Business RequirementsThere is a business requirement to automatically allocate inventory in the order of "date of manufacture".The "date of receipt" is different from the "date of manufacture" to some extent, although the "date of receipt" is supposed to be received in the order of manufacture. We considered specifying "date of manufacture" for "expiration date," but since "date of manufacture" is basically a past date, it would result in inventory that cannot be used for allocation.I would like to know if there is any feasible way to do this.
Hi! We have over 25 000 Accounts in IFS. Is there an easy way, or any way, in IFS Cloud to search for accounts without connected objects such as sales quotations, orders, leads or business opportunities? An account clean-up is long overdue.
It is often the case in our industry, that the Business Opportunity starts with one customer, but the final product is purchased and delivered to another one. Or, that the customer want the Sales Order to be addressed to another of their companies/accounts. Our challenge now is, that we are not able to change the Account of the Business Opportunity, as the Sales Quotation is attached. It is neither possible to change the Account of the Sales Quotation, because that is attached to the Business Opportunity. The only option seems to be to cancel current Business Opportunity and Sales Quotation, and redo them to the new account. Which is a lot of work. Is there a go-around, how we can during the process change the Account connected to Business Opportunity after Sales Quotation has been created (preferable without losing information)?
We have found a scenario where when we try and move a handling unit, the contents become misaligned.we have discovered only happens when we are executing this functionality in French, when the UI is set to English the operation completes successfully. Any clue what’s behind this scenario?
In the Business Opportunity sub-view References, the Sales Quotation table is showing cells Description and Reference2. We can’t find these original cells in Sales Quotation view. What are these References cells intended use?
Does anyone have any recommendations for how to handle sale and redemption of Gift Vouchers? Scenario is that a Customer (Head Office) buy vouchers from us for their staff to redeem for goods on sale via our website. Head Office have an account with us. Staff also have an account with us. Head office purchase of vouchers needs to hit Deferred Revenue. Payment for the Staff orders is then drawn from this balance. Thinking something like Head Office being “Invoicing Customer” on Staff Customer account. Not sure how we’d then handle Staff buying further items, extra to the voucher, on the same account. Ideally wouldn’t want Staff to have to have two accounts. Any creative solutions gratefully received!ThanksLinda
After creating a Business Activity via the CRM Panel using either the old or new Outlook - we have an option to create a linked Business Mail. Recently, our users have notified us that the linked Business Mail gets created but it does not have the body or attachment in it.We have tested this on our end and it’s not working in either of our test or production environment for any Business Mail that is created via the CRM Panel. We receive this error in the first attempt: After the second attempt, it works but the body and attachment is missing from the Business Mail.Has anyone run into this issue lately? This feature used to work. I checked our CRM and SRM Default values for adding the email body and attachment to the Business Mail via CRM Panel and they have not changed.
Hello dear IFS Community,I have an issue I can't seem to resolve. I have an order where the items have been delivered, and the rental started automatically. My order, status “livré” means “delivered” and “Facturé/fermé” means “invoiced/closed” (this was the line I returned after I ended the rental)My user wants to cancel it. I tried to end the rental at the exact date and time it started, but when I go back to the order, I can’t cancel it.Here you can see that I have ended all the rental linesI then tried to process a hardware return (in the test environment), but the order status changes to “Invoiced/Closed” if I do that.My questions are as follows:- How do I cancel an entire order for which the items have already been delivered?and- How do I cancel a single line in the order for which the items have been delivered? Thank you in advance for your answers
Hi,I was wondering whether we can merge CRM accounts (Category = Customer) if they are not connected to any objects or do not have any transactions in the system. One of our customers using IFS Cloud has integrated IFS with an external POS system. They import CRM accounts from POS system and save these as customers (category = customer). The CRM account is labelled as duplicate, but we cannot see the “Merge Account” command on the header to merge the duplicate with the original account.I understand that merge account work ok for prospects but couldn’t find a document explaining any limitations or why it’s not supposed to work for new CRM accounts when the category is customer. Is this the intended behaviour for CRM accounts of type “Customer”, even if duplicate records don’t connect with any objects or do not have transactions previously recorded in the system? I would like to see how other customers handle duplicate checks and merge CRM accounts when they import accounts directly from
Hello IFS Community,I have a rental order that has been delivered. I created a draft invoice, which I then canceled.I wanted to change an amount on one of the lines of my order, but I can’t do it. So I tried to cancel the line and/or the order, but since rental transactions have been created, I can’t cancel anything.Right now I’m stuck; I can’t invoice this order, cancel it, or change the amount. How can I resolve this situation?Thank you in advance for your responses,Mathilde
Hello,We would like to know whether there is a functionality in IFS that supports the management of customer blanket orders. While it is possible to create a standard customer order and process partial deliveries, we are encountering an issue whereby the commercial invoice generated from the customer order page includes all order lines and quantities, including those that have not yet been delivered. As a result, we currently manage blanket orders by creating multiple customer orders to cover deliveries over the duration of the blanket agreement.Ideally, we would like to create a single blanket order and execute deliveries against it progressively until the agreement period ends. Additionally, we require the ability to generate a commercial invoice for each individual delivery directly from the customer order page.Thank you!
In IFS cloud, how do u control the display of a number, example 3,000.00, show the commas in the correct positions across all forms?
In some cases, there would be a need to close (lost) sales quotations even if the products are not completely configurated. We can have quotations with tens of products, all with complex configurations which is severely time consuming. Therefore, sales may cancel the sales quotation instead of closing it, to save time and keeping the admin work less. This will of course affect the win/loss analysis negatively, not having the full picture. Is there any workaround in having the possibility to close sales quotations with unconfiguren products?
Hello,I am looking for a way to create conditional formatting for the available Qty column within Customer Order Lines. I am looking to have the cell highlight green if the value is greater than the Sales Qty (BUY_QTY_DUE). I am trying to put in the below formula, but it doesn’t look like conditional formatting has the ability to compare the value against a different column value. Is that accurate, or is there a way to accomplish this that I am missing? Thank you,Matt
Use case:Rebates agreement are made with customer for a 12 monthes period for one product : Product AAn amount of rebates is agreed as a % of sales. This Amount is payable via a Rebate invoice once a year.Standard functionality: Rebate transactions are generated with each sales using % setup in rebate agreemeent.Real life:Information related to rebate agreement are known after first invoices have been sent and recorded in the system. How to use the system to accrue rebate for thoses transactions? Agreements can change during the campaing retroactively (eg Rebate % is setup at 10% for the product A at the beguining of te campaing. After a few monthes, Rebate % is brought up to 12% for the same campaign and initial provisions need a reassesment).Dear Community:do you face similars challenges? How do you manage to over come only using IFS cloud standard functionality?
In our DEV or TEST environments Create a customer order for a make to order part Example: Site: MEX Sales Part: 3501-BDLP-95 Sourcing Option = Shop Order Manufacturing Lead time = 4 days Site Picking Lead time = 2 days Customer order O322431 entered in MEX site for customer 12290 Wanted Delivery Date = 10/20/23 Line entered for 3501-BDLP-95, Qty 1 Upon saving the line a popup message appears stating: “Due Date earlier than today’s date. Earliest possible delivery date is 10/27/23”. This calculation would be correct based on the mfg and picking lead time. However, on the customer order line the Planned Delivery Date and Planned Ship Date both state “10/20/23”. So it appears the availability check is calculating the earliest date correctly but is not updated the customer order line with that date. This is standard functionality and has been for years (apps9 and 10). It is required and very important to have accurate planned delivery and ship dates. Is there a new setti
Hi Community! If I open up Page Designer on the Business Activities page (shown below) and look for Attributes on the BusinessActivity entity, some seem to be missing. These “missing attributes” fall into two categories:There are attributes that exist on the Entity but don’t display as options on the Page Designer, such as DateEntered. It’s possible to see DateEntered on the Query Designer so you know it’s there; you just can’t see displayed on the drop-down list of available Attributes it on the Page Designer. There are also attributes that must surely exist in the database somewhere, but don’t even display on the Query Designer. For example, the identity of the user that created the Business Activity. You can see the identity of the Main Representative of the Customer Account but you can’t see the user who added the record. In some cases, they might be different, no?Can anybody advise if there’s a way to display an attribute in category 1 that is present on the Entity but absent on
Currently, the standard lobby does not have a way to filter on country or company level. We work in several countries, and managers would like to have a general overview of only their repsective company or country. How could we create a filter to this lobby, so we could choose to see a specific company or country? The SITE filter does not seem to work in page parameters. A filter box like Status; Activity type; Category would work fine, or if it were editable in page paraemeters.
Hi, It is possible in IFSCloud in the Business Activities view to close (completed) single activity. Is it possible to make the command available also when you choose several activities?
Hello,I’ve encountered a behavior in IFS V10 that doesn’t seem normal.create a first customer schedule (progression 1) with one line. I then release the schedule, which creates the customer order line, and I deliver that line. After that, I create a second version of the schedule (progression 2) containing the two lines: the previous one and a new line. When I release it, I receive an error message saying that the system cannot cancel the first line (that is delivered). However, I don’t understand why the system is trying to cancel it.I repeated the same test in IFS Cloud and I do not get this error. So I’m not sure whether this is a V10 issue or if some configuration is missing.Could you please help me with this?Thank you.
A new functionality called Assembly Kit has been introduced in 25R2, and this solution perfectly fits one of our customer requirements. However, there is a limitation when managing these assembly kits for rental use, as the system has a hard restriction that prevents modifying the contents of an assembly kit through an assembly order when the ownership type is a company rental asset. I understand this limitation exists because the assembly kit cost is calculated based on the component costs. However, we would be keen to know if anyone from R&D can confirm whether there are plans in the future roadmap to enable the Assembly Kit functionality for rental use as well.
Our salespersons creates Prospects, but when working in different countries with different geographical limitations on how to create sales regions, we would need to update the Sales Address Information (Customer view; Address) behind the Prospect. Customer > Address This is by default only permitted to do for Customer. Is there a work-around for this without changing customer category? Use Case: Sending marketing newsletter to Main Representatives Customers/Prospects. Main Rep can be responsible for a wide sales area, with big differences in weather, culture etc. We would need to pinpoint certain parts of the sales area for different newsletter content.Without the Region field in use under Prospect, we cannot pinpoint Prospects in for example northern Sweden if the same Main Representative works also in southern Sweden and can’t personalize the newsletter in regards to region.
In previous IFS versions we were able to see the value of Closed (status) Lost (state) sales quotations in the Sales Quotations view. In current version 25R1 the total net prices for lost quotations is 0.00 even if there are product lines with values in the lost quotation. Current versions still show values for Closed and Won quotations. Is this is a bug or a change that have been requested? This affect negatively the possibility to deep dive into analyzing sales quotations and specially the lost ones. We have thousands of annual quotations to analyze, and it is not practical to open each quotation separately and combining the quotation value in excels...

The associated carrier is defined in Freight Carriers and has an active supplier number in the Invoicing Supplier ID.I’m stumped on where else to look. Can anyone help?(IFS Cloud 25R1)
Can we add a new field value to Business Opportunity Journal? If it is ok can it be done by user? For example BO Notes
