We have recently begun developing reports in BA.  We have published several for our end users to run on demand, but when the reports open in Excel they are blank.  This only happened for the end users without the BA Excel Add-in installed.   No errors are received, they just get a blank excel spreadsheet.   It was my understanding that the end users would only require the Execution Server and obviously be granted access through their permission sets to see the reports. Is there another piece to this that we’re missing that would cause everything generated for end users to be blank? 

I have one specific user that cannot run a quick report. She has a permission set that was granted access. I confirmed under the Manage Grants that her permission set is there and she is listed under the Users. Other people in her group that have the exact same permission sets she has can run this report.  Has anyone else ever ran into this?

Hello, Our users request a custom RMB from “register arrivals” to the related demand source of type “Shop order” (use case outside operations) in IFS 10 Update 6. This was already implemented in IFS 8 SP1. I have created custom menus in several screens, and they are working. But for one custom menu I want it to display only there is a value in a specific field. Therefore, I used conditions. But seems the custom menu is not accepting the condition. We have created an event, it will be triggered when the name of the user changes, the mentioned user in the custom field gets an Stream. This works, but we have one issue: What we want is, that the user, who gets the stream, immediately could go to the salespart mentioned in the stream (via the link in the stream). We think we could arrange this in the screen below, but we are not sure. Anyone who knows?   At this moment, when we got to the stream, we get an empty salespart field.   Thanks in advance

we have just moved to windows 10 for all users (from windows 7) - DP ran just fine on windows7 but on windows10 the screen font is so small you cannot read it and when you move a window around it leaves a trail of windows behind it filling the screen Anyone any experience of this and perhaps a fix? Hello I want to know how IFS handles down payment. currently we are using IFS 8 and soon will be upgrading to IFS 10. At Present we are handling down payments manually and are not recorded in IFS. We are using document classes to categorize files that can be attached to several different LU’s.   If there a standard functionality configuration where you can control what document classes can be used for certain screens/LU’s?  We run into problems when a user attaches a file using a document class that should not be used for that screen.  Example:  We might have customer order whereby a user will add a document classified under “Supplier Contract”.  We would never want this added to a customer order.   Other than creating some kind of event action, is there standard functionality that can control this? We are on IFS Version 9, Update 8. Thanks!    

I’m hoping that someone may have a suggestion or two regarding the ability to place a PO on a supplier not uniquely set up in IFS. The scenario would be when we want to procure either product or service as a “one-off” with no expectations of using that supplier again. The objective would be to benefit from the control offered by use of a PO but without all the Supplier record data housekeeping effort. I am aware of the “IFS Supplier Template” facility, but wondered if: I have missed some existing suitable functionality This (or similar) does exist in IFS; but in later versions. Any additional help to justify a system upgrade would be welcomed!     Thanks very much.  

Hello, We are using Apps 8 and we have some users requesting to view the date AND time in specific date fields in IFS.  When you query the view used by the screen in Oracle it holds the date and time in the field, but when you view via the client the time aspect is removed.  Does anyone know how you can ensure the time is shown as well as the date to the users? Hi all (me again!)   Off the back of my previous topic and @RavinduS help I have managed to import my price list however I have hit a different issue.  If I enter a sales price manually on the Sales Price List → Part Based tab (and press tab/save) it will auto populate the following fields. Calc Sales Price Sales Price Incl Tax Base Price Base Price Inc Tax When creating the migration job the following fields (with flag MIU) are required to have a value which normally are auto-populated off of the Sales Price being entered however if I don’t enter a default value the migration job error’s out demanding that the field has a value. ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [SALES_PRICE_INCL_TAX] is mandatory for Sales Price List Part and requires a value. Currently, when adding a new button (within command groups in the page designer) it seems that the ExternalNavigationLink is being restricted to prefix with either http:// or https:// - is there any way of calling a custom scheme / protocol (class) registered on the PC?   I have a local class that has been associated with a software in where I want to invoke it from Aurena. Is this even possible?

When I create a new Change Request Record I would like to Auto Populate the “CR No:” with text like the following. ABC-0001 Where the 0001 would increment up as a sequence.   So after creating 5 Change Request I would have the following “CR No:” in the system.   CR No: ABC-0001 ABC-0002 ABC-0003 ABC-0004 ABC-0005 Any help would be greatly appreciated.  

Hi IFS, I have created a custom field which accepts data from another custom field. The second custom field is a type of reference and it is in a custom logical unit. The first custom field gets data from the List of Values.  I noticed same column is duplicated in the list of values window and it contains data which I have not entered. This behavior was not in the past. Any suggestions to avoid this?

Hi Using the custom event STEP_READY_FOR_APPROVAL  as part of the document management approval routing to send an email. Email subject is using the variable &MESSAGE_TEXT which as an example contains the following:  “Document Class 3015, No 1678422, Sheet 1 , Rev REV00 is ready for your immediate approval” My questions is there a way to amend the content of this variable somewhere in IFS? Hello, I have made an event that throws an error message to the user, using the error_sys.record_general function, based on some criteria set in the event, which triggers on a change in the status of the object.  error_sys.record_general( 'SomeLogicUnit', 'SOMEERRORMSG: this is an error message'); I am in the process of creating another event that will change the status of the object, but I am wondering if it is possible to catch the exception raised in the other event, and handle it separately?  Without handling the event, and running the event manually in a DBMS, the procedure completes, but returns ORA-20110: SomeLogicUnit.SOMEERRORMSG: this is an error message   My event would look something like this: BEGIN --change status on object, which may cause an error to be raised in the other eventEXCEPTION W

The navigator entry for the ‘Quick Report Categories’ form has been removed from UPD 6 onwards. Before UPD 6, ‘Category’ is a mandatory field when creating a quick report. But from UPD 6 onwards ‘Category’ is a not a mandatory field when creating a quick report. Further, from UPD 6 onwards a new field called ‘Domain’ has been introduced in the ‘Create New Quick Report’ page. It is also not a mandatory field. Both ‘Category’ and ‘Domain’ fields are used for the filtering purpose and they are useful in Aurena. Since, the ‘Category’ field is not mandatory when creating a quick report from UPD 6 onwards, ‘Quick Report Categories’ navigator entry has been removed. If I have a Crystal Report that contains sub-reports, do I have to add CR_WEB_INIT to the sub-reports as well as the main report?

As a customer I am unable to access wis.ifsworld.com, which is the place where I should be able to see minimum and/or recommended platform specs for running the Aurena client. Fundamentally, I’m looking to identify specs for low-end tablets that would work well enough to be functional IFS Aurena clients. Can anyone either provide an alternative location to find this information or provide it directly here?  Any specific recommendations for cheap but viable tablets would also be appreciated if anyone has implemented any. Hi, I have Install fresh build for new Application and follow all steps and instruction which is given into Help Document and it has been installed successful.But have noticed, there are some interfaces are not in Navigation e.g Supplier, Customer, Company etc, so i use to add new item and select unused interface then it showing error “You are not authorized to view the information or perform activities on this page” “User IFSAPP has not been granted access to the page frmSupplierInfo_Ext”    

We’re creating a QuickReport where we want transaction data by month going across the row. We created an accumulating IAL grouped by YYYYMM which works great. Then creating a 2nd IAL over the first to total each YYYYMM’s Qty into it’s own month column (January, February, March, etc) and when we run that in SQL Query Tool it fails with this error:   We’ve ensured all rows have valid dates.
