Hi all,

I noticed that the Heavy Cleanup job is taking over 10 hours in our IFS10 environment - so despite it starting just after midnight, it will still be running when we start in the mornings.

What is a “normal” execution time for this job? And is there anything we can look at to have this improved?

Hello @Arend
For us it takes around 30-40 minutes. We run it every night.
We follow this recommended schedule according to IFS documenation.

Heavy Cleanup Heavy cleanup remove data from Print Jobs, Archived Print Jobs, History log data, Scheduled Tasks and Event messages. Once a night Scheduled upon installation
Light Cleanup Light cleanup removes data from Background Jobs, Foundation1 Session information and replicates IAL objects. Every tenth minute Scheduled upon installation

Hi,

Is this usual for every day? Probably something is waiting while running and hence take that long.

Try to schedule in a different time or in a different queue and see?

Best Regards,

Wasana

Hi all,

Further investigations has shown, that most of this time is spend on “Select Log_ID from History_Log_Tab, where Table_Name = B2 and Time_Stamp < B1.

I guess this is the auto clean-up of the history log. Any suggestions on how to improve this?
