Database View - UIV?

Hi We understand a view ending in _CFV is a custom field view used when we’ve customised a screen or table. However we see views with uiv_cfv. Does anyone know the difference and what these views are for? A quick look of the construct of the view doesnt show any obvious differences. Regards Shaun

Cost Estimation Software Integration with IFS

COST ESTIMATION INTEGRATION I am busy with an implementation for a construction solution and I am looking to find out some more information around a cost estimation software integration with IFS as this is a requirement from the customer.Has this kind of integration been successfully developed in another implementation? How was it integrated? What was the type of cost estimation details that were integrated? Was this integrated with the Project WBS or Sub Contracts?Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Crystal Report files harvest location

Hello, do you know, what is right location of CrystalReport Layout file (*.rpt) in harvest? If is need to copy it to right folder structure on App Server and respect language mutation. I found some in <module>/client/runtime, but it’s weird location. I expected them in manualInstallation folder. Do Delivery builder automatically copy it from some location to manualDeploy folder? Thanks

Custom Field on tbwRepresentativeCustomer

I am struggeling with creating custom fields on this page. When I enter the overview for custom fields I can see my custom fields but they are not visible to add on the tbw. I have reloaded the configuration and restarted EE but only Menu-items can be used on tbwRepresentativeCustomer and no custom fields. I have seen this behavior on other pages as well so is there any limitation on where we can see custom fields or is this a bug?

Specify a Browser When Opening a Link

We have a list of IFS document names in Sharepoint. Each document name has a link to IFS, which then opens the document. The link works when the user’s browser is Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge. It fails when the user’s default browser is Chrome, Mozilla, Firefox, etc. That’s because the link must first open IFS 10 (which it can’t do) before IFS can open it for viewing. Requiring all our users to set their default browser to either IE or Edge is NOT an option.How do I force a document link to open with a specific browser? For example, if the user has Chrome as the default browser, how do I force the link to open IFS 10 in Microsoft Edge?

Add a Lobby as a base profile?

I tried to set a newly created Lobby as a homepage for a base profile. I thought i got it to work, however when the end users log in, they get the following error message. I think it is because the Lobby is set to my personal data rather than generic for all. The steps i took to do this:Go to Options and chose the User Profile. Then clicked edit base profile and chose our Quality base profile. Then with that base profile active in my screen, i searched for the Quality Lobby and opened the page. Clicked on Options>General and clicked Use current to make that Lobby the home pageWhat am i doing wrong/missing?

How do I create an external URL containing multiple objects in a form window?

We could populate an object in a form window (e.g. Customer Order), and use Send To > Mail Recipient as Link to create an external URL for an single object. We could also select multiple objects in a table window and perform Send To > Mail Recipient as Link as shown below. How do I send multiple objects in a form window? For example, how to I have two customer orders to populate in Customer Order window by clicking an external link?

IFS OLAP Sales Cube Measures not populating

We have successfully deployed and populated the IFS Business Analysis Package OLAP cubes for IFS Apps 9 in a test environment. I found the Measures deployed within the Sales cube, which are based on the SUM aggregation, are not populating. However, I have confirmed there are Measures based on the SUM aggregation functioning correctly within the Manufacturing cube.There is data within the Sales-related Data Mart SQL tables as well. I did try changing the data types on the SQL Data Mart table and in the Cube via Visual Studio, neither of which worked.Has anyone else experience issues like this with the IFS OLAP cubes? Basically, there is data within the SQL tables but the Cube measures are not aggregating the SUM in the Sales OLAP cube.

Hi All, A rookie question :)When creating a new entity in Developer Studio, it will automatically generate the .cre file but when creating the delivery, the build script will not add the cre file to the install.temWhat should we do to deploy the new Entity table creation from the delivery? Cheers!

Is there a way to get a list of all the permission sets assigned to a user?

I would like to get a list of all the permission sets that have been assigned to a user, whether directly or indirectly. I can currently get a list of the directly linked permissions but we have some permission sets that are made up of other permissions. e.g. If a user has been assigned this permission I can see:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMIN What I would like to see is:User: BLOGGSFND_ROLE: BA_BARS_ADMINFND_ROLE: FND_RUNTIME Is this possible?

Lobby Element not automatically refreshing when changing the Site parameter

I have 1 lobby element that is not refreshing when I switch from one site to the other. If I refresh the screen it will refresh, just won’t when I change my site. I have multiple others in the same Lobby that do refresh, just not sure why this one does not. When I go to change the site on the drop down at the top, most elements get the refresh circle set, this one does not. Not sure what to look for, any idea/helpful hints? Apps 10 UPD5 in IEEE

Redirect Landing page to open IEE (also edit the Landing page)

Hi All, Apps10: Is there a way to customize the landing page so when navigating to that URL, IEE client is launched? i.e. when navigating to https://myserver:48080, IEE client should be launched and login screen shown straight away.also can we can drop certain items and add others? All of this should be done on cloud environments using configuration, so legal stuff only pls people :) found help under F1 Development guide but that does not say how to do it on a deployed environment. we can edit ifs_home\instance\MyInstance\www-root\index.html but is that legal? would it be overwritten? how can we get it done on the hosted environment? any help much appreciatedTIA

Automated User Creation

Hi! Have any one have any input how to solve automated user creation? I know there's is the AD sync, but haven't tried this yet, how is for example the HR Module solved? Thinking of when users move between departments or roles, also if there are any input on the Maintenance side work order reassignment? We are in the O&G and offshore personnel are changing position very often.All this in Apps10/Karl

SSO and Database Auth. at the same time

Is it possible to use both Single-sign on and Database Authentication at the same time for a user?If I look at the screenshot below I would expect I’m able to login via both SSO and Database Authentication. This is however not working.

IFS10 ADFS enabled and user get Bad Request 400 with EE

After enabling ADFS, Aurena is working as expected but Enterprise Explorer is not working.User logon to EE get a Bad Request 400 and detail log showing this: Ifs.Fnd.AccessProvider.Interactive.FndLoginDialog.AuthenticateCredentials(FndLoginCredentials loginCreds) ---> System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request. Hi All, Is there any documents to read about the future of IFS integrations and the support for Access providers (.Net Java) and basic authentication?In the Idea wall discussion https://ideawall.ifsworld.com/ideas/5c5daba2b0114c0d53ca1e1a it was said that the Activities as well as Access Providers will be deprecated in future releases but not said when and how.It’s better to have more information on this since the integrations we design today should be future proof with upgrades.

Limit on concurrent connections to soapgateway?

Is there a limit to concurrent connections that can be operated by the fndext/soapgateway in IFS MWS Apps9? We see occasional network errors thrown by application logic in PLSQL that uses the PLSQLAP to communicate and call an activity in IFS MWS. It fails with message UTL_HTTP_ERRORS: Network error code 2, while communicating with application server. So it is not an unreachable issue (UTL_HTTP_DOWN). Any idea where we can trace this error? a log file to look at perhaps?
