Is there a method to delete an old/ invalid Change Request Type in status “Approved”?
I have a case where some of the Change Type Requests were approved by error.

Thank you in advance!

@ArcAleksS Change Requests in Active status can be cancelled in PDM. However when there is a connected Change Order it is not possible to cancel the Change Request. If there is a CO connected, remove the Change Order in Associate Change Order section and then try cancelling the CR.

Hope this works !

Hello @Buddhika Kurera,
Thank you for your reply.

In fact, my question concerns the page “Change Request Type”. It’s a BDR that allows to create the templates with a defined approval flow. This template can be used in the Change Request to transfer automatically defined approval steps. See the exemple below:

The approval should be done directly in the CR, but in my case the approval step was performed in the template by mistake (as showed in the screenshot). After this, the template cannot be reused.

When I try to delete the CRT line I have this error:

When I try to detach the approved step I have this error:

Could you please help with this issue?

Thank you in advance!

This would require a data repair, if that is possible.

Something to consider - instead of having the approval steps on the CRT, could you have a workflow that attaches a specific Approval Template to the CR when a CR of Type ‘X’ is created? Maintenance would then be at the Approval Template (standard) and not at the CRT.

Hello @matt.watters, thank you for your message!

What is exactly a data repair?

Regarding your second point, unfortunatelly I think we cannot change this flow now.

@ArcAleksS a data repair would be done by a script from IFS (through a support case) that would update the status of any approval steps connected to a Change Request Type from Approved to, I believe, NULL.
