Hello,We are new IFS users, just started a month ago. Our sales is struggling how to have realistic lead time on sales quotations. How other users have solved this? We work in multisite environment - we have two manufacturing sites, which both store semifnished and finished parts (sales parts), and one warehousing site that just store sales parts. In addition we have sales offices. We have both make-to-order and make-to stock parts.They can use capability check in some cases but there are limitations.According to IFS documentation: ”To run capability check from Customer Order or Sales Quotation, the supply code must be Shop Order, DOP Order, Invent Order, Int Purch Trans or Int Purch Dir.If the supply code is Int Purch Trans or Int Purch Dir, then the sourcing option on the sales part at the supply site must be Shop Order, Inventory Order or DOP Order, and for sourcing option Shop Order the part must be of part type Manufactured.” Availability check is not possible on sales quotation.

Hi Experts,Is there a way to export multiple ACPs together? Hello together,I have the following scenario:Create Project (Cloud) Setup Approval Process (2 approvals, 1st approval my user and 2nd approval another Group) When created the project and I approved (1st step), an automatic approval E-Mail should be sent to the relevant Group (by Group ID, possibly by Custom Event → E-Mail) One of the members can either approve or reject the project Approval By approve of a member of the group, the project should be automatically approved If rejected, nothing happensAnybody experienced with this?Thx a ton, Markus

Hello,I’m working on IFS 24r1, on a IFS 8 > IFS Cloud migration project.On v8, we have a custom field on Product structure components list which tell us the type of component : purchased, manufactured …With the Product Structure rework, this CF are not available anymore.I need to add it, because the bom type reefers to the prodstructure, so the manufactured part, so I got wrong value as you can see, on the component part line, bom type display manufacturing but the component part is a material raw one, purchased, without any product structure.My issue is I’m not able to recover the entity where I need to add my custom field to read the InventoryPart TypeCode which is the info we want to display here on this list.If anyone knows, thank you 🕵Have a good day

We have noticed when building assistants there are some scenarios where pressing ‘enter’ will trigger the finish command and other functionally identical scenarios we have to press ‘enter’ twice to trigger the finish command. In the twice key press scenario, simply opening the debug console will allow this scenario to execute as intended. I want to know if there is any way to identify why this is happening. The interplay between a validate command completion and when the finish command is executed is where we have noticed this inconsistency. Any help or shared experience would be very much appreciated.​@IFS Community ​@IFS Elite Solution Experts

If a repair shop order is created from component repair order is there any way in IFS to attach the shop order material to project inventory supply type? After that we want PMRP job to create demand for those materials. IFS does not seem to have anyway to convert consumed materials to Project Inventory.

Hi Community, We found to configure it, all it works but we didn’t find what minimum permissions sets are requiere to be able to validate a purchase order on notify me. We try with MOBILE_APP_RUNTIME and a specific permission including purchase order projections but it diddn’t work. Do you have an solution or an idea ?Regards, Christophe

I have connected technical characteristics to work task (jttask). The Technical Class that is connected to the functional object is not showing up. Is there a way to make sure the I can see the Tech attributes on the work task?

Hello, I have noticed system behavior that I am not able to correct. We use the PO Change Order function in IFS. If a PO is in a Released status, you cannot connect a Project Activity, the system indicates you must use a Change Order. However, when you create one, there is no location on the Change Order to attach the project connection. I do not understand this design. Is there a way to update a PO and connect a project when the PO is in a Released status? As of now, the only workaround I have found is to cancel the PO and recreate it in a Planned state. We are using Apps 10 UPD 12. Any guidance would be appreciated.

BR Reports refuse to be rendered as a PDF although these settings were done:  There was an issue with PDFs which should have been resolved by BR version 23.2.0 (EIZBR-2617), but I am using version 24.1.1 in this case and still I am getting would-be PDFs as ordinary Excel workbooks.

For one of our customers who is still using IFS Application 10 UPD25, we need to install new IFS environments with new public certificates (rehosting on a new domain).The problem we are encountering is that certification authorities no longer apply code signing (EKU 1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.3) to SSL certificates but propose a separate key via HSM or Token.The customer refuses to use a self-signed certificate.Has anyone else encountered this type of problem? Any ideas?  Thanks for all support

Hello,In 25R1 MWO, when we create a new Request Quotation, it only allows us to capture the basic information such as Object, Service Catalog and Customer. The same flow is mentioned in the MWO Demystified (25R1) document as well. Do we have a flow for including the materials and expense line items in mobile while creating a request quotation?When we look at the page designer, there are some assistants and screens linked with adding expenses and materials to Service Quotation and not Request Quotation. Will these work only for Service Quotation? If so, what would be the process flow for Request Quotation?Any inputs on the above would be appreciated. Thank you. 

We are running into issues running the final year end process where the system is claiming assets don’t equal liabilities.  We have run GL Balance Analysis showing that they do in fact balance:I know that in some other topics they have mentioned to clear revenue/costs before running final year end.  Looking at the process flow this isn’t a required step:  What could we be missing?  This is happening in a lot of companies where we brought over opening balance sheet and retained earnings balances mid year.  

Has anyone used IFS Cloud with Perplexity Comet assistant? I would like to hear the feedback :)My personal experience is that it can do basic tasks like create a new record, update, understand error messages (and actually fix missing data due to validation errors!)Search function does not work properly specially for enumerations since the field names are dynamically generated.What’s your experience?

Service management > Installed base> Service object  When an inventory part set as Serial maintenance aware, it is available in Service object, where the operational status is set as Non Applicable. Even after issuing that part from the request work task, and added the location, it is not possible to change the status In operation.  there is an option in Make maintenance aware, but there is no edit option to change the place serial in facility toggle. 

Hi, In IFS Cloud you are given the option to extend the Address Line characters. However, when you make the change, it doesn’t change the length of Address Line 1 or Address Line 2. Address Line 3-6 get updated accordingly. Does anyone know why this is the case or is it an oversight?What workarounds are there? Thanks

Hi, Is there anyone has experience with customers’ LTU licenses for IFS Cloud? Based on IFS standard documentation, to enable user consume LTU license, only by connecting the users to LTU permission sets. But when customer purchase LTU license on IFS cloud, there is no LTU permission set available to chose from. Where could customer / partner get the LTU license for IFS cloud? and how to enable it when available? Thanks, Sutoto

All,when I want to copy a Work Task, I have to option to select all checkboxes, this option is not available when I want to copy a PM Action or a Work Task Template.  Are there any ideas to implement the option ‘Select All’ for other copy functions?Is there a way to managed the default values in the copy option? Most of the time the user want tpo copy all and now none of the options are selected.Thanks in advance,Robert Kool
