I noticed that the Heavy Cleanup job is taking over 10 hours in our IFS10 environment - so despite it starting just after midnight, it will still be running when we start in the mornings.
What is a “normal” execution time for this job? And is there anything we can look at to have this improved?

For us it takes around 30-40 minutes. We run it every night.
We follow this recommended schedule according to IFS documenation.
| Heavy Cleanup | Heavy cleanup remove data from Print Jobs, Archived Print Jobs, History log data, Scheduled Tasks and Event messages. | Once a night | Scheduled upon installation |
| Light Cleanup | Light cleanup removes data from Background Jobs, Foundation1 Session information and replicates IAL objects. | Every tenth minute | Scheduled upon installation |

Is this usual for every day? Probably something is waiting while running and hence take that long.
Try to schedule in a different time or in a different queue and see?

Hi all,
Further investigations has shown, that most of this time is spend on “Select Log_ID from History_Log_Tab, where Table_Name = B2 and Time_Stamp < B1.
I guess this is the auto clean-up of the history log. Any suggestions on how to improve this?
