Framework & Experience (Infrastructure, Cloud, Integration, Dev Tools)

How would a customer create a new custom webapp similar to the WAR files that APPSRV and GISINT use for mapping? Do you review customer requests on BitBucket, or is that only for internal use? Are the README files still valid for Cloud where our customer Git repo is hosted in Azure? (Would my webapp become available for every customer?) Please assume I have development experience outside of this framework.

Is there Cost history details for Shop Orders? Can I export all cost bucket detail for shop orders from the last 2 years? Where is the data stored? I need the cost data for all shop orders.

I want to enter data through postman in one of our customer’s test environment. I tried connecting to the environment using Basic Auth as Authentication type, but it’s giving an error. How can I connect postman to this environment? Is there a different Authentication type that I can use?Following is in the API Documentation. This is a 25R1 environmet.

Hello,We are currently revising the permission sets. We now have over 850 functional roles and numerous user roles (a total of over 1,097 permission sets). The two QuickReports titled “Permission Set Grants Reports” are no longer functioning as intended. They are no longer returning any data. We need these reports for the audit. These two QuickReports are running on the IFS-MIG as intended. However, we now have 256 permission sets there. We use IFS Cloud 25R1 SU 5Best regards,André

Dear developers,I'm having a problem when I create an event action of the SQL type.I want to use general parameters such as:#PERSON_NAME##TODAY#etc.How can I use them in PL/SQL code?‘#PERSON_NAME#’ gives me #PERSON_NAME#‘PERSON_NAME#’ gives me &IFS Application Owner Thank you in advance.

When an application messages addresses gets fail status, the framework has a mechanism to create a “one-time scheduled task” to re-execute the same message/address within a short time. At my customer environment, this sometimes fails. It is not the actual “Retry application message” that is the problem. The problem as I understands it, is the logic that catches the exception of the application message and then fails to add the “one-time scheduled task”. The error is shown on the application message with the error text “Next execution date must be between start date and stop date”. The reason to this error is that when the scheduled task is to be created, the logic fails to calculate a correct execution date. There is an logic checking that the execution date must be betweenCode if from Batch_Schedule_API.Insert___-- Check date intervalsIF newrec_.next_execution_date IS NOT NULL THEN IF newrec_.next_execution_date NOT BETWEEN nvl(newrec_.start_date, newrec_.next_execution_date - 1) AN

We have a list of documents attached to customer invoice and when the invoice is printed, we would like to t the invoice and all the attached documents should get printed after the invoice as annexures (in a certain sequence). We have configured reporting rule for this with the following parameters:However, the output is a little random. sometimes the annexures get printed after the invoice, but there are times when half the annexures come before the report, and half of them after. The need is multiple documents getting printed after the report as annexures. Can someone provide help here.

Hi, I ma trying to make a field in (assistant window) on Register Arrivals-Receive mandatory for users. How do I find and configure this field in page designer. Regards OJ

Hi,When I am trying to schedule an IAL in IFS10, the background job is showing error details as “Table not found. Redeploy the scripts manually                    ORA-20105: IalObject.REPTABNOTEXIST”When the same IAL is configured as Live data, then there is no issue in fetching data.Could anyone help in resolving this error? Thanks in advance!

We are running on IFS Cloud 24R1 SU4. I tried setting up a data archive job, archived a customer_order_tab record. WHen trying to use the Restore Archive Data functionality, nothing comes up in the Restore Archive Data to choose. It should populate with the record that is archived. IS this functionality not working in IFS Cloud?

I’m trying to navigate from a lobby element to the Document revisions tab.  I’m getting an error calling out invalid date format.  This is my SQL that works great for the lobby element, but won’t allow navigation to the document revisions. DOC_CLASS in ('NDA SUPPLIER', 'SUCONTRACT', 'SUISO', 'SULIABIL', 'SUPRICE') and OBJSTATE <> (select &AO.DOC_ISSUE_API.FINITE_STATE_ENCODE__('Obsolete') from dual) and (DT_PLANNED_FINISH < trunc(to_date( '#TODAY#', 'YYYY-MM-DD-HH24:MI:SS' ))+ 90 or DT_PLANNED_FINISH is null) Does anyone know how to code this so I can use the navigation?

I am using Cloud 25R1 and Customer Statements of Account are not sending, I think because the “Created From” account is set to IFSPRINT. It should be IFSCONNECT (see screencap). I don’t know how to change that, hopefully someone can help.

I was looking into the new Report Rules – PDF Insert from Document Management functionality, and I’m having some difficulties getting it to work.https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/25r2/050_reporting/000_reporting/251_operational_reporting/011_setup/070_report_rules/?h=report+rule#3_pdf_insert_from_document_management The pre-configuration for IFSWEBREPORT is correct, and the rule itself executes successfully. However, when previewing the resulting PDF, it is not merged with the file I specified. The business requirement is to merge multiple invoices for the same customer into a single PDF directly in IFS.I also have a few questions regarding DocumentNo and KeyRef:Are DocumentNo and KeyRef correlated, or are they independent? If I understand correctly, DocumentNo should allow me to filter in Document Management and identify the PDF I want to attach. Is that correct? Can I use a SELECT/query in DocumentNo to retrieve multiple invoices and merge their PDFs? Should KeyRef point to the current pr

I have enabled one of the additional languages in IFS cloud 24R1 and refreshed the language cache. But when changing the language for one of the users it is giving me below “Language code ”fi“ does not exist in the translation database”Please guide.

Dear experts,is there a way to find out which APIs has a certain projection in IFS Cloud? For example:Projection: personnelfileemployementperiodshandlingList of APIs: ?

Hi,We have an existing IFS Cloud 25.1.5 Remote Deployment environment that was originally installed using the Quick Installation. We are enabling SMB File Storage for the first time by following the official documentation.Current situation:The environment is already running. The ifs-storage namespace already exists. The csi-smb-controller and csi-smb-node pods are already running. SMB File Storage has not been configured before. We have updated ifscloud-values.yaml with the required SMB configuration (ifsStorageSmbCredentials, ifsfilestorage.fssEnabled, fssSmbSharePath, etc.).My question is:After updating ifscloud-values.yaml, what is the supported procedure to apply these configuration changes to the existing environment? Is there an additional deployment or configuration update step required after modifying the file? Thanks!

Hello, We have a requirement where a client is asking us to reprint multiple invoices and delivery notes.Could you please advise if there is a standard way to reprint reports that have already been printed? The reports are not in Document Revision Thank you in advance

When in Expense sheet details to make an edit to lodging the  wizard requires referenced supplier information as mandatory fields and will not accept the edit without it.

We won’t to modify the filename of the attached invoice : But based on IFS documentation this can not be done   Is it possible threw configuration to disable the standard wat of sending email a implementing it with event or somethis else so we can be able to modify the object, body and attached filename please?  We are on aurena 23.1.13 Thank you in advance

Hello, I would like to know if there is a screen like on APPS10 that allows you to see the total number of licenses on an IFS Cloud environment?I know there is the "License metrics" screen on Cloud, but I can't find the information on this screen. Thanks in advance.

Currently the soft overtakes using $SEARCH and $REPLACE is only supported in the  PLSQL, PLSVC and VIEWs files.Modifying client/projection core logic therefore requires full overtake even though it can be done using a simple search and replace. In my opinion, this should be available for client, projection and fragments so developers could minimize big overtakes.Creating this as a conversation before submitting as an idea to get other developer opinion since for us, this has beginning to become a problem and we want to avoid customizations with overtakes to maintain evergreen as much as possible.I’m glad to hear others’ opinion on this and the experience so far with cloud developments. Welcome any thoughts on how we can prevent big overtakes Cheers!Damith

In Applications 10, we use the Solution Manager to create users (Solution Manager/Security/Users/Create User)This offers a nice and neat option with all types accesses visible in one page (Permission sets, companies and sites, business roles for all our modules, e.g. Buyer setup, posting authorization etc.). The Summary tab is an excellent place to verify the result of the user setup. It is easy to verify and amend access, e.g. adding a site and purchase authorization basic data for that user and the new site. If applicable, I can duplicate the setup of a user as the basis for new user and then quickly fix In Cloud, the user creation is just quite painful.(Solution Manager/Users/User)You can only do a very small portion in the User creation page, and it only contains company - not the sites. It seems you have to go module by module to add basic data (much like it was back in IFS Applications 98!). You lack the overview, seems you may have to build a quick report to extract the data int

I have a question about *_PASSWORD = CREATE_RANDOM_PASSWORD in the define.tem file for IFS Cloud.Could you let me know the following? Is the password generated by CREATE_RANDOM_PASSWORD stored anywhere? If yes, where can I find it?Is it possible to view the generated password in plain text after deployment? If not, what is the supported way to reset it?Is there any official documentation that explains this behavior? Also, the public documentation for define.tem looks a bit different from the actual define.tem file in our environment. For example, our file includes variables like CAMUNDA_APPOWNER, IAM_APPOWNER, DBADMPROXY_OWNER, and RAISE_NEW_CUSTOM_OBJ_INVALIDS.If there is an updated official reference for define.tem that includes these variables, could you please share it?Reference:https://docs.ifs.com/techdocs/26r1/070_remote_deploy/010_installing_fresh_system/200_installing_ifs_cloud/050_deploy_db/090_db_deploy_config/?h=define.tem#configuration_without_parameters

Hello,Has anyone enabled Near-Zero Downtime in their IFS Cloud environments yet? We’re moving to 26R1 and have already uplifted our customizations to support the new framework. However, when we raised a case with IFS, we were informed that they’re currently unable to enable Near-Zero Downtime for us.I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has already enabled it:Have you experienced any issues so far? How long does a typical delivery take? What kind of downtime are you seeing in practice? Has anyone had a delivery where the application didn’t go down at all?Any real-world experience or lessons learned would be really helpful. IFS documentation mentions that Delivery Continuity is currently under controlled rollout, so I’m particularly interested in hearing from customers/partners who already have it enabled.

Environment: IFS Apps 10Background We have a set of saved searches on Site on Purchase Requisition, that filter by site cluster, e.g.:contract IN (SELECT contract FROM &AO.site_cluster_node WHERE site_cluster_id = '<CLUSTER>')These saved searches are stored on a shared base profile that all user profiles inherit from. The business requirement isWhen a new Site is added to basic data (Site Cluster), a custom event should fire a custom PL/SQL block which builds the site-relevant saved-search condition and writes it as a new record into the base profile — so the new site automatically appears in everyone's saved searches without manual profile edits. What I've found so farSaved searches are stored in FNDRR_CLIENT_PROFILE_VALUE as a CLOB, but the PL/SQL condition is not stored as readable text — it's held in profile_binary_value as a serialized/encoded string. This query fetches the relevant records:SQL:SELECT Fndrr_Client_Profile_Api.Get_Owner(t.profile_id) PROFILE_ID, t.*
