Hi, I am trying to change a standard IFS user’s password using Change password option on IEE and running into an issue:   Error message  This works fine if I change IFSAPP’s password but not for any other user granted FND_CONNECT. Has anyone come across this issue before? Do we need to enable any parameters to make Change password work? Version: IFS Apps 10 UPD8   TIA!

I am looking at a Crystal Report that prompts for parameters to filter the report results, however, it seems to read all the records of the table before applying the filter and then producing the report.  It wouldn’t be a problem except it has almost 4 million records to read and makes the report take way too long. Any suggestions out there?Thanks~JV

Does anyone know which permissions need to be applied in order for the Email to be populated with data, please?  User is able to invoke the email popping up when selecting “Send E-mail” but invoice no, supplier details etc are missing.Thanks 

We are getting ready for an IFS 10 go-live in October of 2020.  I’m interested in learning what others have done to facilitate Postal Code and Address validation in IFS.  It looks as if IFS requires that States, Counties, Cities, and Countries be set up before Postal Codes can be created.  Is this data entry typically done manually?  Is there an import capability for this relatively static data?  Does IFS have any APIs that facilitate address validation?  Are there recommended 3rd party serices from which to obtain US and international state/county/city/country/zipcode data to import? Thank you for any insight you can provide in how best to approach this task.

Hello,I am running Apps9.I’d like to run a jar file with arguments from a custom event action. When the status of an object changes, I want to pass the object name and a few other variables to the function within the .jar file.What is the correct way to implement this and where must the .jar file be stored? Hi all,I would like to add the field Coordinator from the Purchase Order header in the menu Project Miscellaneous Parts. I have experience with adding Custom Fields with Implementation Type ‘Reference’ but not with a SQL statement. And since there is no possibility to add the field via a reference, I will need a SQL statement to do so. I tried some things but I was not able to get it right.I would appreciate your help!We are on APPS10 Update 7.  

Hello All, I have a report and on the last page it contains document ‘HEADER DOCUMENT TEXT’. The problem is that the data is truncated and doesn’t go over onto a new page in print preview? Anyone have any idea why please?  Thanks, D.

Hello Techies,I want to upgrade our on premises TAS initially installed for IFS Applications 10 UPD5 to UPD8.what is the best possible and recommended way to upgrade TAS installation? I have tried getting the latest installation package for UPD8 and running the installer but I can not proceed further after entering  database details due to an error  (prepare TAS and all pre deploy database scripts have executed without any errors including necessary permission grants and tablespace creation)TIA!

When attempting to print certain reports our users are running into the attached error. Hi,What code syntax would i use to open a custom data entry page from an SQL custom menu please?is there a way to pass values to this page on load or can i only populate via a before update custom event? TIA

We are getting performance issues with java.exe taking 99 percent of the CPU on the application server and using 6GB of RAM. Does anybody else see this happening? Should I manage the HEAP differently?

Hello, I’m looking to see if it is possible to generate a Streams notice when an IFS Error Message occurs. Specifically, I’m looking to build an alert for the Insufficient material error message when attempting to Ship WIP to a Supplier. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. 

Let me start by saying I have plenty of email event actions that send out correctly, so I do not think this is any sort of MAIL_SENDER issue.I am trying to setup an event action to trigger from the (Notification_Events_Util_API.Start_Notify_Next_Auth) function.  The background job posts and executes with no errors.  But my email event action does not hit the application messages and notification queue.  So, I get no email. Strange thing is, I have this working in one environment…..but getting this working in a new environment is giving me trouble.The Event is already setup, the Event Action is setup and enabled.  I have a schedule tasks to run this event at a given interval….same as the working environment.What piece am I missing?Thanks for any help…~JV

Hi, I am unable to see List of Values(LoV) for any of the reports I run from IFS Aurena/Order report. I tried one of the the Example BR reports and an Operational Report as shown in below screen shots. Does any one know what is causing this behavior and tell me how to make LoV visible in IFS Aurena?     Thank you!

Hello, I have been asked to set up a Custom Event that should notify or stop the user (info message / error message) when they try to save a new object based on the values in one custom field, and another standard IFS field. Both exist in separate tables, as you would expect (e.g. NCR_TAB and NCR_CFT).  I get this to work on existing objects, either through querying the field directly in the event action, or through the custom attributes in the event.    However, in this case I want the event to be triggered when the new object is created, which means that the row does not yet exist in either table / view. Can you please explain why each and every time I try to login to the community my current password is not recognized meaning that I have to send an email regarding a password change? Once I change the password the next time I login the system informs me that my credentials are invalid and I’m forced to repeat the password change process all over again.ThanksAlan

I want to brainstorm here with you experts. AT present, we are using IFSAPP for a lot of things, all scheduled and background jobs run by IFSAPP and all of our development team uses IFSAPP for their development ,testing and helping any stuck auto process, purposes.Auditor thinks its a risk factor, especially in Accounting processes. We are planning on creating a finance user and schedule invoicing etc jobs under it. The Question is if i create a new user for this purpose, what should i keep in mind , any special treatment like any basic data etc requirement… How are your business handling situations like this. For Example, are developers using their personal ID’s for development/implementation purposes.. Do you have any Super user accounts.What are best practices….Reference to any document etc. Thanks

Hi,Does anyone know why performance of a Crystal Report sometimes is much slower when run from inside IFS Applications then executed as a preview in the Crystal Report application?I create a report and preview it with ok performance.Deploy same report in IFS Applications but then performance is very slow!
