What is the significance of IFS specialization certification? Do we get any new features or product update after certification.

Hi @Tierajeng , which specific type of certification are you referring to? Could you kindly elaborate?

Taking a Wild guess here but would believe it is the IFS academy certifications that is referred to.

HI @Tierajeng , the IFS certification is targeted towards Consultants, i.e. individuals busy with implementing and managing our software. Consultants can be employed by partners, customers and of course by IFS as well. With the certification a Consultant can prove to have the required IFS knowledge and skills in the respective field (i.e. IFS Apps Manufacturing).

For partners the number of certified consultants is also one of the building blocks deciding the partner tier they fit into.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for your topic!  Based on this thread a new knowledge base article is available https://community.ifs.com/xavier-knowledgebase-101/what-kinds-of-ifs-training-courses-and-certifications-are-available-for-customer-and-partners-2256

This is currently reserved for IFS Partners for some reason while SAP does not restrict it.

WHY???

WHY???

We have been evolving the training programs dramatically over the last year and this has allowed us to offer far more role-based training with more to come.  @Brijesh410 as per the information provided in the KB article the IFS Certified Specialist comes in three role-based tracks; consultants, developers and technicians, therefore, contrary to your statement, it is not restricted, in fact by completing the track most appropriate to your role you have the opportunity to super-charge any existing skills you have.  Additionally, the wide range of online learning courses now means you can expand even further with your IFS specialisms.

IFS makes features or product updates are also open to all - you don’t need to be certified to get them and we are working on making them more easily accessible.  Watch Community for more updates about this topic and thanks for posting!

I have emails from IFS officials that its not available for consultants outside partner network. IFS academy may be available but i am not sure it gives certification as in the case of Partner network.

However please let me know whom to contact if this is been provided for customer side consultants as well.

Hi again, it may have been a question of timing.  Perhaps if you could send me a direct message with your contact details I can find out more for you?
