IFS Solutions

Has anyone used Equity Minority or Proportional Method with Group Consolidation?  If so, can you give me an idea about how this works?  Are there any posting controls that need setup, how the accounting works for each of these methods?  Any help is appreciated.  We are currently in IFSAPP10 UPD21.

how does the document approval process works in IFS? FSE attached a document & started approval which was set as per approval template. In this , manager approves the approval step & then only FSE can approve the document. So is it possible that FSE does not need to approve once approved by manager?

Hi all,We have a question regarding task availability. We use FSM and PSO, where tasks are created in FSM and then sent to PSO.Currently, we send tasks with the following fields separated by 24 hours (indicating 24 hours of availability for each task):<earliest_start_dttm><latest_start_dttm> However, when the task arrives in PSO, the availability in the Availability tab always appears different times, regardless of the time range we set.Could you please guide us on how to configure task availability in FSM? Alternatively, is there a specific FSM table that corresponds to task availability in PSO?Thank you!

Hi all, Can someone tell me what the ‘Remaining Planned Hours’ in Project Resource Planning is?My expectation is that the remaining planned hours = Planned Hours -/- Employee Allocated Hours.So far it looks like it is the same as Planned Hours.Thanks, Robert

Hi,If I’m not mistaken, pPreviously PSO was only installed on premise.Is it possible to install PSO in SaaS,  the hosting should manager by the current hosting provider of the customer  (not in IFS Cloud)The installation is stand alone, not with IFS cloud.Thanks and Regards 

Hi Folks  I was wondering if any knows a way to see the resource utilization lets say for 3 months. When in PSO-Analysis tab. It seems like I can get statistics but it doesn't have any date and it looks like it appears to a couple days worth of data but there are no dates I would like to see the Resource utilization for a metric but I can’t see to get trustworthy data. I tried to use the Archive but it gives me a ton of info but not the utilization percentages.  PSO Work Bench 6  

In EAM Solution for IFS Cloud 24R2, one of our customer is looking for Multi Company Work Order Execution Solution. Work order will be created in company A and work task will be created under same or different company site combination. Financials will on the individual task site and their posting control set ups based on site. Below is how requirement looks like - Work Order No: 55 Company A - Site A1   Work Task No: 122 Company A - Site A1 Resources - Person, Material and Tools @ Site A1 will be used Work Task No: 123 Company A - Site A2 Resources - Person, Material and Tools @ Site A2 will be used Work Task No: 124 Company B - Site B2 Resources - Person, Material and Tools @ Site B2 will be used  Thanks in advance for your reply.

We are experiencing performance issues with job cost calculation. We would be interested to know if we are unique in having the Job Cost Calculation take hours to process 20,000 - 30,000 transactions and if RnD could consider addressing the issue identified with the specific query described below. Detailed logging in a development environment has pin-pointed that half the time taken by the scheduled job opening this cursor:Job_Cost_Calculation_Util_API.Get_Emp_Std_Agreements___"get_rec"This cursor joins to 2 views (rate_agreement_detail_uiv and job_transaction_parameter_uiv) which both do expensive PIVOT WITHIN GROUP operations pivoting data from child parameter tables. Then this query takes the results of those pivoted views and tries to join to them in a complex filter. The job_transaction_parameter_uiv join is efficient because it uses transaction_id directly pushing the predicate into the view. However, the rate_agreement_detail_uiv join does full table scans to create a data set o

I was wondering if anyone in this community is informed about the IFS vision for the roadmap regarding the old Silverlight interface of PSO? My best guess is that it will completly disappear, because Microsoft no longer supports Silverlight.If thats the case, then I wonder what will happen with the Automatic Planning feature which the Silverlight client has but the new UI does not have. At least not yet. Is it also coming to the new UI of PSO?The features ‘Rules’ and ‘Rule Collections’ are allready available in the new UI, which were constraints for the Automatic Planning feature. However in the last Relase Enhancements document, it is said that for example the 'Requirements’ feature will not be implemented in the new UI, which could also be defined as contraints for the Automatic Planning feature. Where in IFS would I go to modify how shop orders get released so that I can force a “Customer Owned” Ownership on certain parts? Is this even possible?We have an issue where when the shop order gets released the parts from below get wrongly marked as Company Owned and they need to be manually changed to Customer Owned.

Error: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host while fetching General Ledger report. I am getting this error after 15 mins of transaction. Checked the JTA configuration. <Timeout Seconds> = 36000s, <Abandon Timeout Seconds> = 900s. I changed <Abandon Timeout Seconds> value to 1200s as well still it gave error after 900s.

HiWe are currently connecting end user permission sets directly to users.We are planning to change that into connecting the permission sets to User Group so that users will get indirect Access instead. We think this would be a more smooth solution and our configuration context mappings are already done against user Groups (USERGROUP). However, we find that it is possible to delete a User Group even if it has users or permission sets connected to it. We find that a bit disturbing as it could potentially remove permissions from a thousand users in one small mistake.We can probably fix this by removing permissions to delete User Groups, but we would like to get some views on wetter it is a good idea to connect permission set to User Group instead of direcly to the users? Also views on if it would be a good idea for improvement to not do a delete cascade, but check restrictions when removing a user group and not allow removal if users or permission sets are connected?(We are currently on I

Hi, We have a new user and have set them up to view posting proposals but the multi company radial button doesn’t appear to be working.The user can get data in each individual company but the multi company doesn’t work.The user is configured in both Invoice Posting Authoriser and Invoice Payment Authoriser. They are configured as a super user and can see the data individually.I’ve confirmed it’s not a permission set issue but I can’t track down what alternative setting would cause this. ThanksHelen

Good day.In the Graphical Position Structure we have a Manager with several Employees reporting to him.  In the Employee files of his subordinates, some Employee Files show him as the Supervisor, others not.  All the reporting Employees, on the Graphical Position Structure, show his Position as their Parent Position.  Anyone that can help with the reason why he shows as the Supervisor for only some of his reporting Employees?Thank you.Anya

When the third party generates the response file for an OUT file, an additional ‘.res’ file is also created, which they have no control over. This file is being read by the IFS application without any routing rule. Is there any way to ignore this in IFS Cloud? In IFS CloudMost customers have a valid email in Communication Method. Some don’t.When printing Reminder, a report rule is set up to send the reminder by email to this customer. But for the other customer, how can i set up a report rule to print the reminder only for customer without email?

Dear All, when customer Orders go to Blocked state the informations are reachable via Blocked Info Button. We want to have a custom Tab where we can see the Blocked information and even edit a Custom field. The Blocked Info is in the same Entity - anyway we do not fiond a way to have this in a list on a new Tab. I created already a new List and gave the informations to it but then it shows me all Blocked informations. My Problem is the binding and Property. Can anybody help? Thanks in advance Stefan
