Transfer Fixed Asset - Error

When trying to “Create Transactions” from the Transfer Object - Progress screen, we are getting the following error:  I have looked at the FA Books of both companies in question & don’t see any difference:

How can a user increase the number of favorite in Aurena after getting to the max limit?

An Aurena user wants to know if is possible to increase the number favorite to accommodate a new favorite a user intend to add after getting to max limit allowed?

Remove a serial number from IFS

Is it possible to kill a serial number in IFS? (Remove it from IFS completely) Only the top level manufactured part number is serialized in our system. (Lot/Batch tracking is not on, and no components used in the product structure are serialized) The serial number was built through a shop order. We have capabilities to scrap the unit or rename the unit, but we’d like to remove it from IFS completely.

MPR has less number of lines than PR & PO

Hi All,There is a Maintenance Purchase Requisition with status Closed including 13 lines. (same part, same qty with different task numbers)  The linked Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders has 36 lines relevant to this MPR. The system does not allow to delete lines from MPR after creating the PO & also before creating the PO, if you delete a line from MPR same line will be deleted from the PR. In such instances, how can these scenarios be created within the IFS? Is this being a bug in the 22R2? Appreciate your thoughts. Thanks.

Bank Payments - Import and upload

Looking to upload CHAPS/Faster Payments etc from IFS into our bank using their import templates. Does IFS have standard/compatible output for these?  Or how can I get IFS to output files in desired layout to import to bank?

Make reporting against Task Steps mandatory on mWO

Hi all, Just wondering if there is a way that we can make it mandatory to report the task steps in the mWO (Service Enginerr) app in Cloud? Currently if there are task steps in the task, the mWO users can optionally mark as done or not done, but they can simply ignore and move on. Is there a way that we can make it mandatory to visit and update the details? TIA

Customer connect reader kafka

We need to have ifs app9 upd17 application talk to KAFKA broker. For that we developed custom connect reader following the documentation ‘How to develop and deploy a Transport Connector Reader’.  everything was carried out according to the documentation but after the connect server is restarted our custom connect reader is not getting started. Cant see anything on the log files, not even error message.  Has anybody experience this issue? Did you follow anything other than what is given in the documentation?

Cloud-Hosted 23R2 alternative means to connect our Excel Metric spreadsheets (instead of On-premise External Data/ODBC Database)?

We have been running IFS for 20+ years and are currently upgrading from IFSAPPS9 to a Cloud-hosted, 23R2 environment. We have developed many external MS Access dB’s and Excel spread sheets linked directly to the IFSAPPS9 dB via the “New Data Source/Form other Sources/ODBC Database”.  What is the “Cloud” means of connecting the Cloud dB to our Key Business Metrics Spreadsheets and MS Access applications?Excel ODBC Connect to External DataExternal Data Source connection to IFS Cloud…???

Custom table as Field on page

Hi! So let me explain my problem. I want to be able to register a gender on person. Normally I would do this by configuring a Entity field on the PersonInfo view. However, in IFS Cloud this view is blocked for custom entities so I've thought the following work around:I've made a complete new Custom Entity called CPersonGender with 2 fields Person_ID - Persistent -  String(100) Gender - Persistent - Enumeration I created a custom projection on Personhandling and linked this Entity to the Person Added the Entity on the page as a group Once I configure the binding however, the drop down list for Gender is unusable since no record is linked to the person_ID yet. How can I make the group Create a record if no record is present yet?

New file type - e-sign required and error message

Hi,I use IFS Cloud (Application service update: 23.2.1).I create a new file type in the EDM basic data. This is for the .stp Extension (3D Files from CAD)Then I use this new file type when creating a new document revision. When I try to approve the revision, I have this message :“The number of PDF files and/or the combination of view and original files on this document is invalid for PDF signature and certification. If you are an end-user, talk to your system administrator. If you are calling this API from code, check your data or consider using the more specific method to sign your PDF file.”This file type is not PDF so I don’t want (and I can’t) use e-sign for this file.I use several document class to test and the result is the same.If I use a already created file type, this OK, I can validate it without any problems. Does somebody have any ideas about this issue ?Thanks for your feedback if you have same issue.Nicolas.

Export to CSV

Hi When I export data from IFS transaction “GL balance analysis” to CSV, the amount on 1 of our GL accounts is empty (empty cell) in the download. If I check IFS, there is an amount on that GL account (as I expect). I have it only for 1 account but in different companies.IFS print screen: CSV/Excel dump print screen:  My colleagues do not have this issue.How is this possible? And how to solve? Thank you.

Fixed Asset transfer

Some fixed assets need to be transferred from one company to another company. But it is not possible to transfer because the object ID is the same in two companies. Shows the following  error. How to solve it ?Advance thanks for solving the problem.

Creating a file reader using the File Selector functionality in Aurena

Hi AllAs most of you might already know, there is a feature in Aurena to upload external files through a command button. Upgrade concerns for Business Reporter - APP10 to Cloud

Hey All,I have a concern raised from a customer with regards to upgrading Business Reporters from APPS10 to Cloud. What implication is there for any reports that have been developed for Apps10 Aurena as and when we decide to upgrade to IFS Cloud? Does BR still exist? Will the reports just continue to work? Or will they need to be adjusted, or worse redeveloped, to work with IFS Cloud?I know we could run the Business Reporter Upgrade Utility to validate the reports but are there anything additional which we need to consider on above concerns? Best Regards, Thushila

Register direct delivery for serialized parts

Good afternoon; I have a client who performs a good number of direct deliveries for which they need to generate a serial object.  Is there a workaround for the inability to record part serial numbers during the register direct delivery process?  Is this on the development list to be corrected?   Thank you!

How can i filter the Activity in SLA & Out of SLA

Hi,How can i easily filter the planned task with SLA & Out of SLA in the Gantt.Suppose i have planned 100 Jobs in FT queue, Out of which i may be having 40 INSLA & 60 Out of SLA.By applying filter in want to view INSLA Tasks in Gantt & Another filter it should show out of SLA in FT gantt.. Can you please let me know the selection in FiltersRegards,Shiyaz

M105 - Preaccounting Shop Order

According to business requirements, it is asked to capture the code part “Product Modules” during the shop order repair process, encompassing repair costs, including the issuance of raw materials to the shop order or labour and operational costs. To address this, I have configured the posting control setup as follows, mandating pre-posting at the shop order level. During testing, it was observed that the system did not prevent the release of shop orders without pre-posting. Consequently, I manually inserted the pre posting value and proceeded. And financial transactions captured the code part.Question : Why system is not stopping or generating error if mandatory pre-posting is set? How can we capture a error for user stating “please enter Pre-posting”?Additionally, we also attempted an alternative approach by employing T50 pre-accounting Work Order. However, the pre-posting details from the Work Order were not flowing to the Shop Order. Please advise. Thanks,CA Garima S

FSM Mobile app not initializing

Hello Everyone,All of a sudden, FSM Mobile test  app is not initializing Able to access the URL download the apk file and after entering username and password it logs in but never completes the initialization processIt is  also creating zip file in mobiledb folder,But after that its not completing the initialization process  Thank you  in advance

MWO - My stock not showing all parts

Hi, I have created a refill putaway zone remote warehouse which I have attached to my user. I have then created my remote warehouse assortment which creates my Purchase Req. When I convert this to a PO I see that it has a destination warehouse which matches my users remote warehouse. Why do I then have the following problems:I see all PO’s in that site, it is not specific to my users remote warehouse Only certain parts appear in my stock when receiving it in. I can see I have multiple parts in stock in IFS but not in MWO.Thanks,George.

Client Session date/time source

Where does the session time come from? Is it DB server time? Or VM where kubernetes is installed? We’re trying to figure out how to get it to show correct time according to the time zone we are in. It seems to not be coming from DB server.

Service Notes - Work Task and MWO

We are investigating the use of Service notes within IFS Cloud 23R2 as a means for an engineer to provide notes on MWO Service on their devices and for this then to be sync back to the work task for the back office team to review. The IFS Cloud documentation states the following:Add Service NotesExplanationUse this activity to add a new Service Note. Notes can be created for the following entities in IFS Cloud:Request Work Task Service Object Location Request Contract Request Quotation However we cannot see the option to use this within Work Task screen.Can someone provide guidance as to whether this functionality is available on Work Task and if so, how we enable it?Thanks
