in MWO, as it seems the initialization/synchronization is set to only retrieve data from picking locations, unless the warehouse is recorded as a Service Location from a Request Task.

We don’t use Service Locations as the location on the task is the address where the work will take place but is NOT the place where the parts are shipped (they are shipped to a PO box close by to where the remote warehouse operator lives, which they visit every day to grab the parts we send them and put them in their vans).

In summary, we are trying to achieve the following:

• Use shipment orders to replenish remote warehouses based on assortments
• The shipment delivery must be confirmed before the parts are made available in the target inventory location
• The delivery confirmation must be able to be done through MWO in the mobile device

Any assistance on potential functionality we have missed or workarounds would be greatly appreciated.
