Change Part Description via Migration Job

Hi, Has anyone a successful migration job in Apps9 to change the part description. Thought I had one - but keep getting an error message”ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows”This is even when I have it run on just the Part Catalog record.I am looking to put into Master Part, Inventory Part, Purchase Part, Sales Part. All just for one record. All I have in my files in Contract, Part_no and description. Any pointers would be greatly appreacted. Thansk, Matt

Transform json to xml

Hi,I need in IFS Cloud to transform output from SendPurchaseOrder from json to xml.Have tried IFS_JSON_TO_XML_GENERIC but it does not give me all columns transformed. Any Ideas on how to transform to xml.BR,Patric

What is the component version 14.0.0-MEP

Hi, I want to make sure a customer’s instance has been applied with a particular bug fix with the version the customer is in. This is related to App8.The version in the bug details (patched in) is 14.0.0 for PURCH (App8)When I checked the installed components in the customer’s environment for PURCH, it appears as 14.0.0-MEP ? So, does anyone know what does this “MEP” part means in the version ?If the customer has this 14.0.0-MEP version for PURCH, does that mean that bug fix has already been applied ? Thank you

IEE client- layout of form window

After each installation , customer complains that layout of IEE client windows which is done via personalized layer is gone. As per my understanding user profiles not effected  with installation unless something is added on base profile. Any idea why this happens?

Creating new custom projection in Aurena: not all sql methods are selectable

Hi,In Applications 10 UDP13 we try to create a new projection that uses a custom action of type SQL method. After filtering the correct package name, only some of the existing SQL methods are shown. The desired method Get_Part_Via_Identified_Gtin does exists but not appear.What could be the reason?

Server Sizing Query re ISG.lrs

After downloading the Server Sizing information for Apps 10 from the Partner Portal on reading “ifs10upd7_aurena_500vu_measure_LR_Report.pdf” I noticed the following:Scenario Name:  C:\IFS_10_UPD7\ISG.lrsRun Name:  isgres.lrr Can you please confirm:Is the ISG.lrs/isgres.lrr file available in the Apps10_UPD folder and is there any further information on this file?Thank you.John

About permission - RCB options on the Report Picking of Pick List Lines

Hello IFS community,Thanks so much for taking the time to read my questions.First Question1-  Where could I see the permission set to the RCB to display “Report Picking of Pick Line Lines”? See the screenshot below.My second question 2- After RCB and select “Report Picking of Pick Line Lines” a pop-up window appear (fig-2) with no option to populate or query. Pass System Parameters to Custom Navigator Item

Is it possible to pass system parameters such as #USER_ID# and #DB_SID# through from a custom navigator item in IFS9? I know this is possible in custom RMB menus as I’ve done it several times.    I’m trying to pass some user information through to an external website that I’ve developed and can’t figure out how to accomplish this. In the image above, I have my settings, however in the IEE the url below is what I get, devoid of any parameters. https://testwebsite.com/apps/test?user=

IFS Cloud - Identity and access manager

I am getting below error when i am trying to filter data from IAM Client Details page. Server errorSorry, there was an unexpected server error. We need to create new client and give access to third party to get and post data to IFS Cloud, but seems we neither see existing clients nor create new one. Thanks in advance

"Could not load file or assembly...." when using third party DLL

Hi,I’d like to use a third party DLL in App10. I put the file into <component>/source/<component>/client/runtime dir and setup the csproj for copying the file into the DeployFiles dir when building and I added the reference as well. It works fine in developer mode.After the building the file is in the <build_home>/client/runtime dir, but the registration is missing from the Ifs.Fnd.Explorer.exe.manifest.How can I force msbuild to put my extra DLL into the manifest file?Best regards,Tamás

Lobby Navigation issue

Hi  I have a lobby element that contains a record the starts with “*” . And when it gets used in navigation the value gets recognized as a date value , though it is defined as a TEXT column .The values I use for the navigator@ Datasource DesignerHow I use it in the navigator ( I tried both with single quotes , without single quotes and didn’t work)As you can see from the background the value has been taken as a date .

Search Domains - Index is not existing

Background jobs are with errors. When I have tried to drop the index and create it new one, message appearing “ACTIVITY_TIX” is non existing index and same thing happening with “DOCUMENT_CONTENT_TIX”. I am surprised how it happened?

No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service - Apps 9

Hi all, I know this might of appeared on the forum before, however. Daily random number of print jobs have error messages with No PDF report returned from Crystal Web Service as a message. I’ve enabled Crystal logs to see if there was anything in them that could indicate any issues but there are no messages at all. Issue when using #USER_ID# inside an event

Trying to use the following statement inside an event IF  EXPENSE_RULE_VALUE in ('STD') and  #USER_ID# not in ('7889','013588') THEN  Raise_application_error(-20199,'Select the expense t  : ' ||   EXPENSE_RULE_VALUE  || ' can not be used any more' );END IF; But we encounter the below error [ORA-06550]: line 27, column 74:PLS-00201: identifier 'IFSAPP' must be declaredORA-06550: line 27, column 2: any way to use the #USER_ID#  properly ?

custom event - create supplier - request for order quotation

Hi all,  I am new to creating custom events and a novice when it comes to PL/SQL. Ifsdump.cmd does not pick up the log files when creating the .zip

Hello,One of our customers have reported that their ifsdump.cmd does not work correctly as it does not pick the needed log files when creating the .zip. I have compared the .cmd file with a file in a core environment and both look identical. Any idea on what could be the reason behind this?

IFS Developer Studio 10.82.0 Entity deploy Error

Hi,I have installed the IFS Developer Studio 10.82.0, once we right click on any entity file generate code and deploy getting this error.java.lang.ClassCastException: [Ljava.lang.Object; cannot be cast to [Ljava.lang.String;Please provide solution to overcome this error.

APP9 Export to Excel- Date Issue after Year 2029

Hi Community,When we use Output> Excel option is IFS, the dates after 2029 appear as 19## is excel.For example is date is 03-Jun-30 This is exported as 03-06-1930 in excel.If I change my Regional Setting in PC to DD/MM/YYYY, this issue does not occur.This is very strange - Why it only occurs for dates 2029?Is this something to be reported to IFS?ThanksGayan

Error in Application Messages

Hi All, We have setup email notification for absence requests and receive below error message for some requests and it shows in application messages as failed.Error Text:Fatal error while sending data... Caused by: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: 535 5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful, user password has expired. Which user password has expired? IFS login user account is active.

IFS Business Reporter error when Bulk Save

Hi,I am using Bulk Save and Republish Reports option in Business Reporter tool. When File Path is given (for the reports downloaded), I am getting below error. Location is entered to Trusted Location and folder structure was created manually as well. Still getting the above error.When I open individual report from Open menu in destination environment, it executes without an issue.Any idea about the error? Thank you.Best regards,Sureka

Print Label problem with Citizen Printer

HelloWe have a problem with printing labels from the printer Citizen cl-s521. When the print is started via the print agent, the label is physically printed on the printer without any problem. The printer is mapped to the server and the process takes place over the network (the printer has an IP address). When we print via USB on the same printer, the printout appears in the print queue locally on the workstation, but the printer does not actually print it. Any ideas?

3rd Party Training

I am wondering if there is any companies out there that offer training material for IFS specifically. I am not looking for one on one training. I am looking for actual material in IFS similar to the old eLearning. I found out that they took that out to boost profits for the academy which isn’t that useful.  Thanks!
