I found code on here that allowed me to attach a document to an email. IFS Environment: Apps 10 UPD14.I created a Boomi process that uploads a file into the document attachment section in IFS.This was done using the Boomi HTTP Client connector using method PATCH.  I was wondering if this could also be done using the Boomi IFS Aurean connector?Projection: CreateAndImportDocument Object: EdmFileSet

Most of our users are currently unable to open certain checked in word documents using document management. IFS APPS 10 UPD13 - Windows 11. In some cases it will open the document, appear to load (with the watermark flashing across the document) and then close itself immediately. Other times it will look like it will open (windows loading cursor) but not open at all. Some of these documents appear to be password protected. Other users are getting the error “no view file available, are you sure you want to check in the document?” when when they check out a document, edit and try to check back in.Any ideas?Thanks

Hi,Can I know how we can add a new service for the object connections? Customer needs to add new service for Add, Edit and Delete SharePoint links in the attachment panel for selected pages. 

We are getting a System Exception Error on the document folder navigator screen for a user.  The error is: Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute.  The attachments window is open and the screen runs through the bottom document section.  The user has to close IFS in order to get the screen to function again.   We will occasionally get the same message when update scripts are ran.  Our IFS systems administrator has to run the script again and it works the second time with out changing anything.   What would cause this error and how do we fix it so our user doesn’t have to close IFS all the time.

The customer wants to securely store and retain older, less frequently accessed, or inactive documents. They want to free up space in the main document repository for current and regularly used files. The option I can think of is ‘Move repository’ but in IFS, we dont have the option of only moving obsolete files. looking for ideas on how to tackle this. ( for APP10 and Cloud both)

Hi,after update to UPD19 we are not able to use command “Send document by e-mail” from Document Revisions. Some users get this error messageOther users does not get this error message, but nothing happens when we are expecting to have a new email message with link.Does anyone have any experience with this  

when there is no direct mapping, a custom method is the usual way to set up a transformation.Instead of using a method, can we use a custom field  to set up an Object Connection Transformation when the direct mapping fields are not available in the Target?the custom filed is not coming up in the LOV of available fields for me.

Hi all,A customer is installing Aurena Agent using their remote software installation procedure to all users in a group. What they have done isMass rollout the .msi file. Pushed silent installation with the TEST environment url. Chrome extension was pushed out and enabled successfully for Chrome. Extension was installed on Edge too. Above worked. Question:How do we now change the url to PROD? Uninstall and reinstall with correct url? Hello, I'm using document management in APP10When I send an instant invoice using message class INVOIC, media code E-INVOICE, the image of the invoice is automatically attached in Attachments /Documents The document revision for such invoice is in Released status, because it is automatically changed from Preliminary to Approved and then Released.Why does the document revision not remain in the Preliminary status?There is no approval template or event action Is this an intended behavior of the application?Is it a matter of setup?Best regards,Aneta

Working in IFS CloudI am looking into implementing Work Instructions in Workbench through Work Guidelines. Our current routings structures are very template oriented, including Standard Operations as much as possible.I am trying to work out how to get Media attached to lower level objects to flow up to the next level, ie Pictures connected to a Work Guideline Template to move to a Standard Operation when attached, then to a Routing Template Operation, etc. Ultimately the goal is for media attached at any step in the chain to be connected at the Routing level and ultimately within the Operation Guide in Workbench.A few of these connections are standard functionality and work as expected, a couple I have had to manually enable MediaLibrary service and create Object Connection Transformations to connect these items, and in certain cases I can bypass the intermediate steps and make it work, for example anything with a Work Guideline Template connected works. However I can’t make the connec

Greetings, IFS community! Documents are saved in the database and not on an external FTP server.  Will it be possible to search for a document using words that are contained within the document as parameters? I am capable of searching and creating simple queries and quick reports in DOCMAN that utilize custom fields and fields from the tables.  However, I am trying to conduct a search within the attached document for keywords.  Would this be possible? Could you please provide me with some instructions on how to accomplish this if it is possible?  We are using IFS 10 Thank you.

We are using the detail cards for the procurement portal as the default layout and we do have connected documents to the items.  We can unfortunately not make the attached documents possible to reach without changing the view to list or table. Is this the functionality or is there any possibility to configure?

Hi all,We have a requirement to output xlsx files to pdf in doc man via macro when user views the doc.The doc loaded will remain xlsx.I’ve been told this isn't possible to do but was just wondering if anyone has done it?We already have a macro for docx to pdf which works fine.Many thanksDan

Is there a way to view PDF files without downloading them directly from the Document Revision screen, similar to how it is possible on the attachment panel in other screens? Is this possible with a custom command maybe?In my case I will have a lot of documents not attached to any objects, I would still like to be able to view the PDF documents without downloading them.

Since I could not find this answer in text form, and easily visualized, here is the list of supported file extensions for the view, or "preview" command (the command with an eye icon) in IFS Cloud Web:PNG, JPEG, JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF, TIFF, MP3, WMA, MP4, WMV, WEBM, OGG, TXT, PDF 

Dears,We have a challange in the document management system, Have uploaded 2 different file types under a particular Document ClassOriginal as Word Document View as PDF documentOne of the user would like to always see the PDF Document (Set as View) But despite setting this under User Setting, IFS Aurena system always opens the Word Document instead of the PDF document from the Document Revisions Screen.Could somebody shed some light on this or Is there a way by which user can always see the View document. As of now in the Document Folder navigator, we don't have the direct visibility of the documents within the folders.As a part of the new development, it is intended to bring the standard capabilities into the document folder navigator, so that the user will be able to:Visualize documents within the folders directly within a document folder node. Visualize the document details in the Document Folder Navigator page. Drag and drop documents between document folder nodes in a structure.We now have the 3 options in the poll below to display the Document details in the Document Folder Navigator page. Would like to know the preference. 

Hi Experts, Please let us know whether the below requirement can be met in the Docman functionality.Requirement -To convert documents attached to a document class to PDFDetails - Employees register their expenses in the expense management module of IFS where they attach the receipts/bills they receive to the specific expense sheet. As of now we get documents in different format attached to the document class.Investigations until now - Document class management has a functionality for a Macro According to the help text it is understood that we can register macros to be applied to process within a document classFor testing we created a Document Macro Block with a Script for a pop up message Then connected it to Macro Basic Data And we were able to use the macro to pop up the message. Kindly requesting any tips on how to setup the print functionality or any other process to meet the requirement of converting documents of a document class to pdf.

Users receive an error when trying to Send via Email from Document Revision. Error: Got an error when trying to send the e-mail using Outlook.
