Cloud - Get Current User's PC While In Background Job

Hi there Community members!I’m looking to see if anyone has some insight on how I would be able to get the PC name of the currently logged in user who had submitted a background job in PL/SQL.Previously, this would be as simple as looking at the Created By column in the Background Job, and then lookup their PC name in the MACHINE column of FND_SESSION_TAB. This table appears to have been abandoned and I don’t see any current rows in it (there are some from the previous version before upgrading to the Cloud version.) I’m looking for some insight or help on how I could capture the user’s PC name. The submission of the Background Job is a fore-ground process (user interacts with an Action to call a PL/SQL Command), so I could possibly collect it when the job is being submitted. I would prefer if this could be looked up somewhere in a table or by using a standard function call in the background job, but I understand if there are some limitations on that given the new internet browser clien

Issuing work order materials using WaDaCo and Mobile

Hi All,I'm having trouble figuring out the best way to issue materials to a work order using a mobile device. I haven’t been able to find much information on how to do this efficiently.I’m looking for your advice on the best method to issue materials to a work order.With Wadaco, we have two options: Manual_Issue_Work_Order and Unplanned_Issue_Work_Order. However, these don’t seem ideal if you don’t have a physical pick list.For maintenance material requisitions, I first need to reserve the materials. After that, a pick list is created, and the warehouse team has to pick the exact lot, batch, or serial number assigned. Even though the “pick by choice” setting is enabled at the site level, it doesn’t seem to work in this scenario.It looks like IFS doesn’t support “pick by choice” for maintenance material requisitions.If we use the Unplanned_Issue_Work_Order method, we can skip creating a pick list. But then, the warehouse team won’t be able to see where the parts are stored.I’m trying to

How to increase Jave Heap Space 24R1

Hello Everyone, We attempted to print multiple reports simultaneously, but only one report was successfully printed.Upon investigating the issue, we reviewed the Kubernetes pod logs and found Java errors in the ifsapp-reporting pod. The logs indicated the following error:java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space When I describe the reporting pod, the java heap memory allocation was as below;IFS_JAVA_OPTS:                -XX:MaxRAMPercentage=30                                    -XX:MaxMetaspaceSize=594M Is there any possibility that we can increase the java heap space value from the deployment or any workaround to get rid of these errors? Thanks in Advance! Best Regards,Rayan

Hi All.Using APPS10 UPD17, I need to post (Create a measure) via projection but I’m getting the error message bellow. ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [TEST_SEQUENCE_ID] is mandatory for Equipment Object Meas and requires a value. The problem that there is no Test sequence ID field in projection, just in database. Am I missing something? Hi ​@IFS Community, ​@IFS Elite Solution Experts, ​@IFS Global Consulting Services, ​@IFS Newbie; ​@IFS RD Product Management I have a question regarding used place in cloud services.I know and understand somehow that to get access into use place is possible with read-only option for limited time and a supervisor (after creating ticket in SNOW).I also understand because ​@IFS is a garant of cloud services they do not want to leave access for other consultants / developers but I have idea how it could be done:To get editor acces for limited time with a supervisor (after creating ticket in SNOW => same procedure as with read-only access). To get access to test enviroment, not production enviroment because we can ask cutomer to clone production database to test database and then ask for editor access.It would be more easier work while performing big integrations e.g. in construction => nesting (cutting plans). I mean really huge integrations where we are forced to wait if it is fixe

Hi All, I have configured Azure AD authentication for an IFS Cloud customer. During testing, some users are not able to log in as expected and are encountering the following error when attempting to access the application: The only thing I have noticed is that there is no IAM user entry inside the profile, and no entry has been created under the IAM Users page. Have you experienced this kind of issue before?

Handling Errors and Responses in Projection Action for Array Input

Hi,I have implemented a new Projection action intended for use in an integration scenario, where the action accepts an array as its input parameter. During execution, if an error occurs while processing an individual node within the array, the entire execution halts.I would like to modify this behavior so that: The execution continues for the remaining nodes despite encountering errors, and The details of any failed nodes are captured and returned to the user. To achieve this, I reviewed the implementation approach used in Core, specifically how similar logic is handled. Based on that analysis, the general steps seem to be: Defining the action in the corresponding .projection or .fragment file Implementing the logic in a Function (rather than a Procedure) to allow returning a result structure that includes both successful and failed nodes An example I referenced is the InventoryPartInStockList.fragment, which follows this pattern..projection/.fragment file .plsvc file I have follow

Configuration Context Mapping not working

I’ve created a mapping to remove commands at the top of Manual Supplier Invoice to people not in a specific user group. I am not in that group and even after refreshing the mapping cache the page does not show the Finance context that it should. Am I missing something? The prior week it was working sporadically as well.

BPA - Recursive error when there are more than 20 records

Hi, We have a BPA when the planned start date is updated for the first work task (minimum task sequence) on a given work order, it will update the remaining work tasks  planned start date with the same date.If there are 20 or less work tasks in the work order, then this works as expected. If there are more than 20 records to be updated, then get the following error.   Any ides whether this is a restriction/limitation?

Azure VPN client connection info

A customer is asking a question regarding build place Azure VPN client. When using it, does it open up for traffic through Azure out to internet, or is it a closed connection to just the tenant IFS is run on.The concern is if it is opening for internet traffic into their network and bypassing firewalls and security settings.Can anyone please share some technical details on the setup?

Regexp - Client and Projection controls - not useable

I see the ‘regexp’ control type available in both projection and client, however in Developer Studio I do not have the option to use them. ORA-06502 NULL index table key value erro

Context Mapping Issue: 404 Errors for Users in Multiple Contexts

We configured and used context mapping to ensure that users with the SupplierHandling projection would not be able to view payment information related to their customers while on the supplier screen. However, users who belong to two contexts are encountering 404 errors when trying to access screens associated with those contexts.Is there a way for users to belong to two contexts and avoid the 404 error? Are there any alternative approaches to resolve this issue?Customer is on IFS 23.1.10

Was the 'Introduction of DAC' delivered in 25R1?

Lobby Element Parameters are not appearing for elements added from different lobbies on Home Page

Hi,Version: 24R2This example is for Maintenance  (EAM) area. I have a customer and business team member is Maintenance Manager. We have given access to below lobbies via Permission Sets to his IFS User.Work Order Management Work Order Closure Management Preventive Maintenance​​​​​​​All the elements on each of these lobbies are not required. From point of interest only 3-4 elements and even 1 element will suffice the requirement from each lobby. So we have added the individual elements from these 3 lobbies mentioned above on the home page of the Maintenance Manager’s login ID. Issue: All the lobby element parameters are not appearing on the home page due to which the data is not appearing. Please refer screenshot, the lobby element parameters for last two elements (Link List) highlighted parameters are missing due to which data is not appearing and if we click on the link it shows that parameters are missing required for that element.Any additional setups or solution available for this

Passing Date Range to Lobby Page Parameter

Hi all,  Is it possible to pass a date range to a lobby parameter?I have a Date type field called "Created_date" in my database view, and I would like to use "Starting_date" and "End_date" as page parameters to filter data based on "Created_date."I am looking for a way to add these conditions in the lobby datasource designer? How to change Max Idle time in IFS Cloud

Hi,In IFS Cloud(21R2), what are the options available to change automatic log out time of the IFS client application and mobile client when a user hasn’t been active for sometime (X minutes) ?I noticed that there is a system parameter called ‘Max idle time’ in Apps10 but I coudn’t find the same in IFS Cloud. Best regards,Indika

Disable password reset with okta login?

We have Okta working with IFS Cloud 24R2, but if a user has never logged into IFS after clicking on the Login with Okta button it forces the user to reset their password. Is there any way to disable this?

Migration Job - Creating 2 entries with values in 1 line

Hello I have a migration job to create a supplier entity with CSVI would like to replace the column Contact with columns Contact Name, email and phone These are filled by the technician when using this job I would like to, in Comm Method to create 2 contact method lines, one with email, other with phone number. I’ve been tinkering with it for a while and couldn’t figure out how to make it work to create the 2 linesIn Source Mapping I cannot create new entries with the same COMM_METHOD view    In Method List I’ve tried having 2 lines with the COMM_METHOD API but I could have done something wrong  Currently its working with just Contact being filled out with one valueI’ve tried via Event, I can create the additional contact method, but it is not linked to the address Appreciate some insight if possible, thanks
