Default Register Time for Employees

When I need the default value for Approve Operation - Register Time for Employees

Register Time for Employees

The settings for Register Time for Employees

Good evening

I have a question about this check mark that I have set by default. However, when I punch in time for an operation but no quantity, the field returns to no. You have to set it to yes so that the employer can punch in again.

Can you tell me if I'm missing a setting, please?

there's a button on yes when there's a quantity to declare

on the other hand, if I put 0 in quantity because my customer only wants to clock time because he hasn't finished 1 part, I have to manually think about putting the field to yes.

it's not normal it should go up in auto?

Thank you for your help

Hi @InfTomaPr

I've just added MO preparation time and I see that if I put 0 in quantity the button is always yes.

I wouldn't be able to explain this behaviour

Could you help me?

In this example, you have setup time to report which is not dependent on the quantity why the Report Time is default enabled. And since you also have set Register Time for Employees to be default enabled, it is enabled as well so that the 0.5h of labor setup is registered on the employee.

Hi @Björn Hultgren

So if I understand correctly, if I don't set the MO prep time, I'll never have the default button set to yes. I'll have to set it to yes every time when they only point to time.

Thanks for your help

@audreyS I’m sorry but I don’t understand what you mean with “MO prep time”.

@Björn Hultgren  Sorry Labor setup to report if I don't put time in my range and if I enter 0 in quantity but just time, I won't have the yes button Register Time for Employees

@audreyS I tested the following:

  • My user has enabled the Default Register Time for Employees on the Shop Floor Reporting User Settings per Site page.
  • My shop order has 0.5h of planned labor setup time and a labor tune factor of 0.5h per unit.

Now I select the operation on the Shop Floor Workbench page and enter 0 as the Qty to Report

This will default the Labor Setup to Report to 0.5, and it will default enabled the Register Time for Employees toggle.

I believe this is the correct behavior. Did you get a different result, or did I misunderstand the scenario?

Yes, I think that's standard behavior,

but delete Labor Setup to Report in your routing and you point to 0 in quantity, look at the Default Register Time for Employees button will default to No

as in my example below

@audreyS How do you get 5 in the Labor Report field when you enter 0 as the Qty to Report? Normally that value defaults to 0 since you don’t report any quantity. It is only if the Factor Unit is set to Hours on the operation it would default to a value if you do not enter any quantity to report I think.

@Björn Hultgren

My example:

I modified my operation over time Labor Setup to Report

we see that the button is yes by default because there is time on Labor Setup to Report

I modify my operation and I put no time in Labor Setup to Report

if i point a quantity it's ok i have my button on yes by default

On the other hand, I don't declare the quantity of time I have spent, which is set to no by default.

I understand this is the IFS standard

@audreyS I still cannot recreate the last step. For me the toggle is enabled by default if there’s labor time to report. Regardless of whether it is setup and/or runtime. So if the system does not behave like that for you, you can consider reporting a support ticket.

@Björn Hultgren

Ok I will make a ticket thank you very much for your help !!
