How to incorporate or transfer these Custom Fields in the Standard View

I have made Custom Enumeration. This can be seen on the Sales Part and on the Overview Sales Parts. Every thing is working and can also be queried. However if I want to select a column in the data Source Designer, I can’t see these custom columns. This also applies when I want to use the Event action field. Question: How to incorporate or transfer these Custom Fields (&AO.W_I_B_R_PERS_CFP) in the Standard View Sales Parts (%AO.SALES_PART)

SSRS as a Lobby Element

In Apps8 - there was an option to display SSRS reports in the Analysis pane at the bottom of the screen.  In Apps10 - the Analysis pane is now the Lobby pane.  Does anyone know if there is a way to use an SSRS report as a Lobby element there?  For our purchasing - we get PO status / update information from suppliers in a SQL server.  Currently users get that data through an SSRS report in another window.  Ideally, I’d like to display the report data in the lobby pane so it’s automatically all there for the current PO. I’m trying to not have to create new tables / LUs in Oracle and then replicate the data from SQL to Oracle.

Event with stream action

We have created an event, it will be triggered when the name of the user changes, the mentioned user in the custom field gets an Stream. This works, but we have one issue: What we want is, that the user, who gets the stream, immediately could go to the salespart mentioned in the stream (via the link in the stream). We think we could arrange this in the screen below, but we are not sure. Anyone who knows?   At this moment, when we got to the stream, we get an empty salespart field.   Thanks in advance

Business rule Alert - Previous Service History

i’m really stumped on how to put together this business rule. basically if a piece of equipment has been service more than 3 times within the last 30 days, we want a pop up alert to notify the user of these details. This would be before insert of a request (or after if that works best)   It would be similar to how when you create a request for a place that has existing service calls

Track User Activity

I am interested in tracking user activity in my IFS8/Oracle 12c system. The type of information I am interested in is: When was a module or transaction last used? Which users are using which modules or executing which programs? What are the most frequently used modules or transactions? What modules have the highest CPU usage? When I query gv$session I can see the current users and what they are executing, but I am looking for historic data. I know this information might be available from Oracle OEM, but due to separation of duties, I do not have access to this tool.

Automated testing

Hi.. I’m Looking for recommendations / suggestions, on test automation software... I am working on IFS 10 and am looking to develop an automation framework around the E2E test scenarios. I was thinking of either Selenium or Katolan. If anybody has experience of these id appreciate some guidance and suggestions. How successful has it been, and is it worth the effort involved. IFS EE Extension install

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to install IFS EE Extension for all users via ConfigMgr. From my testing I can’t get it to work then doing it in SYSTEM context. Has anyone found a solution for this?    When I do it manually (starting the ifseeextensioninstall.msi) with a user account that have admin rights on a machine, it works correctly. But there must be a solution where the user doesn't need to be local admin, right? Best regards/ Tobias Sandberg

Excel Add-in - How to easily convert values to uppercase? (Apps10)

A customer is considering using the Excel Add-in for creating supplier for purchase part records. We created an Excel migration job for this and during testing we received the following error for the field Supplier Part No:The value "SOOW 16/6 16 Gauge" has incorrect format for [VENDOR_PART_NO] in Purchase Part Supplier. Should be in uppercase.How can the value in the column easily be converted to uppercase without needing any adjustment by the user in Excel? We would like to handle this via setup in the migration job. If the job was of type MIGRATE_SOURCE_DATA we could simply use the Oracle function UPPER when mapping, but we cannot figure out how to handle this for migration type EXCEL_MIGRATION.

Adding a cloumn to the Risk Object Connection screen

We use the object connections quite heavily in Apps 8, especially on Project Navigator, and I was wondering if anyone has been able to add an additional column to these, particularly the Risks object connection. I am looking to include the status column which can be found if you RMB to the Risk Analysis Navigator, however the object connection screens do not give the option to create a custom field. Does anyone know of another way this can be done? TIA

BA Reports for End Users are Blank

We have recently begun developing reports in BA.  We have published several for our end users to run on demand, but when the reports open in Excel they are blank.  This only happened for the end users without the BA Excel Add-in installed.   No errors are received, they just get a blank excel spreadsheet.   It was my understanding that the end users would only require the Execution Server and obviously be granted access through their permission sets to see the reports. Is there another piece to this that we’re missing that would cause everything generated for end users to be blank?

User Cannot Run Quick Report - Granted Access

I have one specific user that cannot run a quick report. She has a permission set that was granted access. I confirmed under the Manage Grants that her permission set is there and she is listed under the Users. Other people in her group that have the exact same permission sets she has can run this report.  Has anyone else ever ran into this?

Custom RMB when source value is not a source column

Hello, Our users request a custom RMB from “register arrivals” to the related demand source of type “Shop order” (use case outside operations) in IFS 10 Update 6. This was already implemented in IFS 8 SP1. Due to changes in the view, required source columns are only referenced from the client, but don’t exist in view. in Form Register Arrivals, the relevant data is displayed. column Demand Order Ref1 is not a field in the view. it is a referenced value (...api.get...) Custom Menu definition requires a source column in the source view - which does not exist   other approach could be: Idea 1: source Key Name could allow to use a bind variable of the column name of the form like: :tbwRegisterArrivals.colsDemandOrderRef1 Idea 2: source Key Name could allow to use a get-function of the format like:    &AO.Receipt_Info_Manager_API.Get_Demand_Order_Ref1(SOURCE_REF1,SOURCE_REF2,SOURCE_REF3,SOURCE_REF4,SOURCE_REF_TYPE_DB) There is the same problem when defining a condition for Custom RMB. I

Custom menu condition

I have created custom menus in several screens, and they are working. But for one custom menu I want it to display only there is a value in a specific field. Therefore, I used conditions. But seems the custom menu is not accepting the condition. Demand Planner on Windows 10

we have just moved to windows 10 for all users (from windows 7) - DP ran just fine on windows7 but on windows10 the screen font is so small you cannot read it and when you move a window around it leaves a trail of windows behind it filling the screen Anyone any experience of this and perhaps a fix? IFS 10 Shortcuts/Columns Disappearing

Has anyone experienced an issue where a user adds a shortcut to their navigator, save their profile and then upon their next login it disappears? I also have had users report that they’ll add a column to a table view of a screen, save their profile and that also disappears upon their next login.

Down Payment in IFS 8

Hello I want to know how IFS handles down payment. currently we are using IFS 8 and soon will be upgrading to IFS 10. At Present we are handling down payments manually and are not recorded in IFS. Document Class LU control

We are using document classes to categorize files that can be attached to several different LU’s.   If there a standard functionality configuration where you can control what document classes can be used for certain screens/LU’s?  We run into problems when a user attaches a file using a document class that should not be used for that screen.  Example:  We might have customer order whereby a user will add a document classified under “Supplier Contract”.  We would never want this added to a customer order.   Other than creating some kind of event action, is there standard functionality that can control this? We are on IFS Version 9, Update 8. Thanks!

"One time Vendor" functionality available in APPs 8 SP1 ...?

I’m hoping that someone may have a suggestion or two regarding the ability to place a PO on a supplier not uniquely set up in IFS. The scenario would be when we want to procure either product or service as a “one-off” with no expectations of using that supplier again. The objective would be to benefit from the control offered by use of a PO but without all the Supplier record data housekeeping effort. I am aware of the “IFS Supplier Template” facility, but wondered if: I have missed some existing suitable functionality This (or similar) does exist in IFS; but in later versions. Any additional help to justify a system upgrade would be welcomed!     Thanks very much.

Show Date and Time in Client

Hello, We are using Apps 8 and we have some users requesting to view the date AND time in specific date fields in IFS.  When you query the view used by the screen in Oracle it holds the date and time in the field, but when you view via the client the time aspect is removed.  Does anyone know how you can ensure the time is shown as well as the date to the users? Migration Job - Updating Price List

Hi all (me again!)   Off the back of my previous topic and @RavinduS help I have managed to import my price list however I have hit a different issue.  If I enter a sales price manually on the Sales Price List → Part Based tab (and press tab/save) it will auto populate the following fields. Calc Sales Price Sales Price Incl Tax Base Price Base Price Inc Tax When creating the migration job the following fields (with flag MIU) are required to have a value which normally are auto-populated off of the Sales Price being entered however if I don’t enter a default value the migration job error’s out demanding that the field has a value. ORA-20124: Error.NULLVALUE: Field [SALES_PRICE_INCL_TAX] is mandatory for Sales Price List Part and requires a value. For now I have entered ‘0’ into the default value field to get around the error for the following fields. BASE_PRICE BASE_PRICE_INCL_TAX PERCENTAGE_OFFSET AMOUNT_OFFSET SALES_PRICE SALES_PRICE_INCL_TAX The downside is that having a default val

Using Aurena and ExternalNavigationLink without http or https

Currently, when adding a new button (within command groups in the page designer) it seems that the ExternalNavigationLink is being restricted to prefix with either http:// or https:// - is there any way of calling a custom scheme / protocol (class) registered on the PC?   I have a local class that has been associated with a software in where I want to invoke it from Aurena. Is this even possible?
