Restrict user setting On Hold in Work Task

Hi!IFS10 Upd 8:In window work task: there is two ways of setting the task to On hold.I want to restrict from setting status to On hold in this window since you dont need to enter a reason for On hold here (reported to IFS). In window Work TaskS you need to enter a reason.I dont want to use permission set here, i want to hide it in the profile.I have unchecked this one: In the window it is now gone which is good. But there is even second way of setting it to onhold.If you right click in the checkbox called “On hold” you get these alternatives: Anyone know how to get rid of this backdoor?/Awe

Custom LoV on Timeclock

I’ve created a new LoV using SQL Developer for use on our timeclock Start Production screen>Op ID field. I copied the LoV that was already assigned to that field and changed two of the fields to make the view more useful to our employees, and I matched the grants to the original view as well. I can see the LoV in the SQL Query Tool, and I can view all the data (which appears to be pulling correctly), but when I try to use it on the time clock, the list is completely empty with no error or indication of why.Has anyone else had this experience? Any input would be appreciated. Thank you!

IFS_print_agent with clientsecret fails authentication

I’ve checked, and also recreated the client secret, but can’t get past this error. Are these credentials stored somewhere other than the IAM and the print agent config?Thanks. Capture exception message but continue

I have written a procedure to finish work orders, however if there is an error when calling the api to close I want it to log the problem but continue with the rest of orders. Report Rule Variable PrintedBy

Hiwe are trying to write a report rule that send email only when report is printed by either Printer ID = NoPrintout or Printed by IFSADMIN. (I made sure syntax/case is correct from logical printers for printer id)Report rule is not recognizing this condition. if i remove below highlighted condition, report rule evaluated to be true and email fire. I tried on both variables PrinterId and PrintedBy - same result. Can someone let me know how to provide correct value for these variables.

What would cause the error: Route departure date is not within current calendar? What calendar are they refferred to? When I try to create a new customer order I know it is using the route Id for the customer to calculate theWanted delivery date. Does this error mean I need to activate a calendar?

Part Characterist IFS Cloud

We are in the process of upgrading to IFS Cloud from Apps 9. I have a custom lu tied to the Part Characteristic in Apps 9 and see that these are individual pages now. Is there a way to add a new page for the “P-Type Basic Data” tab under the Discrete Characteristic in the attached screen shot (cloud_part_characteristic.png). There isn’t really an available page that this would belong to.

IFS8 on Windows Server 2016 or later

HiI know that IFS 8 is not supported on Windows Server 2016 or later but did anyone actually tried to install it on that platform?We have IFS8 installation that needs to run for few more years as archive only (not in active use) and IT does not want to manage Windows 2012 any more. Upgrade to IFS 10 or IFS Cloud is not feasible. Neno

Need information on CUSTOMER_ORDER_API.START_RELEASE_BLOCKED

Hello, Currently, I am building automation for blocked customer orders to get automatically unblocked when a payment is made to an account and their available credit >= blocked customer order cost. Since I cannot automate this via a workflow due to the commit limitation for customer order flow that prevents a rollback, I am attempting to accomplish this via an event action. Can someone please shed some light on the CUSTOMER_ORDER_API.START_RELEASE_BLOCKED call? I see that in the create statement for the procedure that there is a “release_from_credit_check_” variable which I need help with finding what value this is supposed to represent. Is this a boolean value? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Bryan

Logs for Rest Call Custom events

Hi Is there a place/page/table to see logs for REST call custom event actions? We are trying to create one to create an event-based integration to another system, but every time the event is fired nothing will happen. We have confirmed with other event actions that our event is triggering, but our rest call seemingly doesn't hit. No errors on screen, nothing in application messages.Is there somewhere else that we should be looking? I have tried with Basic Auth and Bearer, we have tried multiple different Rest calls that we can get to work in Postman and in dotNet.We are on 10.8Best regards

Visibility of columns in list page for IFS Cloud

Please check the following column visibility experiment for the standard list page “/page/CustomerOrders/List” and maybe you can help me answer the questions I asked at the end of the post.When I open the page in table view, not all columns are visible by default:As an IFSAPP, I have set the B2bOrder attribute to “Column Visible”, “Default To Previous” and “Visible”, but it is still not visible in the table view by default to IFSAPP and other users - see below. Refresh test while maintaining passwords

Using 23r1 I’m attempting to refresh my test instance. We are using the internal password keycloak system as many of our users don’t have email etc. When I refresh test by doing a data pump export/import we have to reset everyone’s password. Is there a way to refresh the data in a test environment without losing the passwords?

All I’m looking to amend our shipment labels and have seen that in the base data for the above report view that there is a field named HANDLING_UNIT_ID_PREFIX and PACKAGE_UNIT_ID_PREFIX, in all my current data the field is NULL, does anyone know where in the UX that this data is pulled from as being able to add a prefix for a few specific customers would be very helpful.

How to create a GS1 barcode for a report layout?

GS1 by GDSN is a standard for barcodes, but there is comprehensive logic involved to create such a barcode (and then use on for example a Delivery Note). Does IFS have any business logic build in to create a GS1 barcode or do we need to develop the code behind it ourselves?

How to cancel inter-site customer order

I have inter-site orders where the purchase order has been cancelled as required but the customer order has not been cancelled first. When we now go to cancel the customer order it does not allow as i get the error message:Is there a way to cancel the customer order down. I thought i could change status of PO and then cancel order line and customer order before cancelling PO but i can not change anything on the PO as it is cancelled.Kind RegardsMick

Overtake in Client and projections, why can't we do $SEARCH and $REPLACE?

Currently the soft overtakes using $SEARCH and $REPLACE is only supported in the PLSQL, PLSVC and VIEWs files.Modifying client/projection core logic therefore requires full overtake even though it can be done using a simple search and replace.In my opinion, this should be available for client, projection and fragments so developers could minimize big overtakes.Creating this as a conversation before submitting as an idea to get other developer opinion since for us, this has beginning to become a problem and we want to avoid customizations with overtakes to maintain evergreen as much as possible.I’m glad to hear others’ opinion on this and the experience so far with cloud developments.
