HI,

I have entered a value in the MRP Spare Part Forecast to create demand for the part. However, when I try to enter a Customer Order with a quantity higher than the forecast quantity, the system does not allow me to save the line. What is the functionality of this validation, and is there a way to bypass it without modification?

IFS needs to put this on the Idea Wall.

The IFS business logic stops Customer Order entry without regard to quantity on-hand. Forecast Quantities are a Supply Chain tool. Hercules resolved it in Apps 7, Apps 9, and IFS Cloud with software modification.

Hi,

Have you gotten past this error? We are on Cloud 25.1.5 and getting the above and doesn’t make sense. There is plenty of parts in stock and yet, it won’t allow to create a CO line. TIA

Hi David,

Do you recall what was IFS’s explanation to this? Especially if it has been there since app7? Like you mentioned, I can’t understand why the CO line is not allowed to be entered especially when there is plenty of parts in stock. Would you mind sharing how you got around it? Thanks
